We tried working with Home Instead and the county detectives to prevent him from ever working with a senior again, but after nearly a year, it seems that nothing will be done to stop it. I have heard very good things about Home Instead, and there were some great care givers I interacted with, who I would highly recommend. However, stealing large amounts of money from a dying man is not OK. In the end there was video and other evidence, but nothing happened. This isn't about the money for me, but I don't want anyone to have this happen to them. Home Instead and the investigators should have blackballed this guy for life --- but now he could be taking care of your Mom or Dad. That's very, very wrong.

The last straw was when they left my mom home alone for an hour before calling to say they didn't have someone available for that day. You hired an agency because you want the peace of mind knowing someone will be watching over your family member. You are looking for reliability. This organization doesn't offer it.
