There is something for everyone, and I could seriously get lost combing the aisles for books all day. They have a media section as well, one that my friend sings praises over as she binges on new music and movies. And sometimes, when you're lucky, the first floor is flooded with old books looking to be rehomed. Don't wait for the sale, come explore, and keep coming.

We have been to paint nights for both adults and even my 1 year old, they had a cool baby race my daughter participated in, we gave been to trivia and always participate in their summer read program. The LaSalle public library is located on Buffalo Ave in NIagara Falls . The building itself is beautiful . The library is immaculate, you can tell the staff take pride in what they do . This is not a large library , but does have a respectable selection of books and dvds . The children's book section is well stocked and I feel all children should have the experience while we are still fortunate enough to have local libraries . The second floor has some study rooms and computer rooms they are quiet and spacious . There is a nice enclosed "quiet" study room as well . I love all the old woodwork, just beautiful . I often visit to have a quiet place to do some work and appreciate having the perfect space so close to home . Hours have recently changed so you May want to call for the latest hours of operation . There is a children's computer room as well on the first floor with I believe three computers . Fun fact : scenes from the movie "Marshall" were filmed here .

This library is clean and beautifully maintained. The librarians were friendly as well. There is a large parking lot. For a Friday afternoon it was quite busy. Plus they were open later, which is convenient for us. So after work, off we went. The Clarence Library has plenty of parking in a big lot, which was light-and-bright on a cold, dark night. As soon as you walk in, you can see the full expanse of the vaulted, open space. It is a nice-sized library, with well-marked sections. Movies are to the right, adult books to the left, teen and children materials in the back, periodicals in the back-right corner, with all the other sections you'd expect to find at a library somewhere in between. There were computer workstations spread out in pod-like setups throughout the space, a few together in each pod, and some chunks of seating areas too. It took me a minute to find my Harry Potter items, as the books were not in Youth or YA, but rather in a separate "Series" section in the middle of the library. And the movies were in a separate "Family Viewing" section, too. But a friendly librarian helped me find everything that I needed, which was all in stock. Clarence is a very nice, bright, inviting library. When we need something and the hours/availability are convenient again at Clarence Library, we'll be back! :-)

Sonoma, the librarian is knowledgeable and helpful. I went in looking for graphic novels. Some…read morelibraries have a them in a separate section but Youngstown does not. I didn't know what I was looking for and just wanted to browse but having them mixed in with all the other books made that almost impossible. They don't even have a graphic novel sticker on the spine like some other libraries do. I was bummed until I talked to Sonoma. She apologized for not having them organized by genre and said she hopes to get that done soon, it's been on the list of things to do for a while. First she asked some questions to see what type would interest me most. Then she proceeded to gather graphic novels off the shelf for me. piling one after another on a table. She explained each one just a bit as the stack grew. She had great insight and knowledge that I appreciated. I ended up with about 20 books (I'm kind of obsessed and couldn't resist Sonoma's enthusiastic "sales pitch"). When I checked out she even put them in a nice bag for me (asking me to return the bag next time I visit) and I left there so happy with a ton of new reading material. Many of the titles were really, really good too! Sonoma turned me on to new authors that I will continue to read. There's nothing like a librarian who knows her stuff!
