This is 'Shutters of London' run by the same people Jamie Anderson and Claudia Baker (See companies house). They have taken £1700 from me and never delivered the shutters promised will not answer the phone, email, and closed the business down less than a week after we paid them and reopened the same day as 'simply blinding'. Who also dont answer the phone. They've done this to multiple people. Trading standards are aware and looking into it as well as informing companies house, that these people are taking money not delivering and opening and closing 'phoenix companies' to get away with taking cash and never repaying or delivering. Scam...do NOT use He (Jamie Anderson) seems to set up a new company, or reactivate an old/dormant company, every few years...when 1 of them go bust! He resigns from several and puts Claudine Baker in as a director, here and there, I guess in an attempt to distance himself? His last one Shutters of London ended up owing thousands of pounds to people, the address has defaulted to companies house as it went bust and he hasn't filed his accounts. So now he's got away without paying any of his customers, and reactivated an dormant company called Simply Blinding, to start all over again. It's 'simply' something...and disgusting that they can keep getting away with it. You only have to search companies house with his name to see the trail of destruction. Please read reviews on all his companies to see the issues. Please note that many of his good reviews are apparently friends/family, reviewing on his behalf to improve results. read more

This is the new name for Shutters of London (please check the reviews too) They have taken money off of so many people including myself and not provided any goods, completely ignore their customers and block you on Facebook if you try to get in contact. Avoid at all costs. read more

This small company started in 1999 by Clive is now a well established blinds expert in the Hove and Shoreham areas. Clive tells me that 70% of their revenue comes from customers using them again so this must highlight their competency. This company doesn't really have opening hours as you call to arrange a free!! quote and therefore you can call during normal business hours and early evenings. They have blinds for any occasion and also do awnings and canopies so anyway to keep the light out pretty much. Does make me wonder if they have issues with sun light, not implying anything here.... However, if they ask to do the work in the evening when it's dark let them do it because they are awesome but don't get too close! read more

Called them to ask them to come and fix as per warranty but instead they blamed our (newly built) walls! Would rate in minus if that was possible. Run by the same people at Shutters of London who scammed me in Summer and then ran away. Got a call from Jamie this afternoon saying we ran into some financial trouble but running away and then asked for remainder of the payment to be made to a "supplier" to get the shutters installed! Blimey. I said hell no until the shutters are installed, you are not taking any money of me. He said, you will have to wait 2 more weeks what will be the 24th week since I placed the order. Steer clear of his acts. Still trying to get more money out of his victims. I have already filed a claim with HM Justice to get my deposit back. @Jamie, if you have the time to read this, I will be happy to change the feedback if you deliver on your promise this time. I bet not. read more

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Jamie Anderson and Claudine Baker are playing musical chairs between SHUTTERS OF LONDON and what was a dormant company, SIMPLY BLINDING. They're seeking to get Shutters of London struck off Companies House. If you are owed money, please register and object. Guess Jamie will take the "hit" and the pair will continue running their scam via Simply Blinding under the directorship of Claudine Baker. They're getting the sham website and Facebook page ready right now. No wonder Jamie is too busy to speak to any of us he's already scammed. We must not let them get away with this and must take every opportunity to trash both companies and both scam artists. There's far more of us and only two of them. We can do this. read more

The shutters of London scam artist owners have taken over this company, after stealing a lot of people's deposits & closing down the business! Took my mother in-laws £900 deposit & then gave multiple excuses to why they weren't delivered on time. Then stopped altogether. Please don't go anywhere near this company Jaime & his partner will rip you off. See all the Facebook/online reviews of what they have done to people! a quick check on the government website will show you they have been doing this for years over at least 6 companies. read more

For everyone scammed by Shutters of London. Jamie & Claudine are serial liquidators, and will use a new Ltd identity to continue their scam. Unfortunately for this time, we managed to file a claim on time when they released the struck-off Gazette, and the liquidation has stopped for now. PLEASE FILE A CLAIM, THEY MUST APPEAR IN COURT. WE WILL GET OUT MONEY BACK THIS TIME. read more

This is now run by the same people who ran Shutters of London, who have taken £1,550 of ours and then shut the business down, with no interest of supplying them.They also owe £1,000's to other people. You won't see the reviews of how bad it got because they closed it down but I'd think again about using them. read more

Sister company of Shutters of London ltd Pretty certain the same pattern will emerge and they will happily take your deposits but not provide the goods and then not refund your deposit.... Steer well clear! read more
