Bristol west does claims for multiple complies like freeway insurance & 21st century. If they are the ones helping you I would find another company and cancel Bristol west. I am out of the country and can't text more that 1-5 words or the text will not send. I have asked the claims rep Emmanuel Vargas for his email over 7 times now and instead he keeps telling me to text him and I cannot. Each text I am force pushing through is costing me $1. I had to email a friend in the states to text him that I could not provide the information needed because since I am out of the country I don't have access to the website. I don't want to have to give my friend sensitive information to text through to Emmanuel for me. If he just gave me an email I could accomplish everything that needed to be done. Instead he continues to ignore the request and tells me that he is going to close my claim because he doesn't have all the information. Just give me a damn email and I can get it down. WTF. Bristol West is the absolute worst insurance company I have ever had to deal with. Refused to cancel my policy through my agent, made me call in to cancel, once I called in they put me on a long hold just to send me an email that I had to respond to. Once I responded to the email my policy should be cancelled but they would still proceed to draft my account for $1884.14 the very next day, when I asked to speak to the supervisor I was put on hold until the business closed. I recently was put under a plan with bristol west under my parents with my previous car. I bought a new car in September and it recently was slightly wrecked about a month ago. I filed the claim the day of and they kept making excuses until we got the evidence all good about two and a half weeks later. On the third week of my claim being open and not hearing anything from them i give them a call. When i called, they said no one had looked at the car yet and ill have to keep waiting. The very next day i call them to get no answer, until later that night. They had allegedly looked at the car within the couple hours and claimed it a total loss although it was very minor panel damage. They tell me they are going to write it as a total loss and that i will receive three thousand dollars in 1-2 days. Four days later i am yet to see my money and they constantly keep hanging up on me. I hope anyone that is currently under this insurance company runs as fast as they can away from this place and get them an insurance company that doesn't attempt to scam you. Mind you i got tboned roughly two years ago with allstate and had my money within the end of the week. Absolutely fraudulent and disgusting company. read more

I trusted this agent Joseph patschke with prestige insurance services, who represents Bristol west insurance on behalf of Farmers insurance, well thats the description of order he gave me. He started off with great quotes and how he could get insurance rates reduced, sounded good but he really did nothing. He also stated that once it 6 month policy was over he could get even lower rates for me but I had to wait until April 2025 because my policy ended in May 2025. I've called him, texted him and emailed him, I still haven't heard back from them. One of his fellow workers Tony contacted me about my bill and what my new policy price would be, 671.00 a month, wow. Still haven't heard from Joseph. He wants your business and promises a lot of things and doesn't follow through, avoid him if he contacts you and talk to another agent. I'm not impressed with Bristol west associates or what ever group he works for. They can't keep their records up to date, website never works to make online payments, terrible hold times when you call and terrible customer service. Absolute worst insurance company I've ever done business with. Constantly raising rates. Ridiculously low ball estimate on an insurance claim. Non-existent customer service. Wouldn't let me cancel my policy by calling the 800 number. Told me I had to call my (former) insurance agent to cancel, whom I couldn't get a hold of either, hence former... I can't tell you how long I was on hold with both before I finally got out from underneath this mess of a company. Worst insurance ever. My boss filed a claim. We requested a rental car. The car was approved for fixing but the contractor had to fight Bristol west for the amount. Then we had 30 days for the rental car. The contractor got half of the money and 15days later the rest of it. So the 30days for rental went fast since the contractor got paid late to get the parts ordered and installed. So car not ready and 30days for rental car came and gone. Wish I could give a 0. Terrible customer service. Raised my premium without updating me. I provided proof of prior insurance, but they state I didn't provide the proper documents, so they increased my policy by 1000 dollars. I canceled my policy because it was too damn expensive, now they won't refund me the remaining of this month's payment ($379). When my insurance was set to expire they sent me text, at that point I asked if the rates were going up because if they were, I was going to shop around they said that in fact, yes, the rate was going to go up and that they could transfer me over to farmers which would be similar to what I am paying now, but of course you have to pay the new paperwork fee for the new insurance because it's a new policy well the old insurance policy never got canceled so not only did the rates increase by more than $50 for the month but I also had to pay a $37 nonrefundable one time paperwork fee, because they thought I was going to be reinstating the policythey refused to refund me my paperwork fee. This is a subsidiary of Farmers Insurance. I first and only accident claim left me stranded out of town. I urgently needed information. In spite of promising a call back in a could hours, and DEFINITELY before the end of the day, nothing. This has cause a huge and UNNECESSARY inconvenience and stress. do not use this company as they are lying cheats. i was a new policy holder and the second month they raise my premium to $191 for 1 month. this is for liability only for two cars driven less than 5k miles per year. they rasised my premium because they said i did not have insurance for they previous years. i have had insurance but they did not bother to tell me they were raising my preium they just charged my credit card. i called the agent" leo" at 972 945 3225 and he blew me off and said "briteney" would call me. never happened. i changed companys as this company would not help me. i canceled policy with them and they are charging me $70 for 1 week of coverage. the fee is based on their misinformation that i had no insurance however i just got a notice they were chagring me $100 for the next month coverage. these people are screwed up. do not do business with them as they will rip you off. stay away from them read more
