I shop here regularly and truly enjoy the experience. The Village Store is part of our quaint Main Street area not to be overlooked. You can shop for housewares, local foods, boutique clothing and jewelry, toys, Lake Life and Lake Norman local gifty items, like tshirts, pillows, tea towels, etc. There is so much to look at here, and trust me, you will find something you love! The staff there is very friendly and the store is so well stocked. The prices are very fair compared to other boutique style stores, but I'd say the Village Store has the biggest selection of home and gift items in the Lake area. They have begun putting out their fall decor, and they really have some beautiful displays during the Christmas season. I really enjoy shopping here.

The day I trotted in Lavendar, the nice employee informed me that they were having a 30% sale on all denim. Scooooooore! One of the best sets of knifes I have ever bought. They have been professionally sharpened several time but the gentleman who provided that service has retired. My wife found these guys and took the knifes in and they did a great job. I had mentioned to her that Henkel Knives come with a lifetime guarantee. One of the standard knifes had a broken tip and when she showed it to them, they confirmed the guarantee and sent the old one off to Henkel so that a replacement could be sent. Somehow the first one got lost in shipping so they had to ship a second time which added to the time but today I picked up the new knife. Profuse apologies about something out of their control but in the end, they ended up with a happy customer.

The Hydrangea plant i ordered arrived on March 19th. Pic my sis sent me didn't look great; stems were sparse, like some had been cut out...there was string around all the stems and ribbon was sad looking. I did not say anything because she was happy. I visited 16 days later, and saw it...it was totally dead...every part of it. My sister said she watered it. Roots were all over the dirt...but i'd never see a plant so D-E-A-D. I chose not to make a fuss when visiting and today, my first day back i lodged a complaint. I attempted to get either a new plant sent or reimbursed. I spoke w/McKenzie (not the owner) but got a call back from some gal (Owner?) who said she could neither reimburse or replace because of their policy. Apparently, one has 24 hrs. from order/arrival to complain or eat it. So, yeah, choose another florist.
