Watch and question their numbers. Typical shady dealership trickery changing the numbers hoping you won't notice, playing games like trying to pressure you into putting money down when you don't need to, continuing to negotiate after the deal, and even giving the old "I'm probably going to get fired for this" line to which I laughed out loud. My wife and I arrived knowing the exact vehicle we wanted to purchase. Spoke with a polite, knowledgeable, and relatable salesperson. Worked a deal on a $91k MSRP for just under $61k after trade and add ons. So we had plenty of equity to get the financing done. Salesperson said everything looked great and moved me to finance where things went off the rails. Typical finance guy that tries to act hard-nosed and "is what it is" so you'll think you don't have options and you won't negotiate. He reads me my approval and tells me the monthly payment. I of course told him no, that's over $200 a month more than it should be. He tells me my credit must have been good before but not now and that the interest rate would be much higher than before. I told him I knew rates are higher now but his rate was far higher than what it should be. We all know the dealership makes money of our interest rate so that's the usual tactic. Then he told me I needed to put some money down to get the rate lower. I told him that wasn't happening. He continued to pressure me to do so and I repeatedly told him no. I had an auto loan calculator open on my phone and started running numbers. I noticed even at the interest rate he stated, then numbers didn't make sense. I asked him what the total finance amount was and he gave me a number just over $64k. That was over $3k more than the deal the salesperson and I had agreed on. When I called him out on it he left the room and said he'd find out what happened. The correct amount was right there in front of him on the deal sheet. He was either doing something shady and hoping I wasn't going to question it, or the guy just doesn't know how to enter numbers into the computer. To me it was obvious some shady stuff was going on. He came back in and put in the correct numbers. He still came up way off from what the payment should be and again pressured me to put money down. He then began trying to negotiate the payment "I'd be good with". I stood my ground and told him I had a 4.5 hour drive home so I needed to hit the road. When I walked out I was met by the salesperson and his manager. I told them we couldn't make it happen. They then tag teamed up, pressuring me and telling me how they were already losing money on the deal and how much vehicle I was getting for my money. (Two days later I saw they posted my trade in for over $27k when they gave me $21k for it. I know the business and that doesn't bother me but to tell me they are losing money on the deal is just a huge lie.) Both were talking over each other I'm sure just trying to confuse and overwhelm me. They then started trying to negotiate a payment that would work for me. I caved a bit and went up $25 per month. The manager said he'd make it happen and head to the finance office saying "I'll probably lose my job for this" to which I laughed loudly and said "you're not going to lose your damn job". He returned and said they had it worked out. I went back into finance and finished up the deal. In the end I didn't feel great about it because I know they still got over on me a bit but it was a deal I could live with. So after that I just put on a smile and played nice to get delivery wrapped up and get headed home. The salesperson had said they would hand wash the vehicle and fill it up. When he brought it around it had been washed. Once I left, I looked down and saw less than a 1/4 tank of fuel. So I guess they saved themselves the cost of a tank of fuel too. My summary. Upon arrival I really thought I had found a smaller dealership that would be different than the big city high pressure places. I was wrong. They are just as shady in their practices. I would have stayed home and done business with my local dealership that I trust and normally deal with but the vehicle I purchased was a limited edition and my local dealership was not allocated one. Trust me, there are still dealerships like my local one that will be straight forward with you and never once pressure you or take you out of your comfort zone. Brinson is not one of those. AVOID THIS PLACE!! I initially went there to get my coolant line but also decided to get an oil change since I was due for one. Zero issues with the repair. You normally get a 16 point inspection sheet when your oil change is done but I got one for a different vehicle. I was told that, "If there was something wrong with your truck we would have told you," when I asked where my inspection sheet was. I was told to wait until a mechanic returned from lunch to have my truck inspected again. I am still 100% sure they pencil whipped my inspection. I was so disappointed. I went to this dealership to see if there was an issue with the transmission I bought here that still has a warranty and to get the motor replaced on my front truck seat because it went out. They gave me a HUGE list of items that I was told was wrong with my Dodge truck. One of the items listed was my radiator and my water pump both and they said both had a leak and needed to be replaced. That with other things and my