Office staff is extremely rude. Their website mentions emergency hours and they said they always leave appointment slots open for emergencies, so I called on a Saturday morning to see if I could get in for an extraction. I was in arguably the worst dental pain I have ever been in. I was told that they could try to get me in at 11:30, but they couldn't guarantee they would do anything. I brought my child in for a cleaning and was told I could not accompany him to the back. When I explained that I was not comfortable with him being alone, the staff member rudely told me, "you can't come back with him." When I said we would leave, she responded "FINE!!" in a very unprofessional manner. As a parent, I expect courtesy and understanding, even if there are office policies. My son went in for a routine cleaning and a filling , so I thought my was in the opposite room and I was bouncing the two. They begin to do the filling on my son's tooth and decide to not pay attention to what they're doing.! Well some how they drilled til his tooth broke in half by not paying attention. Everything here is a giant shit show, let me explain: The waiting time here is awful, today I had a 3:30 appointment and they got me in at 4:10, 40 minute wait. To add on, the care you receive is awful as well ( from the orthodontic side) I have been in braces since May 2021 and have had 4 different orthodontists work on me and I have been told more than 10 times that " your braces are coming off next appointment" um no they just change my colors and send me on my way even after telling me multiple times my teeth are perfect . I arrived on time for what they informed me would be a 30 minute appointment. the dentist doing the work didn't arrive until 8:21. The nurse who came to get my daughter walked down the hallway at a leisurely pace. i had a meeting at 10am and still needed to get my daughter to school and get to my meeting on time. why schedule us for 8am if she wasn't going to be taken back till 8:25? After making what it seems a thousand calls, no dental practice could get me in for a dental cleaning anytime soon. All appointments seemed to be weeks out. Decided to make one more call. I called Bright Now! Dental. First of all very impressed by the lady that answered the phone. She was SO NICE!!!!!! She said when do you think you can come in, I asked within the next week or so if you have any openings. She said, I have an opening tomorrow, I happen to have a cancellation. YES!! I'll take it! So I went in and guess what "more smiles"!!. I was called by the hygienist a few minutes later. She did the usual x-rays and took me back for cleaning. She did a great job. Cleaned with the water wand, tools, floss, mint buffing thing. Sorry I don't know what that process called. They give options of different flavors for cleaning like bubble gum. I remember the hygienist from years ago when she did my cleaning 5 years ago. The dentist came in and spoke to me about my teeth. The great thing is that they have other specialist come into the office for anything else that you may need. So a one stop, dentistry shop. They offer "Oral Cancer" check up. It only takes 2 minutes or so. I think regular price is $25, they had a special for $15. If you call ask if the special is still going. Also, it may only be offered with a cleaning, etc. Big high "5"!! read more

I made an 8am appointment for a new patient cleaning and X-rays. At 8:45 I went up to ask if there was a problem. I was told the doctor had "multiple" patients for that time slot and there had been a mistake. Somehow they got my name mixed up with someone else's. After asking a few questions I learned that new patients do not get a cleaning, just X-rays and a consult. Then they said their 3rd party that sets up appointments are always telling people they can have a cleaning when they cannot. Why wouldn't they retrain them if they're giving incorrect information?? Then I was told that I would have to wait until April for the cleaning. First impressions are important and theirs sucked. I told them to remove me from their systems completely. They are unprofessional and unorganized. A total waste of my time. I will never use this company. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. The front desk had trouble processing my insurance. I have been waiting to see the dentist since 2:15 today. I have only got my x-rays done and it's already 3:40. Two people are in front of me and two emergency's went ahead of me. The dentists office closes at 4. I understand emergencies happen but I should of been called to see if I still wanted to come regarding the delay. My ride has been waiting on me since 2:15 and has to go soon. I took all my kids, and 2 of the 3 were told they needed two teeth removed, and one cavity filled... we made an appt just to get the cavities filled. They took my first daughter back, and came back ten minutes later... asked me to sign a form.. I asked what for? They told me to Pull her teeth...I said no I didn't approve that, and they said okay.. they already gave her novicane, which she didn't need for a filling.. the dentist also states " why are you giving me such a hard time" to my daughter when she wasn't saying anything. My other daughter asked if they were going to numb her to do her filling, and he told her to stop talking. When we left... the one daughter came in, and said her tooth was hurting real bad... when I looked the entire filling was missing!!! they closed in ten minutes I tried calling, left a voicemail.. of course no one called me back. This morning I took her to another dentist... she got a tooth pulled and a filling in an entirely different tooth... maybe her care plan suggested what needed done, but since no one talked me through it, I never knew why certain things needed done... This is not your neighborhood dentist where you can establish a relationship. Visited on 5/9/19. Periodontist Dr. Nouneh performed small bone graft repair around implant post from previous work. Paid total amount due of $223 upon leaving. Later was sent a bill saying that I owed another $252. (More than double the quoted price!) Visited office on 7/24/19 for explanation. Told "Not sure why insurance denied claim. Thought they cleared with insurance before beginning. Suspect that procedure was previously done in 2017 and too soon to do again. Will call insurance and let me know." Never got call from Lorain office. Got plenty of automated calls and bills however from corporate office. I will pay the balance due - a little at a time. I have spent close to $20,000 at this office in the past 6 years and if I walked in there tomorrow, they would not even know my name. read more

