So we contacted Brisbane Bicycle Tours and booked a 2-hour Brisbane river tour for our group of nine. The payment process was seamless, the communication was excellent, Steve and Fiona were flexible to our tight schedule, and everything was on track for an amazing day... until we checked the weather report. Rain. Lighting. Strong winds. What the heck, Brisbane! Steve gave me a call a few days before our ride and let me know they were willing to be very flexible on time and day based on the weather, but unfortunately our group's schedule was so tight, we only had this small window of riding opportunity. So we both did our respective rain dance and promised to play it by ear the day of. The morning of our tour my phone rang - Steve let me know that while they'd be happy to ride in the rain, he wanted us to have a great time, and riding along the river with the uninvited company of rain and lighting miiiiiiight not be everyone's cup of tea. And just like that, without any dramas at all, he refunded our entire amount. His exact words were: "we say on our website that we're not responsible for cancellations due to bad weather, but honestly, you're not responsible for the weather either!" His kindness and communication throughout the process blew me away. You know a business is doing something right when your expected service is ruined and you still leave having a 5-star experience. Now I'm just itching to come back and go on that ride!

But when you combine the fun of riding a Segway ,over 20km of one of the most scenic bike trails in the world, and a fantastic tour guide you get one of the best values in the tour business :) kevin was a great guide and instructor on the Segway- he when above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and were safe on the segways. Riding through the zig-zagging wooden bridges overlooking Roma street parklands was an unexpected highlight of the tour! We'll be back with our friends and family soon!

The tour kicked off at the base of the mall, and we visited Kerri Craig Emporium for some finger sandwiches and scones; Le Bon Choix (Edward St) for some cake and a macaron; and finally finished up at John Mills Himself for a glass of sparkling wine and honeycomb. The tour was well paced, and we had plenty of time at each stop to enjoy a component of High Tea. My tour had only 5 guests, which was a nice small number and meant we got to have some good conversation over each of the stops. Whilst the tour was enjoyable, it's not the best food walking tour I've done (and I've tried various in different countries). Having said that, I'd be keen to try another of their tours - especially in other cities where I'm not so familiar with the different stops.

Head brewers or the owner or both spoke to us or at the very least came and introduced themselves and availed themsleves for any question we might have about their brews at every location. I could only drop by at late hours (past 5pm) after work, which was when Student Flights was also set to close, and Jamaal was willing to stay back past closing hours until everything was booked. I even caught him stepping out once for lunch and he stayed back even though I insisted he go grab something to eat! This place can get very packed at certain hours, particularly during lunch breaks, Friday nights, and weekends. So be sure to pop in early on a week day if you don't want to be waiting around, unless you like reading masses of travel brochures. But all up I've never had such great service from a travel agency before. I'm definitely going back for the next trip I book.

She was AMAZING!…read more She took the time to make sure we had exactly what we wanted for a trip to Port Douglas and asked us to come back to her for any feedback we had, which we did. Overall, we had a lovely experience in Port Douglas with only a few things that were, well, awful. She immediately looked into getting those items if not fixed, at least removed from their listings. She was incredible and we highly recommend her!
