They have taken £1700 from me and never delivered the shutters promised will not answer the phone, email, and closed the business down less than a week after we paid them and reopened the same day as 'simply blinding'. Who also dont answer the phone. They've done this to multiple people. Trading standards are aware and looking into it as well as informing companies house, that these people are taking money not delivering and opening and closing 'phoenix companies' to get away with taking cash and never repaying or delivering. Scam artists. Avoid

He resigns from several and puts Claudine Baker in as a director, here and there, I guess in an attempt to distance himself? His last one Shutters of London ended up owing thousands of pounds to people, the address has defaulted to companies house as it went bust and he hasn't filed his accounts. So now he's got away without paying any of his customers, and reactivated an dormant company called Simply Blinding, to start all over again. It's 'simply' something...and disgusting that they can keep getting away with it. You only have to search companies house with his name to see the trail of destruction. Please read reviews on all his companies to see the issues. Please note that many of his good reviews are apparently friends/family, reviewing on his behalf to improve results.

I ordered 1 blind for my tilt and turn window in August. It took a month to make a single blind…read moreand when when they installed it it was missing the ability to close the blind except to pull out a step ladder and drag it down!!! I have had 10 phone conversation and two different people come out to tell me it was silly for them to have sold me this blind and another to tell me the same and that in fact it is really too short as well. After my 10th email I finally gave up and opened a dispute with my credit card company. Obviously I won the dispute and got 1/2 my money back. AVOID these very nice but completely INCOMPETENT people.

We got plantation shutters and a rollerblind from these…read morepeople and they were really good. It was nice to go into a shop to see the samples and talk to a guy who knew his stuff. Took a while to get them, 6 weeks, but they always came on time and did a very good job. Had a quote from another company first but they were very sketchy on detail and were slightly more on price.

We order our blinds a year ago and have been sold sob story after sob story since as to why they haven't arrived This is just a warning for anyone who is thinking of using Shutters or London......simply don't! Also if anyone wants to spare their time, this company could do with some knowledge on how to communicate as they seem to have lost all ability to function!!

I wish we hadn't ignored the bad reviews…read more.. We ordered shutters back in October, understanding that there would be a 12-16 week lead time. We paid a deposit of almost £2000. We received no update and when we started chasing in March (having been somewhat distracted by having a baby in January) it took weeks before I was finally able to speak to Jamie (calling the office is unhelpful as we were just told that we had to speak to Jamie). He said there had been delays in shipping, and eventually after lots of chasing told us our shutters were on a container which would arrive in the uk on 20th May, after which he'd be in touch with a date for fitting. While disappointed by the poor communication we were looking forward to finally getting our shutters 6 months later. Since then, despite numerous attempts to contact them we have had complete radio silence. I can only assume that our shutters are not here, were never ordered or that the whole operation is a scam. Either way, despite being extremely reasonable and patient people, we've been left no option but to charge back the transaction to get our £2000 back. I am astounded that a small business like this cares so little about their reputation that they treat their customers this way. We saw some similar reviews to this when we were deciding which company to go with, but disregarded them due to so many other positive ones. I'd urge you not to make the same mistake and choose another company.