I must say they definitely do things different here. I've been going to a regular dentist all my life, with the exception of this past month. I know what a good dentist does and one who knows what they're doing. First visit was for paperwork and X-rays. My dentist (who I found out had only 4 years experience) did a periodontal chart (whatever it's called where your gum pockets are measured). Mostly 2-3's and a couple 4's, so yay. 4 cavities. Seeing as how I haven't been to a dentist in a year, I didn't think much of it. So I schedule a visit for my fillings. When I went in for them, the dentist put topical gel on my gums and then a minute later (before the gel even had any effect), she stuck me with the anesthetic needle. OMG it HURT!! I've had cavities before, but the needle is usually a little prick because my gums have at least some numbness. I was in shock. I wanted to cry so bad. And then they left to do whatever. So I'm in the chair holding back tears while I'm shaking due to the pain. So about 10 minutes or less goes by and she and the hygienist sit to start working. And then they start discussing her son. Um, ok unprofessional much? I've never heard of matrix bands before prior to this visit. I understand their purpose, but they are uncomfortable as heck! It's a metal band fitting around a tooth that kinda screws into place to tighten it. It's to prevent the filling from spilling onto other teeth. Trying to keep my mouth open wide while these metal rods stick out of my mouth is very hard to do comfortably. Now, the drilling and all went fine, aside from the matrix bands. The dentist didn't do too bad of a job, overall. She just needs to have a little bedside manner, so to speak. However, 2 1/2 weeks later, my upper teeth are sensitive. It's uncomfortable to chew and even flossing around those teeth feels weird, like they're going to come out. The next week for the cleaning went fine. She did her job, sort of. It wasn't too painful. My typical appointments involve pain and bleeding. There wasn't much of that, so I figured I've done a swell job of keeping up my teeth hygiene. Upper left molar seems to snag my floss. She said it's probably from the plaque. Ok no problem. Fast forward a week and I'm worried about my teeth and their sensitivity. After any filling, they've never felt this awkward. I schedule an appointment with my regular dentist. They take X-rays and apparently some filling spilled over and is probably why the tooth feels weird and why it may snag. Oh, and the other hygienist apparently missed some plaque. And I thought a cleaning meant under the gums, too. Nope. But the hygienist mentioned I may need a deeper cleaning, hence why I called my regular dentist. I didn't trust Bright Now. So, at my regular dentist, I got another cleaning to remove the plaque the first gal missed and to get the plaque under the gumline. So, $126 but well worth it. Debating to have my dentist fix that one filling, but I'll see. They didn't see anything else wrong on the X-Rays, so this sensitivity will just have to be dealt with and will hopefully go away on its own. I'm grateful this is kinda trivial compared to some problems other folks have had with the company. However, if your dentist puts on topical gel, make sure to let them know if it kicked in before they stick you with needles. I should've walked out. Who knows? My regular dentist may have found only a couple cavities. Guess I'll never know. But Bright Now won't see my face nor teeth again. read more