seat motor came up to a whopping $4,021.90! I was very angry that the dealership would lie to me like this and try to rip me off! Moores also told me that the valve they changed in my truck did not need to be changed. When I took my truck back to the dealership because the engine light was still on--they told me it was due to a bad battery that my voltage was low. I went and had my battery replaced and went back to the dealership and they had to keep it for another two days to get the engine light off. They refused to give a refund back for the WRONG valve they replaced in my truck! So they kept my money for that valve they replaced IN ERROR! So they expect me to pay for THEIR mistake. Brinson is the worst dealership! I drove in there back in April 29,2022 with oil in my coolant reservoir. I left my car there til May 9, 2022 waiting for a diagnostic I never got to this day. The service manager said I needed a new engine cause they had another jeep there with the same problem. They lied on me, I was told to take my jeep back there by FCA stating my engine was was under warranty. They came up with every reason under the sun why it's not covered by warranty, gave me a $29,514.17 engine estimate. Problem was really just the oil cooler. They broke all kinds of other stuff in the process. I've picked up, turned around and brought it back a ton of times. Paid full coverage for this whole year for a car they've had that I couldn't drive, they forced me to buy another vehicle so I'm out of another $47,000. March 2023 they left a pcv hose disconnected and I got sick could have died from carbon monoxide poisoning, had to turn around and take it right back again. My husband bought a carbon detector and just finally said we're picking it up. They have broken a $3000 + wiring harness, left pieces missing off my engine etc. This is a disaster, I took care of my jeep it was a very nice indoor stored vehicle always Dodge Ram dealerships fixed. I was in town for a horse show over the weekend when I ran into a check engine light problem on my 3500 deisel RAM truck. I took it to the service department as soon as the light came on Friday morning and Jessica took excellent care of me and my truck. It ended up being a problem I'd had worked on a few months earlier. Knowing I was from out of town and here with horses, they were able to order the part and get it installed on Saturday. Loved the text message updates as well as phone calls. I've gotten two cars here: 1. 1997 Pontiac Grand AM GT (used) - this was the second car I ever owned and was basically my car for most of college. It needed a few repairs in the first couple months, but was pretty good after that and the engine sounded great (very "manly"). Only thing I really didn't like about it was the color (purple), but hey, what can you do. 2. 2005 PT Cruiser (lease) - this was my first lease and I loved it. It didn't get the best gas mileage, but didn't have any problems at all mechanically and had lots of room inside. The leasing process was also easy. All the salespeople are friendly and the facilities manager is probably the best in the business. Also, if you have kids, they have a nice indoor play area with free arcade machines. I custom ordered a 2021 Dodge Challenger wide body from these people, bought it w 0 miles on it and two weeks after I received the car, I get a flat. They tell me they can't fix it, even tho I bought a wheel and tire warranty from them, because, as they claim, the warranty doesn't kick in for 30 days. After arguing w them for 2 days they tell me to bring in my car so they can see what they can do about it. I take my car to them, then they claim they can't remove my wheels because "they don't want to scratch them" so they send me down the street to some other, random tire shop and they proceed to tell me that the dealership is lying and That they should be capable of fixing the problem. I went to multiple other tire shops and they told me the same thing...to take my car to the dealership. I realized the dealership was just trying to shoo me away so they won't have to deal w it and possibly hoping id get it fixed somehwere else so they can find a way to void my warranty. FINALLYYYYY after going to about 5 tire shops and riding w a flat tire for about two days they finally agree to replace my tire. Ok whatever. Fast forward 2 months and I'm ready for my first oil change. I called in advanced to schedule it and make sure I have my oil changes that I paid for when I bought the car (10 oil changes for $1500), which is a rip off in and of itself because a regular oil change from dodge costs no more than $100 and EVEN LESS if you buy a plan direct from Mopar (about $65 per oil change) I drive 40 miles from my house to Corsicana just for Phyllis from the service department to turn me away telling me that I never purchased a maintenance plan from them. I asked her to check and she smirked at me and turned me away, saying that I hadn't purchased anything even tho I told her I bought the plan when I bought the car only a few months before. I left, giving them the benefit of the doubt, and feeling kinda dumb thinking maybe I didn't purchase the plan, or so I thought. So I go and buy a whole separate plan from Mopar...