I typically do not just hand out 5 star reviews but I cannot short Blooming Barn of any credit. They did fantastic for my Mother's day selection! I called on Thursday the 11th of May and spoke with the nicest lady I have encountered as far as my customer service career in Maine. I'm so saddened that I did not catch her name but she was so welcoming just via phone call. From beginning to end she carried a pleasant tone, was extremely patient with me as I called from work and informed me of all my possible options which is what I consider above and beyond in any type of customer service. I wanted a floral arrangement to represent me and my three other siblings and she was more than willing to communicate different ideas with me and even let me suggest a price point preferred. I explained to her how I live in Hawai'i and she understood the 6 hour time difference and did not rush me to decide. She let me know that they do same day delivery so if worst case scenario happened I would not have to worry. She also pointed out that they DO in fact have a website and I could also order delivery from in case I was unable to reach them in time. I received my order confirmation right away and the price was absolutely reasonable for the beautiful arrangement my mother received that following Saturday. I am so pleased and would highly recommend this florist for anyone with family living in Maine for any type of occasion. I made him stand outside of the bathroom door as I showered. I was unable to stand up in the shower fully and I am only 5'6". My boyfriend took a walk on the property and looked in one of the buildings set up like a little antique gallery and found a man sleeping on a mattress. It is suggested that you wear wool instead of turning up the thermostat in your room. You can hear every little noise happening throughout the house at night. There was a box fan that was provided that we used to make white noise, but it was still difficult to sleep. We walked through the kitchen in the morning (where her animals are eating and hanging out) and found it to be pretty dirty. I was chastised for not filling out my breakfast form correctly. We left as soon as we could. Our entire stay was extremely uncomfortable and honestly I feel it's my duty to warn others, so I am writing this review at the risk of a rude response. It is very possible we were not the right "fit" for this kind of place, but I have stayed at other B&Bs without these kinds of issues. One positive is that they are dog-friendly, which was one of the main reasons we chose it.

This Inn was recommended to me by a friend who'd held her wedding there this past September and raved about it. I'd highly recommend this inn to anyone who is looking for a stay of any length in the area!! Pros: -Lisa, the innkeeper, is very nice and professional and always willing to help. -Breakfasts were amazing and there were many choices. -Great view out of the eating area. -Location: close to little town with shopping, gas station, ski-shop outlet, Sugarloaf, Saddleback -Our room was very comfortable: the bed, the room itself, the bathroom, pillows/blankets, etc. -Rooms are newly renovated, it seemed. -Great hot water. -Quiet and peaceful sitting area for guests. -Friendly doggies. -Helen the hen greets you in the mornings. Cons: -Doggies, while friendly, can be a little rambunctious - for those who love dogs, like us, we didn't mind a bit, but for those who might not enjoy dogs, this might be frustrating. -We got back to the Inn on Christmas Eve night (between 10pm and 10:30pm, I'd say), the door for the Inn stayers was locked...I don't think there was a curfew so I'm not sure why it was locked. We went in through another front door that was luckily unlocked. I'm not sure what we would have done without being able to get in. -The bedrooms had a slight smell of animals. It wasn't so bad, but given my fiance's severe cat allergy, this did make his nose stuffy on night #1.

We only stayed one night while passing through town, but I would stay for a longer stay if I were going to the area for sure. They have a pool and activities to do in the yard behind the motel, fire pit, cornhole set up, grills to use if wanted. On a main road but traffic noise was non existent in our room. Our room had a small refrigerator with freezer and a microwave oven. We had a small bathroom with a tub/shower combo. There was a vanity with double sinks, which was a nice surprise. We had two queen beds in our room that were fairly comfortable. Unfortunately, we could not say the same for the flat pillows. The motel does have an outdoor pool which we didn't have time to enjoy. We do wish they offered coffee service in the morning, but they don't. There is a gas station next door that sells coffee and grocery basics. Overall, the quality was more than we expected for a rural motel.

I've stayed at this hotel many times over the years with my kids as a little local mini vacation…read more Went to book a room for our annual mini vacation and was told I have been banned. Supposedly because, as they said, I left a lot of trash in the room. I had a small family birthday party for my son and cleaned up the room, even bringing my own trash bags to do so. I was puzzled & assumed it was a mistake so I reached out to management and received an email back saying that I had taken advantage of their no locals policy. Apparently they don't rent rooms to locals, but bent the rules for me, unbeknownst to me. No one EVER told me that this was a policy. If it was a policy, to not rent locals, then why in the world would they have rented to me? The whole situation is just bizarre. I've spent a lot of money at this hotel over the years and this is the thanks I get. So if you're local I guess you're not allowed to stay at this hotel, but they probably won't tell you that and may rent to you anyway. ?? Warning to locals- you're not allowed here, or maybe you are, or maybe sometimes? Great management. Thanks Fireside. Very nice. I cleaned that room thoroughly when I left, as I always do. If you're local they'll turn on you I guess. I'm still just stunned by this. I never had any issues in all the years I've stayed here, ever. I spoke to the head of housekeeping (Eric Carpenter) who assured me this would be dealt with.. He offered to give me an upgraded room for the rest of the year, 2025, anytime I came by with assured DEEP cleanliness to it & was also assured this would be noted in my profile whenever I personally made a reservation.. Which was a lie. The past 2/3 times I have showed up to this particular hotel since this incident, there has been some sort of alleged "issue" which resulted in the front desk employees basically DOWNGRADING my room or giving me a room that has quality issues (photos will also be attached). YESTERDAY (10/2/2025) I booked online, as I always do and when I got to this hotel the front desk manager (David Connolly) told me I had been put on the "do not rent" list due to "smoking in the room" and "paint bubbling from hot water damage in the bathroom"... I am 6 months pregnant... NEED I MENTION I do not smoke nor do I ever in life need to be in BOILING water... Basically they were finding any reason to get out of owning up to what their housekeepers either left or didn't do a good enough job of cleaning up.. I am utterly upset due to the fact that nobody has done anything to accommodate or help the fact that this is happening. I have called the head manager of it all, (Katy Kelly) and haven't received a call back which is what prompted me to make this review. The photos attached is what I've been dealing with since I've booked here.. so if you have kids, do not book here, if you care about your safety, do not book here, and if you care about cleanliness and hospitality do not book here because the employees definitely lack that.
