If I am ever in that area, I would like to sit there and cozy up with a book, or do some uninterrupted work. There was also an art show happening with pieces from students in Amherst. What talent. The librarian was kind and enthusiastic about the program. The playground out in front looked wonderful with many children utilizing it. This is a bright, beautiful space offering so much besides the usual library things. It looked like there were a bunch of meeting rooms as well.

This is a nice, clean, spacious, and quiet library. Almost half of the library is dedicated to…read morefamily, kids, and young adult. There are about 5 kid PCs and 10 adult PCs. The library has a big selection of audio books and a good selection of DVDs too. In the non-fiction section, they have signs to point out where each collection starts. They also have a big selection of large print, and a big collection of test prep books and some job resource books too. I really like the nice displays that they have within the library and in the hallway too! Lots of places to sit and work within the library too.

I stopped here to check it out as part of the passport stamp collection the library is running. The passport stamp, which is every library is handing out a unique sticker and after visiting all 37 libraries in Erie County, and if you are the first 1,000, will receive a gold library card. It goes from May 1 through Aug. 31., 2026. I love that the local garden club made a little dish garden. It brightened up the space. I was there on a Tuesday close to 6pm, when they closed, but the library was bustling. It was great to see.

What a good thought it was. They have a whole bunch of them here, maybe 10? The seating is comfortable is easy. Staff are super happy to explain the computer usage process. I did check out the rest of the library as well, and noticed they have a very nice large cookbook selection. They made it easy for me to pick up a new library card as well. Tons of easy parking here. I'll be back.

The second floor is a quiet floor and the library take that very seriously, which is helpful if you need to get some real work done. There's a plethora of databases and software on all of the computers. As well you can check out a laptop for 2 to 3 hours if need be; they offer PCs and Macs.

There is a close by parking lot ( Sherman lot) , like 2-3 min walking . During busy hours it is really crowded. The computers are kinda old. Printing area is small but fast. They just have one bathroom for whole building ! So like if you want to use the bathroom you should go all the way to downstairs. In the basement there is no air, and the fans are really old. Third floor is good because has lots of light coming in and the colors make you calm and happy

There are always computers available, there's a little cafe, but it's hard to find a desk on the ground floor that has goo access to an outlet. The print room is hard to find, but this is definitely a good study location, which is what college libraries are mostly for, right? There's always an interesting display when you walk in and it's easy to walk around and learn a little about the human body. A pretty neat spot, though it does have a sparse and outdated feel. No rich mahogany or cathedral ceilings, but you won't find that anywhere at UB.