$245 for 4 oil changes. so now I've spent a total of $1745 just to get a simple oil change. It seems like they have no trouble selling you a warranty but do anything in their power to give you the run around when you try to use them. I called today and w the exact same information I gave Phyllis, and they were able to find my plan IMMEDIATELY and said that I in fact did buy a plan from them. I told them I had already purchased another plan from mopar and their response was " why didn't you come check with us at the front?" That's what really threw me off. Isnt that Phyllis job ???!! Doesnt she get paid to know these things ???! I'm a paying customer (around 60k for my car) and I paid extra to make sure my car would be taken care of and it seems like every time I try to take advantage of these pricey warranties they always try to find a way around it. Never will I recommend anyone go to this dealership and especially DO NOT BUY ANY WARRANTIES FROM THESE PEOPLE. THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEM. This dealership is a godsend! My Grandmother, Kathy, originally bought her car from another dealership that was a nightmare through and through. We knew her vehicle needed some repairs from how it was driving but after being told 3 times by the dealership that she purchased it from that there was nothing wrong with it, she didn't know what to do since obviously that dealership had zero integrity. Luckily she was referred to Toliver Dodge in Corsicana and words cannot express how amazing the experience was. Her service advisor, Jon Peeler, listened to her very intently and assured her that her concerns would be addressed with the utmost care and boy did they ever! She only had a few weeks left on her power train warranty which worried her but not after Jon and the mechanics got ahold of her vehicle. They completely rebuilt the transmission and fixed her oil pan leak along with some other needed repairs in record time and assured her that they were here to help if anything else should arise. It's sad that the dealership she originally purchased her "certified pre-owned" from would try and take advantage of an old woman like that but thankfully Toliver Dodge, Jon and his team came along and sent her into the Holidays with renewed spirit. Now Yelp...y'all know I'm BIG on customer service and when the customer service sucks....E'ERYBODY is going to hear about it from me. So, on 9/6 I brought my car here for an oil change, as when I purchased the vehicle from here 2 years ago, they included so many free oil changes in with the purchase. Score! On 9/7, as I'm driving down the highway, my tires crossed that portion in a construction area where the sound of the tires on the road change & like 7 lights came on & all these warnings came on. Luckily, I was right at an exit and pulled off & into a parking lot. I contacted my roadside assistance team to have my car towed to my apt & was just without until Monday. I checked the engine for oil & I didn't see any oil and there was very little on the dipstick. Monday morning I contacted the dealership to let them know what the vehicle was doing and also stated I didn't think there was oil in the car. Jessica informed me to have the vehicle towed back down there & allow them to look at it to get it fixed. Now I had already made arrangements with my roadside assistance team to have the vehicle towed to a dealership in Irving, as this was within my mileage coverage for my plan. The tow truck arrived around 10am, loaded up my vehicle...Jessica called me back & was insistent on me bringing the car back there, I advised her of my coverage and who was going to pay these overages. She went to her service manager (Jerry Henderson) and got a cc to make payment for the tow, however, the tow company I was with, didn't work with dealerships as far as payments of overages. I stated, I'll pay the overages, but you guys will have to reimburse me when I get there. Jessica then told me "have them drop your vehicle and we will send a tow truck to get you"....Y'all this was about a 70 mile tow!! I was like already pissed off because of the whole broken down vehicle, keep in mind I'm clearly not at work and had I stuck with my original plan & towed to Irving & then let the dealerships work it out...I woulda been good. The tow truck dropped my vehicle & about 2.5 hours later, another tow truck came. We loaded up & headed to Corsicana. Got there...Jerry grabbed a rag & showed to me there was oil in the car. The tow truck driver explained as far as this particular engine, the oil sat below & wasn't visible. Ok...fine! Now when you told me to drop my car off the 1st tow truck...you didn't say we'll tow your vehicle only if there's no oil in it...you said we will take care of your tow for your vehicle. Toliver is now Brinson, but whomever you are...you reneged on your word to your customer and I had to pay this $260 tow bill. Y'all I was LIVID!! Come to find out the issue was due to the speed sensor and the company that had just done my brakes/rotors the same day of the oil change....footed that bill for the repairs!! But as for Toliver/Brinson....y'all can keep those free oil changes and anything else...cause on EVERYTHING...I will NOT be back to this janky azz dealership!!! read more

