APR has a good variety of options for you to play with. And it does feel like playing! It was a lot of fun to mix and match tableware and linens to see how the different combinations looked. In fact, we had another appointment scheduled at a different rental provider, and after spending the morning with her at APR, we cancelled the other appointment. Our wedding was at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham, and I was thrilled with how seamlessly APR worked with the museum. After we chose our rentals, we had to do very little--the rest went through the venue, even when we had to make some last minute changes to accommodate changed table sizes. I came here to rent a Billy Goat Aerator, and reserved my rental over the phone the week before. The pickup for the aerator went well, and I paid for the rental when I picked it up. The aerator itself was great - I had no problems with it and it worked well. When I went to return it on Monday, I was told I still owed a balance, even though over the phone, I was quoted a different price. They ended up taking care of the problem, but I wish it would have been made clearer either over the phone when I reserved the aerator, or the day I picked it up. In the end, I am glad they took care of the miscommunication issue, and besides that one mishap, the rest of the rental process went smoothly.

Not. follow…read moreyour GPS which will tell you to turn right on the exit ramp of the highway, and which you may blindly listen to. (Ahem.) General Rental Center is woefully located on a road that is accessible only via the Waffle House parking lot (or a hidden-ish dirt road off Christian, about 1/5 a mile ahead). I greeted the front desk guy and told him I was interested in some glassware rentals for the weekend. I'd looked at the website in advance, so had an idea of what I wanted; at the Center, I got to look at them in person and confirm. The really cool thing is that they don't charge an extra fee for splitting a rack (competitors I looked at will charge you $5 to do this). They also said I could pick up anytime Friday, instead of having to get them Saturday. AND I didn't even have to pay a deposit or sign any paperwork. I mean, I did only rent a total of 50 pieces; but I've worked with rental operations before, and I have to say GRC's flexibility is really awesome. On top of that, the guy who helped me was exceptionally personable and made one of today's "chores" a pleasure!
