The concern is the director , I have notice she doesn't interact with the parents nor does she interact with the kids. i watch the cameras and not one time have i seen her in the classroom interacting with the children and that's not good at all. She is new and as a parent i want to trust the fact my child is be loved by all not just a few . It starts at the top. When i drop off in the morning she is sitting at the desk no hello or good morning to parents or kids. when i pick up still she is in the same spot . no goodbyes to parents or the kids. I said why, something was wrong the daycare flooded. so after that i lost my job. but before the flood and ect, i received calls he was sick he running off, he have a temperature of 101. he was wrote up for chocking a child, he had a attitude and ect.. we talking about a 1year old that can't talk never been around kids the size of a 6 month old. i have more to say but u get the picture.

The best thing this center has going for it is the new Director, Stephanie. Unfortunately, our experience with Executive Director Simmie (who also happens to be the daughter of the owners) was consistently disappointing. When we raised concerns, we often felt dismissed, and communication was poor. Instead of feeling like our concerns were heard or addressed, we left many conversations feeling frustrated. Another ongoing frustration was there was rarely anyone available at the front of the building during morning drop-off. When we first started attending, there was someone at the desk but toward the end there was never administration present in the morning. The teachers were tucked away in their rooms but no one in the front of the building - raising safety concerns. If parents had a question, concern, or needed to communicate something important about their child, there often wasn't anyone there to speak with. It gave the impression that parent communication was simply not a priority. One of our concerns was that the primary afternoon teacher had difficulty communicating with us in English. We found this challenging, especially when discussing our son's day and developmental progress. When we raised this concern, we did not feel it was taken seriously by Simmie. In contrast, Stephanie acknowledged that this communication barrier was a significant issue and recognized the impact it had on families. We appreciated that she listened and understood why it mattered. We also repeatedly asked for support with potty training and were told it would be addressed, but we never saw a consistent plan implemented. The classroom itself appeared to have a limited selection of older toys, and we saw very little evidence of structured educational activities or curriculum. Our son frequently came home with reports of scratches, hitting, and other incidents involving classmates. While occasional incidents happen in any daycare, the frequency became concerning to us and ultimately contributed to our decision to leave. The difference since changing schools has been remarkable. In just two weeks at his new center, our son has been happier, more engaged, and thriving. Every family's experience may be different, but based on ours, I encourage parents to thoroughly explore all of their childcare options before making a decision.

The teachers are great and communication is constant and easy. It was a hard transition to go to one nap a day- my kid has to be dropped off at 630- but all daycares I checked out do that. We enrolled both our sons at this Discovery Point, location #43, including our youngest, who was twenty-two months old and couldn't yet tell us about his day; my adult stepson handled most of the pickups, and he is as agreeable as they come. We were also, in those same weeks, grieving -- we'd just had to put our family dog of nearly 18 years down. Try explaining "all dogs go to heaven" to a sad toddler before school. The center expelled our toddler on a single afternoon's notice -- no meeting, no warning, by email. Its own behavior policy promises a parent conference and a plan before it ever comes to that. We got neither. Days later, in writing, the company told us both that his behavior was serious enough to remove him the same day and that it had offered to let him return for the rest of that week. Both of those cannot be true. The records the center pointed to were kept in an app it had repeatedly told families was malfunctioning, and that I was locked out of for months before he was removed. Within a single two-week stretch, those records listed my son as three different ages, though he had been attending for nearly a year. On billing, the center's own director admitted in writing -- more than once -- that there were errors, and only issued some corrections. Then, weeks after expelling my son, the center asked every family to sign a revised disenrollment policy -- one that now reserves the right to 'immediately disenroll the child with no notice' and to 'terminate services for inappropriate behavior of parents or guardians.' Prospective parents should read that twice. I am not writing this in anger. A daycare holds something irreplaceable: very young children who cannot speak for themselves, and the trust of the families who leave them there. We were an easy family to be honest with, and we would have worked with them. Instead, the paperwork mattered more than the child -- and even the paperwork could not keep its story straight. I hope this helps the next family ask the questions we did not know to ask.

I am a teacher so I receive a significant discount but outside of that the price still undercut our nearby Goddard school and Primrose academy. Of course this school has the standard KRK curriculum but what it has to differentiate itself is heart & investment, i.e. Splash pad (2x a week in the summer = more work for the teachers but they believe it's worth it!), spring and fall festivals (the whole place turns into a giant carnival and it's all from the owners pockets), weekly magic man/ music enrichment / gym activities (also part of your tuition), spring and winter performances - real lights, choreography, music and performance by our little ones! The teachers here mostly have at least 5-10 years of service. That should speak volumes. In fact, because hiring is never perfect, when there were concerns, I have seen this team all hands on deck to address it effectively. So....
