I'm from Detroit and absolutely love Faygo! They had lots of flavors. Even diet! But they were really expensive for 20 oz bottles. I think they were $4. Might have even been $5. I'd have bought the whole shelf if they were $3 or less, lol. If you're willing to pay extra for stuff you can't get here, you'll have a great time!

Dont get me wrong I understand it may cost them. But come on. .50 cents plus state tax AND the tax they charge 55cents. For a 99cents a black and mild Jazz at the store is $1.55? I'm sorry, there is no way that's legal. Anything bought under $5 on debit has a 55cent tax. I use debit and credit cards everywhere and I've NEVER been charged so much. I've seen them charge customers different prices higher prices than what's posted. Most of the items dont have pricing on the so they can charge you 100-400% more. Unfortunately this is the closest local store that I can go to since I dont drive, yet, but weather permitted I will ride my bike to a further store. They have a lot of unhappy customers which is probably why one of their window was smashed out .....I DO NOT CONDONE VIOLENCE OR DAMAGING SOMEONE PROPERTY AT ALL, but I guess karma is a bitch after all. They do not give you itemized receipts for a reason. Think about it. Why wouldn't they?

Looked this up online- it said it sounds spoiled. When I called the store, the customer service desk told me that because I purchased it in the reduced price area it's not refundable- I purchase from the reduced priced area regularly and I am fully aware of their no-refund policy on reduced items-It's labeled right on the front of the fridge door, but come on!! DOES THE STORE REALLY THINK ITS OK TO SELL SPOILED ITEMS??

I'm so used to Wegmans, which is a powerhouse, that I was shocked to see how few registers they had up front. But the lines were not long. They have a good sized produce section, a deli, and a bakery. (Apparently they make the donuts from scratch!) I picked up a few of those to try, and they were delicious. In the back by the bakery is a cute little floral department. Spring gnome decorations were EVERYWHERE, and my daughter thought that was just THE BEST. There is also a pharmacy nestled right in the middle of the store. Prices were a bit more expensive than you'd find at the "big box" stores for many items, but I saw quite a few that were price comparable or cheaper. They've got some great day of the week deals (like sticks of butter on Tuesday, a half gallon of milk on Friday). I also loved the signage - they tagged gluten free, dairy free, heart healthy, and sales were easy to spot. For being a smaller store, they also had a pretty great selection of specialty items! There was a good 4ft sized section in produce devoted to meat free and dairy free right up front. I definitely plan on going back to try out more of the baked goods, and the pizza slices smelled delicious, too!

Since then, as many gas stations have, its been converted to a store. This store is like so many others here in the city. It sells basic needs. Beer, milk, soda, bread, toiletries, cigarettes, and of course lottery and gas. The stores hours are from 6 to 10 Monday through Saturday, and Sunday 7 to 10. The owner and employees are from India. Very polite.

But that's changed (or maybe I just misunderstood!), and now anyone can shop here. Prices are a bit higher about $2-$5 more than other grocery stores depending on what you're getting, also know you're supporting a community focused, local business. It's not a huge place, but they've got a solid selection of essentials, and some nice specialty items too. There's even an outdoor area if you want to relax with a snack or a drink. Staff is pleasant, friendly and helpful. They have private parking lot! I'll definitely be back.