I want to state that the sales person and the GM were extremely nice and empathetic and helpful. Once you get above that where decision are made with Chet Brinson the owner it was a nightmare. I purchased a car for my 16 year old. Main concern was Clean CARFAX and no smoke. Nobody wants a wrecked car. Car was delivered and there was a problem with the back end of the car. After a lot of back and forth dealership tried to rectify the situation and put a new rear end in the car. I asked again has this car been hit it sure seems like it. Slowly after 6 mo of ownership the car is loose and the back end is creaking and I decided I wanted to trade the car in. 3 dealerships in a row said this car was involved in 2 accidents. TWO accidents???! Wow,all of these dealers didnt want my trade and so I reached back out to Brinson. GM was empathetic and said he would do what he could to help. The key point he was nice. I ended up talking to Chet the owner and I said Im stuck. You will buy my car for low wholesale but I cant afford anything on your lot. Nothing. It pigeon holes me to a Jeep/Ram/Dodge and those vehicles do not work and now im sitting in a big negative due to COVID-19 and the used market tanking, Plus owning a car for only 5 months. The part that made me the most angry was the accusatory tone of Chet, his personality was brash and rude the second he got on the phone. He told me people drive wrecked cars that are fixed all the time. I said not me. I believe they are never right again. If people liked wrecked cars then all these dealers would want my car and CARFAX wouldnt be around. I also said I purchased this car because it didnt have wrecks and that was key for me. Brinson Auto uses Autocheck vs Carfax. If you buy a car with them, make sure you pay 27.00 and get the carfax as well to see if they match. Autocheck is not the same thing and not as current or widely used as Carfax. I was hung up on and told to leave his staff alone. I have been professional and courteous and even given praise where it was merited. I would NEVER buy a car with Brinson Auto group due to the owner Chet Brinson. Worst ever conversation I have had with a dealer in 28 years of buying a lot of vehicles. Take your money elsewhere. Terrible Terrible Terrible! read more

On June 3rd I took my truck in for an ABS service light that needed attention. They reset the computer (after a week in their shop) as soon as I drove it off the lot, the light came back on and we took it right back. It was determined that a part had to be replaced. As of today July 10th, I have no truck, no loaner and have been given the run around. I have called other places and they have the part in stock but this dealership can't get one. In the past we always purchased Chevy's until we had issues with their service department. Since then I have purchased 6 Ram trucks for my business in the last 2 years. I may have to consider an alternative if this is the service you get with Ram. read more

I Purchased a 7 yr old F250 with ONLY a little over 27k miles from them this past Friday evening. After driving it home that night all appeared fine..., but then the next morning I went to a local store to purchase a new hitch for my new (to me) truck and when I come out and try to start it up it will not crank at all. Took batteries out to get tested, and both good. Less than 12 hours of ownership, and a dead truck. While cleaning it up a little more the morning before it died, I found a literal mouse nest from chewed up paper towels under the back seat, and mouse droppings in multiple areas under the front passenger seat. Not things you would easily notice when test driving a vehicle. My concern is possibly having chewed wires in this vehicle. Sales Mgr can not make a decision on whether they care enough to even take a look at it, and now 3 business days into it their General Mgr apparently can't either. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS AFTER THE SALES CONTRACT IS SIGNED!!! Be Very Careful IF you decide to consider dealing with used vehicles from Brinson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, and quite possibly any of the Brinson Auto Group! The truck still sets in my driveway and will not crank. They provided me with a rental to drive while I waited on my car to be fix and that's great the service dept has them so they don't leave you without a vehicle to drive like other dealerships. I went in for a 1.5 hour repair. 6 hours later it was ready. Parts were replaced that weren't needed (and priced at twice retail), the "test drive" after the repair must have been at a race track judging the the items thrown around inside, and the service people were evasive about every question I asked. When my truck wouldn't start, I walked over to the Ford dealer, waited about 15 minutes and was told that they could not look at my truck for three days... Went next door to Berry Dodge, really hoping for a miracle as I was far from home. I was immediately taken to the service manager, who brought one of his coworkers out to look at my truck. Apparently I had a bad solenoid, and all it took to start the truck was a jump over the starter relay with a screwdriver. These guys saved me a tow and a day's work and wouldn't even take a tip. Brought my 2008 Chrysler Town and Country in for water leak. Had one freeze plug replaced about a month earlier in Brownwood, TX. Was told ALL freeze plugs needed to be replaced at a cost of over $2000. When I contacted Chrysler Corp I was told the reason for all the freeze plugs being corroded was "environmental." I raised a fuss about that evaluations and was told