IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A RELIABLE HOME HEALTH CARE AGENCY - STAY AWAY FROM BRIGHTSTAR CARE OF NORWOOD, MA!
If I could give Brightstar Care a "0" I would. Their lack of professionalism & communication skills is atrocious!
I had a GREAT NURSE (her name is LIZ) for my IVIG infusions for quite some time. I found out this evening that she no longer works for the company. I was shocked and really mad when I heard this information. I asked how long LIZ had been gone & they said recently.
With that being said, I ask the Nursing Director Julie, why I was not notified of Liz's departure from the company. She had no answer for me. I was suppose to have a 4-5 hour treatment today & tomorrow and no one showed up @ my house this morning. "I HAD TO CALL THE MAIN OFFICE" today around 9:30am to find out what the heck was going on! Julie, the company's Nursing Director, told me she would do her best to get a nurse to do my infusions & she would get back to me. I waited all day & no call from Julie.
Well, around 5:00 this evening I decided to call the office to find out the status of my situation. I was horrified that Julie had not taken the time to check in with me. Is making a courtesy call that hard? She told me she hasn't been able to find a nurse, but she would keep trying.
It is common sense (to me) for any healthcare professional to give their patients an update on what the status of their situation is. There is so much more I could say, but for right now I want you to know I asked Julie to ask the owner of the company BRIAN SILEN to call me ASAP! I have an appointment right now that I need to keep, so I will stop right now & continue with my review As soon as I can.
It's now 10:15pm & still no call from BrightStar's owner or anyone from his staff. They have no idea of what customer service is & during my experience with them, I honestly do not believe they care.
The employee turnover for BrightStar Norwood is enormous. It doesn't surprise me, how can anyone work in the health care field when caring, compassion & communication with clients is not a top priority.
In my experience/my opinion of BrightStar is "they are incompetent & lack the intelligence to take care of their patients/clients and their own office!
It's 8:30am on 9/11/19
In his response to my post,Brian S - BrightStar's owner states "he left me a voicemail mail", but the fact of the matter is I NEVER RECEIVED A VOICEMAIL from BrightStar's owner. This only solidifies my position of BrightStar's lack of communication with it's clients.
For the record, I have a cell phone, as I stated, I DID NOT RECEIVE A VOICEMAIL & BrightStar was not listed in my recent call log. Either I was lied to or BrightStar's called the WRONG PHONE NUMBER. Either way, I still have no resolution to my problem for getting my treatments. The owner stated they were trying to fill the position, however HE DID NOT EXPLAIN WHY PATIENTS WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF A CHANGE IN STAFF!
AGAIN, TOTAL LACK OF COMMUNICATION!!!!!
I live in Norwood (right down the street from your office) I want to know why Julie, your nursing director can not cover the temporary gaps in you schedule! Why can't someone step up & take responsibility for your patient's care?
Brian, your response to my post was a bunch of EXCUSES! You have to take responsibility of your staff's incompetence. YOUR STAFFING PROBLEMS are NOT MY PROBLEM they are your problem. Stop passing the buck!
MY HEALTH CARE IS SUFFERING due to this entire situation. A lot of this could have been avoided by a simple phone call from your office staff. You & your office knew you had a staffing problem & you FAILED to communicate it to your clients. Your customer service is disgraceful!!! You should be ashamed of yourself & your lack of business ethics !!!!
STOP APOLOGIZING & DO SOMETHING!!! read more