Bright Now Dental in Lorain Ohio is the best dental office I have ever been to. The last 2 dentists I have been to wanted to send me to other places for things like extractions & deep cleanings.Not here they did everything in one office. When I had issues with my insurance Sue kept on them until it was taken care of. Dr. J. is so friendly he has me laughing every time I go in. I had a horrible fear of dentists until I came here. Kodie matched my crowns so perfectly that no one can even tell the difference. Dr. J. promised he I would be able to Smile again and have a pretty Smile and we are on our way there. I normally don't write reviews, but my experience was extremely negative & I feel compelled to share this experience in hopes that others will be able to make a carefully considered & informed decision about entrusting their dental care with this place. First, I will tell you that I walked out & will never return. I regret that I didn't leave sooner than I did. In fact, I wish I would have had less patience during the call with the receptionist when she called me by a first name that sounded nothing similar to my actual name that I had corrected her with on four occasions. I even spelled it out for her. Upon my visit, no one looked up or greeted me. I stood at the counter for an awkward moment until I said, "hello?" to a lady that was sitting there. She looked up & said nothing. I told her I am here for an appt & gave her my name. She said, "new patient?" & proceeded to push a clipboard at me before I even had a chance to answer. I go through the rest of the process, giving her my ID & insurance cards, & I sat down to fill out the ridiculous amount of paperwork. I give it back & she returns my cards. Not great service but I could ignore that.. I heard the incorrect name they called me on the phone being called. No one responded so I go to the counter to ask if they were referring to me and they were. I wondered how they missed the mistake after I had given them my ID just moments ago. I also wondered how the person I corrected FOUR times never corrected my name in the system. Note, I remembered her name & she only told it to me once on the call. They then demanded my ID again after I repeatedly told them it had just been copied & the woman who copied it was sitting RIGHT THERE! She said nothing. I have sever anxiety & other things that have kept me from seeing a dentist regularly. I made this appt. because I'm in pain and need immediate attention. I'm terrified & have a crippling sense of embarrassment. I expressed this to the hygienist & she treated me accordingly. She told me the doctor was nice and gentle. However, I was slightly uneasy when they wouldn't allow my mother to accompany me in the back. I've never encountered any doctor or dentist that opposed or refused bringing a person for support. Also, while in the x-ray room, I was able to see the full name and phone numbers of at least 30 patients on the screen in front of me. There is no privacy in the back office where you will be worked on & my x-ray was visible to anyone walking past. That made me extremely uncomfortable. Now to the part where I finally can take no more and leave that awful place...I met the doctor. I was prepared for a professional that was there to help me and have the capacity to understand that I am a human being and should be treated as such. Instead, Dr. Hala Dawed approached me in a very snide and unprofessional manner. She did not treat me with any respect at all. She didn't even have the courtesy to introduce herself. She started off with giving me what I perceived to be a dirty look & sharply questions me in the most condescending tone, "You don't go to the dentist?" I wasn't sure how to respond to that since the question seemed intended to humiliate me due to the way it was asked and the fact that the answer was obviously apparent. She snarkily asked my age as if to shame me, she then became what I perceived as hostile when I replied that I thought she was being rude to me & I was here to see a dentist, not to be lectured or ridiculed for anything. She began asking me what I was there for & snapped at me, "What do you want me to do?" She made me feel so under attack that I blurted out in response, "I am not the doctor! Why are you asking ME what to do?" At this point I was in fear that she would hurt me on purpose & I started feeling that I had to get out of there but I didn't leave just yet. I was devastated because my tooth hurts terribly & all I wanted was to be treated humanely, have it taken care of, & be on my way. So, the doctor snipped back at me that my tooth needed to come out & I told her I was aware & that is why I came. She hastily walked away. I was left alone with no explanation, looking at my x-ray with tears in my eyes, knowing I really need this dental procedure but feeling a total lack of trust for the person that will perform it. The hygienist came back to the chair & basically implied that I should leave. I didn't intend to stay but I was at least going to wait for the doctor to return before I just got up and walked out. She apparently couldn't be bothered to face me again & instead sent her hygienist to try & manipulate me into leaving. I left still in pain & I cried as soon as got to my car & continue to be haunted by the words & treatment I received during that experience. This place treated me terribly & couldn't even get my name right. It was the absolute worst healthcare experience I have ever had & I feel sick knowing that others may go through the same. read more

I have been a patient of Bright Now Dental in Lorain for a few years now and I can only say as long as Dr. Hala Dawed is there I will have the best dentist available anywhere! She is caring, friendly, compassionate, and exceptionally kind. When she went to the No. Olmsted facility, I followed her there. When she returned to the Lorain office I returned, and I will follow her everywhere she goes. She has personality plus and only the patients interest in mind. She focuses on you and only you when you are in her presence. She is OUTSTANDING and I will continue to be her patient as long as she will have me. read more

I'm not happy with Bright Now Dental. My wife is handicapped and because of medications and diabetes she had to have the majority of her teeth removed. We have Delta insurance but like most people we have no idea what it may cover. So we called and gave them our information and made an appointment. We were told that based on our insurance, for all of the work to be done, including her dentures, our bill would be 1424.00. So I paid it all upfront every dime. Then as the treatments and the extractions were done we were told that our insurance would not cover the procedures, even though they had supposedly checked this out before our appointment. Now they want another 1400.00 + dollars to complete the treatments. I called there office and spoke with Diane who promised to research this and call me back with an explanation. Instead I got the bill for 1484.00 with no explanation or guarantee that this would a total figure. My wife still has no teeth and Bright Now seems to only want to hold her teeth for ransom. Their office staff know nothing about the billing and if you ask for a manager they refer you to California. read more
