First time here yesterday! Finally, someone cares about the consumers wallet! Its a tiny place, but clean! The ladies were very nice to all the costumers! Not the usual place where you feel bees talking around you as they try to communicate to you instead amongst each other in their own language! Janet was so nice to say, "i dont expect my work to come off in 2-3 weeks time, you dont have to fill it in unless you want to or needed"! I used to come for the occasional pedicure and was always happy, but for the last few months I've been getting dip powder manicures with Maria and I love it! My nails last for about 3 weeks and they look fantastic! I love this nail salon! All the technicians are very nice and accommodating. This nail salon is the best salon I have ever been to! The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home. They offer coffee, tea, water, and etc for free. I had a pedicure that was very relaxing and one of the best I have ever had. The staff is very gentle with your feet. The massage chair feels so good and I almost fell asleep! They have a variety of colors to chose from including gel, regular, and powders. I have also seen that it is very sanitary at this salon by washing everything after use and so on. Very disappointed Janet is rude and is very rough with your nails . I had a specific shape before my fill in with her and she told she didn't know how to do that shape that it didn't look rite anyway to change the shape but that was before she was complaining to her daughter this Is also just as rude as she is , that she is upset they moved my appointment because I was a little early . Worst customer service ever. Made an appointment for a manicure and pedicure in advance. When I got there they had scheduled it for another day. Normally I wouldn't care but I specifically made the drive to the area since it got good reviews. Didn't seem apologetic at all and just began whiting out my name in the scheduling book as I was standing there. It's a shame since it got such great reviews on yelp. Make sure you confirm a million times when you make your appointment because the girl making the appointment doesn't seem to understand scheduling very well! Ending up walking two doors down to another nail salon (there's a few on the same road) and they squeezed me in although they were packed as well. Won't be returning and just some advice - have someone new do your scheduling! read more

I have been going to Brisa's for the past 2 months and couldn't be happier with the service! I will say that Janet, the woman who sits closest to the door, is rude. I usually do just a plain color gel, but I've recently switched to powder as it keeps my nails good for 3 weeks. I like them VERY SHORT, and Janet told me that would 'be ugly' and 'there's no point in having a tip then'. I made my appointment for anyone but Janet now (Pang is amazing!) and I'll be trying a pedicure this week. Best nail salon in Edison! They do really great manicures and pedicures. They make sure that they cut the cuticles (unless you ask them not to). With the pedicures they massage your legs too and they are on the longer side (again they can do it quicker if you ask). Another pro is that the customer service is great! They make sure that you have a good time there. The owners Maria and Joe are super friendly; they always ask if you want a drink, tea or coffee. I moved to Edison recently and have been searching for a nail salon. After trying a few in the area Brisa's nail salon is definitely the best I've been to. Their prices are reasonable and their work is outstanding. My regular pedicure included callus remover and hot stones. I have received a mini spa pedicure before which also included a scented scrub, mask, and lotion of your choice. All the nail technicians are wonderful and very helpful and polite to their customers often asking you several time if they can get you water or coffee. They also have a wide selection of color matched gel and regular nail polish and get new colors in for each season. Since they are a small nail salon, it can sometimes be difficult to walk-in. This place was recommended to me by my hairdresser and decided to try it about 2 months ago. I had a gel manicure, basic pedicure, full leg and eyebrow wax. I spent about $150 for everything including tips. The services were pretty basic to me, nothing special. The atmosphere was kind of loud and if you're looking to relax and have a quiet time, this place is not it. It is true that the place has a friendly vibe to it and they make you feel like you're part of the group so if you like to socialize and chat while getting your nails done, then this is perfect as everyone seems very nice and friendly. My gel manicure started to chip after only five days which never happened before from other nail salons. I think it's more the quality of the nail polish than the nail technician's skill as she seemed to be very meticulous. Pedicure lasted as normal, about two weeks. Would I return here again? Probably not. Only because I can get the same services somewhere else for a fraction of the cost. If their prices are more competitive, maybe I'll go back. All in all, not a terrible experience. read more

