The service was super quick and the wrapping on my candle was done so well and probably the best wrapping I've seen on a gift. There were two ladies working who were super friendly and chatty and I met their dog who was super chill and let me and my friends pet it. I absolutely love this store!! The displays are so well done and beautiful that I find it very difficult to walk out empty handed....actually, I never do. I always find something to buy. I have purchased everything from candles and decorative rings to go around them, mirrors or unique plates to set them on. I also have some of the glassware. A favorite is an angel that I put up at Christmas time. Susie is the owner and so helpful with ideas. Plus, if you are a dog lover, you might get to meet their furkid!!! Bright World offers a decent selection of gorgeous home decor items. You can tell that the owner really has a passion for design and beauty. The store is well planned out, and I found a few interesting art pieces, as well as some out-of-the-ordinary holiday ware. I wasn't overly impressed with the candles at Bright World... I found many of them to be underscented and lacking variety. I was, however, extremely impressed with the jewelry here. Bright World, IMO, offers the best and most stylish jewelry in Saugatuck, especially for those of us how are on a bit of a budget. Every thing was on trend and extremely affordable! I had a hard time choosing from all the different colors. Definitely a must-visit on my next Saugatuck trip! read more

My first thought is how does one have the capacity and time to organize so many beautiful pieces so well themed in a variety of colors. As a visitor from California I felt I found the treasure chest of Michigan. Everything is for sale and reasonably priced. We wanted to take home an artwork and the owner was helpful but for us it wasn't worth paying shipping for half of the items value. Very sad. But we found other items such as jewelry, sea horse Christmas ornaments and crystal like ornaments for purchase. The owner was nice enough to wrap one of the purchases as our wedding gift for free. My boyfriend and I like to travel light, had we found this treasure store in California I would buy more. I really loved the non flammable, flickering candles, not the lightbulb kind but the illuminating flat paper thin lightbulb that wiggled to create a candle experience. Perfect for people with pets or kids. There is also a little furry mascot, Bomber who is displayed in all the picture frames. Adorable! read more

My same sex partner and I were appalled when we visited bright world candle co on 8/22 and received seemingly discriminatory service by one of the owners herself.  We traveled 3 hours from the Chicago land area to a reputably LGBT friendly community area and were shocked by the service we received.   We walked into the store and were greeted by an eye roll from the female store owner only to see her walk past us and greet two teenage children (whom happened to be a heterosexual couple) with a, " hello. How can I help you?"  There were no other customers in the store, and these children walked in literally 45 seconds after we entered. Unbenoust to the rude store owner, my partner and I enjoy candles and blown glass could have possibly spent a decent amount of money in the store. Not only will we never patronize this business, but we will encourage our friends to do the same. read more

I loved this store. There were candles everywhere, a big variety and some very unusual. They carry lovely silk flowers, some of which I walked out the door with. Their jewelry is unique and lovely. Their home décor is arranged artistically and very eye-catching. And everything is arranged in color sections, which made it very easy to shop. Definitely worth a stop in Saugatuck. read more
