The HR department lacks the skills and abilities. What can you expect when the top is an inexperienced person. He got his position because he knew someone who put him there (that someone was also canned from the company. He didn't know what he was doing either. Just big talker.). Not a surprise. Most of the higher up managers got their position because they knew someone. Don't work for this company. It will be time wasted. Go get care from some other places. So many other better run organizations. Three Oaks is the best. Go there for your relatives care.

Located on the 7th floor of Presby's main hospital building, Seasons Hospice was an easy transfer…read morefrom a regular hospital room for someone not expected to live very long: my dad. He spent a week in the hospital and 3 days in hospice before he passed. This small, 15-bed unit with large windows was exactly what we needed. Several extra folding chairs were provided when family came to visit. A recliner or stuffed chair was in every room. Each room had a large private bathroom. There were 2 nurses (RNs) on duty and only 1 other patient on the floor while my dad was there. So, basically, he had his own private nurse for his brief stay! Although I worked mostly with Brandon, all the nurses were kind, compassionate, attentive, informative, respectful to my comatose father, talking to him often about what they were doing. I really like that. The family was also notified immediately of any meaningful change in his breathing status. His passing was very peaceful, like a slipping away. All in all, it was a very positive experience, and I recommend the hospice at Presby for any shorter-term hospice need.

They advertise, or used to, that they will make a stuffed bear out of the clothing of your loved one. After the sub-standard, or non-existent at times, care my dear husband received, a staff member did come and pick up some of his clothing, his treasured cashmere jacket and a pair of his bluejeans. Time passed. And passed. I called to inquire about the status of my bear. I did receive a call back. Allegedly, EVERYONE CONNECTED with my husband's clothing has died! The volunteer who picked up his clothing and the bear maker. His clothing has disappeared. No offer of restitution has been made. I've been brushed off. I am so seriously angry with this Bozo outfit. They have a name change, but the product is the same. Excuses after excuses. Avoid at all costs.

They let my 92 year old mom suffer for 9 days without any comforting meds and then discharged her from their service after they sent her to the ER. Thankful for the knowledge of several local assisted living facilities that advise which hospice company to use and NOT use. Medicare pays hospice $7,00000 a month and Enhabit did nothing. I am hopeful the ombudsman will educate them better on their role as a hospice facility.

From the first visit we noticed a difference in the level of service provided by Accolade. The nurses are extremely competent and they displayed a sincere interest in the patient as well as our family. They helped get us through a difficult end-of-life situation. She was defensive and adversarial when questioned about treatment. When the patient passed, there was no follow up call and it took more than one call to get the medical equipment picked up and there was no instruction for disposal of meds hospice left. The minister was looking to us for direction on how to proceed. I would not recommend this hospice for overall compassion.