that if the dealer where I had my vehicle could confirm that there was a faulty part Corp would "work out something" with me on the replacement. The Berry Chrysler shop would not do anything to help me with the issue. I have NEVER heard of a vehicle having this problem. I argue that Chrysler has used the wrong metal in their freeze plugs and thus the problem. I was told it was due to the fact that I did not flush and replace the cooling system fluid in my vehicle. I HAVE NEVER FLUSHED AND REPLACED FLUIDS. Hog wash! My Dad was a full time mechanic, so I know something about warranty and such from my Dad's shop. I KNOW that Berry could have helped, but did not want to. Makes me think that people in Corsicana whom I have talked to about this shop are probably right - they do not care about their customers. I can tell you they did not care about his customer. As a result this third generation Dodge, Chrysler drive will not purchase another Dodge or Chrysler vehicle. I should have bailed out on this corp when they did their established dealers like they did during the "buy out." If they do not care about their dealers who make their company, why should they care about their buying customers once they have their money. I ordered a part from them and they shipped it FedEx. The Part came in rewrapped from FedEx and had been damaged during shipment. I spoke with Ashley in parts who was extremely helpful and sent me out a replacement part overnight and took care of the FedEx claim. This dealership knows NOTHING about the concept of "service" in their service bay. They argue and demean you with issues presented. The salesman that I had was excellent--( no longer there). The contract was written and the Credit insurance was sent incorrectly with wrong amount to the Insurance company. It took 2 1/2 months to get license because "person was on vacation" Any time there is aquestion about service, etc---excuses, blaming others, run around....My Advice---spend gas and time and go up the road! read more

If I could give them a 0 star I would. The salesman (Jim W, yes the Jim below) that was working with my husband and I lied to us. He promised us that he would not run our credit to more then 2 banks. Well needless to say, my husbands credit went from a 645 down to a 497 in about two days and still could not get us into a new or used car. They will sugar coat things to make it sound better then it is. Yet it gets better, get this, my husband took his truck down to get the new clickers programmed so we would have more then just one. He has had that truck for 4-5 years now with no problem other then the tranny going out. when he left the key-less entry worked, as well as when he got there. even though they did not do there job they still charged us for not doing what we paid them to do, that is not right. When he got home he noticed that the clicker did not work so he called them to see if they would be willing to fix there mess up at no charge. When my husband got there and waited in line for about 45 mins then they told him that they will have to charge and it will be another 30 mins. After asking the service guy, he claims that he has no knowledge of that and that they cant just give out free service to everyone. read more

I recently visited this dealership to purchase a Dodge 2500 Tradesman. I arrived and started the process that started off with a vehicle evaluation. I have a 2007 Ford F-150 XLT with 130,000/miles that is in excellent condition. I was presented with an offer of $4,500.00 which I questioned how they came about the evaluation because I have a friend that pulled the actual auction value which was a wholesale rough value of $8,000.00. Perry Rueter, who did the evaluation came out and said he appraised the vehicle that price because of the mileage and he would be lucky to get $4,500.00. So after having him show me the actual auction sheet they finally came up to $8,000.00 because he knew he had been caught because the numbers don't lie. He then started getting angry but said he was going to go run some numbers. He ran my credit through 8 different banks after I told him I only wanted to be submitted to his two best banks. So he came back and showed me the payment sheet and I questioned the 8% interest rate which was a rate that was from a sub-prime lender which my credit does not require a sub-prime lender since my other vehicles are at 0.0% or 2.9%. After I questioned the rate he jerked the paper up and said "f*** it, we are not going to be making a deal". I asked him "excuse me, what did you say" he told me "We are not going to be making a deal, i'm getting you $8,000.00 for your piece of shit". I told him he would not be talking to me or about my property like that. He said "if you don't like what I have to say then go find another sucker that will give you $8,000.00 for that piece of shit". I told him I was going to be talking to his manager and he proceeded to raise his voice even higher and told me to get out, just get the fuck out and don't come back". I started walking towards the door as he continued to scream the same message again following me out the door and screaming even louder. I made several phone called to Brian Toliver whom has not called me back to address this issue. I assume he allows his staff to speak to customers like this and feels all of customers should be treated this way. read more
