I appreciated her diligence and the effort she put into my case. Old review : I had total knee replacement surgery. This company contacted me initially and we set up times. The RN came and she was Amazing! The PT came and he was great. What I have major issues with is I was supposed to be getting 3 sessions a week for two weeks minimum.. On my about to be third session , the PT said oh we don't have pre authorization. I wondered about this so I called. The company would not call me back. I called twice. I waited 7 hours and no follow up call. I called a third time around 3 in the afternoon . I finally got someone and they said, " Oh we don't have pre authorization." I said , "Then how did you guys send people to my house in the first place?" They still have not answered that question. I still should be having PT sessions , it was knee surgery, the Dr. office did send that over (I checked) , and still no services and no calls from this company when I should be having therapy. Knee surgery is a difficult surgery mentally and emotionally, and to have to deal with this is unacceptable. I rated the company a 1 only because I really liked the PT and OT. Their management , scheduling , return calls needs to be improved.

The companions have been wonderful. Our regular one Lisa D is a jewel! She keeps us informed of how he is doing, activities he is participating in and anything he needs. Elizabeth has been a godsend in what ever role she is doing for Dad. I highly recommend BrightStar!

The entire team has been a godsend during this challenging time, and we cannot recommend them highly enough. We want to specifically recognize two exceptional individuals: Dora and Sunny. Their dedication to my 88-year-old mother's recovery has been remarkable. They approach her care with a perfect blend of professional expertise and genuine compassion, consistently going above and beyond to help her regain her strength and independence. Dora and Sunny's consistent encouragement and specialized support have been crucial in getting her back on her feet and well on her way to normal. The rehabilitation process can be daunting, but thanks to the tireless efforts of the care/rehab staff, my mother feels motivated and cared for every step of the way. The entire facility provides a warm, supportive, and safe environment for its residents. We are incredibly grateful for the peace of mind knowing she is in such capable hands. The Oaks at Flower Mound is truly a five-star community.

My mother went from a townhouse to a one bedroom apartment and it was perfect for her. The weak link to the whole operation is the dining room, and my experience is that most assisted living properties struggle in this area. The dining room is not carpeted and so quite noisy for the residents. Food service can be uneven and the food was often not very hot! But I found that if my mother asked to have something fixed, the servers were always kind and accommodating! My mother passed away one year ago. I was with her along with hospice, which they allowed to take care of her in her apartment. I found the staff of The Oaks to be so accommodating and concerned. I wish my mother could have enjoyed living there for many more years!

Nurses can't take care of patients because management lacks knowledge of what their own role so they think they are giving them right guidance. The so called upper leaders from all departments are inexperienced. They put themselves on a high horse while being arrogant with their dictatorial style of management. The HR department lacks the skills and abilities. What can you expect when the top is an inexperienced person. He got his position because he knew someone who put him there (that someone was also canned from the company. He didn't know what he was doing either. Just big talker.). Not a surprise. Most of the higher up managers got their position because they knew someone. Don't work for this company. It will be time wasted. Go get care from some other places. So many other better run organizations. Three Oaks is the best. Go there for your relatives care.

Worst Home Health experience I've personally had. I deal with many home health companies, but the…read morelack of communication, professionalism, and response has made this a very trying time. I had extensive back surgery, but they did not start my therapy sessions for almost a week once I was home. I did not get a shower for a week and that was only after calling the company three times to have someone sent out. Occupational therapy was basically nonexistent, but the work they did was not safe. The OTA had to redo everything the OT set up for safety reasons. Appointments were canceled, but I was not informed, there was never a care conference to explain to me what my care would be, for how long, or any outcome expectations. When I called my case manager, she was never once in the office nor did she return any phone calls. I was referred to her manager, and then the managers manager, and after multiple phone calls was still unable to even receive a return call. With so many choices of companies, this will never be on my list for myself or my clients. The only reason I did not drop this company and change was due to having a wonderful physical therapist and LVN. Without them, my recovery never would've happened to the point where I got. Sadly, I'm nowhere near where I should be.
