While at the hospital, I had to pick an on-call pediatrician from one of two places in Georgetown to come examine the baby. After having a sour experience with the other office, I choose Bluegrass Pediatrics. I met Dr. Knight that evening at Georgetown Hospital and liked him so much that we decided to stick with him at Bluegrass Pediatrics instead of the pediatrician in Lexington that I had originally planned to see. I'm glad we did. Dr. Knight has given us the best care, always listening to us -- even if he didn't agree with us. The staff members at Bluegrass Pediatrics itself are very friendly and polite. They are also quick to get us in for an appointment within the same or next day as needed.... and have a pediatrician available for phone calls when office hours are closed. The office may not be bright and flashy, but don't let that fool you. (They are also a family practice, it's not just for kids -- so your kids can go here for their entire lives!) There is also a separate sick and well area, although you have to walk through the sick area to get to the front desk/doctor anyway. Sadly, we are not currently patients at Bluegrass Pediatrics as of this month because of a change in insurance. It is a bit frustrating (especially as we had a medical need for our child recently), but it is what it is. I'm still thankful for the care my son received here. Highly recommend.

Kris and the numerous available therapists know their craft and are prepared to do what it takes to get you restored to your best self. They accommodate your schedule and can offer you a variety of options to strengthen your body. There are also more than one location to keep you from traveling across town. This place actually explained what I had and what causes it / what I need to target and do to help heal and really helped me understand and learn about the problem. Same with the exercises, explaining how they will help and the muscles being strengthened etc. They really make sure you understand everything that is going on instead of diagnosing you and giving you a sheet of exercises. Very friendly people as well. Definitely recommend.

I can barely function. I have severe sciatic nerve issues causing me extreme pain. I have numbness that is increasingly getting worse. I can't even walk for more than a few minutes without becoming unstable on my feet. He didn't bother to ask questions about it and was completely dismissive towards me. He asked me if I wanted an MRI. I said since I could HARDLY function, I would think it would be necessary, but he acted like he could care less if I had one done. I now have to start all over and find another doctor because there is no way I would ever let him treat me for anything. Useless... a complete waste of time and money. When someone goes to see a specialist, it is because they need care. To have a doctor express no concern for a patient or not bother to listen to them or take them seriously should not be treating anyone.