This place isn't a good choice. I purchased a Groupon for three gel manicures. The second one I used I was told only Stephanie can do and she was off. The owner refused to honor my Groupon So I had to pay $30 for the gel manicure when I found 3 gel manicures for $28 on Groupon! I have two small children so I made child care arrangements to go on a certain day. I drove from Union to go to Edison to get this done. They had rescheduled my appointment with someone else without telling me. Today I went to get my third gel manicure and had a 5pm appointment. I wasn't seen my Stephanie until 5:45 p.m. I asked if she could do a pedicure and the lady Janeth who sits next to her said no which is rude but I wasn't even asking her. I will never recommend this place nor will I return again. I missed my Zumba class today because they took me 45 minutes late. I am very disappointed and frustrated. I was a 1st time customer here in November 11/22 to be exact. I called about an hour in advance and they were able to get me and my 4yr old daughter in for a pedicure! We were visiting from Chicago. Janet was amazing with my pedicure and Maria was extremely gentle and interactive with my little girl. She had a great time with the whole staff! They got a good picture of my daughter getting her first pedicure. Thank you ladies. But not only that- they were able to book us the next morning for a manicure. One word- Wow! What a wonderful experience! Brisa's nail salon was by far the best nail salon I've ever been to! They did a great job with my nails- I got gels and I absolutely love them. They spent quite some time on my nails and did a perfect job, I'm in love and I cannot stop staring at my nails :) The owners were such lovely people. I was visiting from Chicago- and right from the start when I called to make an appointment until I was all done, everything they did for me was above and beyond! They did not have any availability, but since I needed to have my nails done, they were able to have one of their girls stay late to squeeze me in. The owner Joe also helped with getting me really good directions to the salon, when I got there- he was waiting outside :) They were kind enough to accommodate my luggage, charge my dying phone and offer me water/coffee etc multiple times to make me comfortable. We talked the entire time, everyone working there seemed very close and friendly- it was a very good working atmosphere and made me feel at home. I also noticed they were exceptionally nice to all the other customers too, everyone seemed to love Joe, Maria and all their girls. Joe and Maria treat their employees with a lot of love and respect, happy employees = happy customers! After my nails were all done, I was about to call an uber to get a ride to where I was staying- but to my surprise Maria and Joe offered to drop me off! They drove me 20 minutes out of their way to get me home safe! I was so impressed and so humbled by their kindness. Such noble and kind people are very hard to find. They also offered me a lot of good advice and tips on my plans in NJ/NY- I felt like I was with family. I wish their salon was in Chicago, man I'd be there all the time!! If it was up to me, I'd send everyone to Brisa's- Joe and Maria deserve it! When I come back to NJ, I'm definitely stopping here and I'd recommend the same for everyone. The girls I always go to, Jenny always takes good care of me and she also did a fantastic nails design for my manicure. They tear you really well here and have many colors to choose from. So I went twice to this nail salon and my first visit received a very enjoyable pedicure from Pang. She was wonderful. I wanted a manicure and they put this young girl who did it and seemed less then pleased to do well " her job " her mother Janet also works their and I'm assuming that's how she got her job not because she knows what she's doing. Any how she can't paint nails for her life and also has an attitude. I made an appointment only to get my nails painted. Not another manicure. Just painted. I had her mother Janet now I know where that bad apple came from. Her mother also did a piss poor job and blamed it on my nail polish. Which they also carry that collection but it's just my nail polish that made it an awful paint job. So their was one nail that the mother kept screwing up and when I was finished drying it looked awful. So she needed to redo it and said she can't at the moment because she was with another client and she can't leave her. Umm I also paid for my service and she made me pay before she even started. So guess who did my re painting of my nail. Her daughter well needless to say she was really not happy about it and was telling me how my nail polish is "yucky" because she's a little girl who thinks that talking like that is professional. Ive been happily going to Brisas for about 8 months, and I'm very pleased. The service is wonderful , the stone massage pedicure is awesome and I've had great technicians. I try to make appointments but sometimes I just stop in so I've met with almost everyone! Recently I started scheduling my appointments with Jennifer and she's been helping me with great color choices and nail care 101!! I love how she shapes & finishes my nails. I'm very rough on my hands and they've held up very well! Sarah, Sue Lisa and Maria have also done my fills and pedicures beautifully. It's very clean, organized and everything is sanitized. I never feel rushed or that they are trying to squeeze the next person in, like at some other places... always relaxed. From coffee & tea to neck and leg massages it's very spa-like!!! Sometimes I bring my daughter and she picks out crazy nail polish colors and gets 2 nails with designs for $7 - so great for a mommy and me treat!!! read more
