Please have Wi-Fi, but it was so weak in my room that are only work at one end, and didn't exist in the front by the TV. The room had a mini fridge and a two burner electric stove, but it was all period: late 60s at best. The fan in the bathroom made more noise than a freight train. The pull-out sofa only pulled out once, and then could never be pushed back in. Ugh. I wish they would update the place lately, as if they did I'd have no problem paying 80 or 90 a night for this location but it would have to be 1995-vintage or butter.....

We gave them a call to be sure they're open, & they answered (both times) around midnight & one in the morning, & we're greeted pleasantly, rather than hatefully like all the others we had tried. The lobby is behind the motel, in the owner's mud room of their house, you'll see a little neon "open" sign where you enter. I found it very comforting. Our room was laid out very nicely, & uniquely unoridinary, almost like a small 1 bedroom apartment. You're actually booking a small suite. The room had all the amenities one might need. They have an old A/C unit in the bedroom, that looks like an antique from the 1800s, when we turned it on, it sounded like the unit was screaming at me. I would advise that would be replaced, in the near future.. The interior is a little outdated (panel board, older yet unique appliances) but welcoming & clean regardless. The location isn't exactly ideal, but we've been to a lot worse.

Brides need to be warned that the customer service does not match the beauty of this venue. Jenifer (venue owner) was very rude to the families of the bride and groom. She insisted upon calling a special needs child the wrong name because "that was the name written on the paper." The child understandably did not respond to a name that wasn't their own. Jennifer insisted that the Bridal and Groom parties clean up their get ready spaces before they walked down the aisle. She locks up the spaces up for the night before the ceremony and does not allow the wedding party back into the get ready spaces to freshen up or store their personal items. Jennifer did poorly in keeping the event coordinated. She contributed extreme amount of stress to the bride and groom's families throughout the event. The bride and groom were rushed out the venue before they were ready to leave, and important reception traditions were overlooked in the rush of turning the people out. The bride, standing in the driveway, exclaimed, "wait, we haven't done the speeches yet!" Jenifer was "good enough " to let the do the speeches standing in the driveway. The space was contracted by the bride and groom until 9:00 PM, but Jennifer made sure that they were out of the barn and standing in the driveway at 6:30 PM. It was APPALLING to see a couple and their loved ones treated so poorly on such an important day. I have attended two weddings at this venue (August 2020 and June 2021) and both events were strained by the demeanor of Jenifer. Brides should consider alternative options to Timber Hitch Farm. Your loved ones will be kept on pins and needles by the management and will not be able to enjoy your special day.

I had the Wonderful experience of finding The Brewster Inn when looking for a place. From my first phone call to Innkeeper Mark to make the reservation to my final good bye's on the porch of the Inn, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I felt like I was a houseguest at a friends 1800's restored mansion. Mark and Tina were so welcoming and generous with their time to give directions or suggest a good burger place. My room was small but more than adequate for my solo travel. Bed and linens were first class giving me wonderful sleep with the windows open for the fresh clean air. The afternoon get togethers and the marvelous breakfast were times for all of the guests to share stories and make friends. I'll remember the beautiful house on the hill with wonderful innkeepers on my next visit to the area.

We were too close to the elevator and the stairway. Noisy. But all rooms were taken and so we had to make do. The breakfast area ran more like a hotel. Droves of people were eating breakfast at exactly the same hour. The staff could just about keep up with the full depletion of eggs, coffee, bread, etc. There was a very slow toaster that could not get the job done. All in all, reminded me of the Gilmore Girls and their cute running of an inn.

It's not far from the Orono Bog, where you can hike (note: wear bug spray, it is a bog). We took advantage of the onsite washer/dryer to do a load of laundry after our hike. The breakfasts are included and were wonderful with lots of choices (eggs, waffles, sausage and ham, fruit and yogurt, etc.) There's not a lot to see in Bangor, so we took an hour ride to Bar Harbor for a walk and dinner. We'd definitely stay here again if we are ever in Bangor.

I called on Thursday the 11th of May and spoke with the nicest lady I have encountered as far as my customer service career in Maine. I'm so saddened that I did not catch her name but she was so welcoming just via phone call. From beginning to end she carried a pleasant tone, was extremely patient with me as I called from work and informed me of all my possible options which is what I consider above and beyond in any type of customer service. I wanted a floral arrangement to represent me and my three other siblings and she was more than willing to communicate different ideas with me and even let me suggest a price point preferred. I explained to her how I live in Hawai'i and she understood the 6 hour time difference and did not rush me to decide. She let me know that they do same day delivery so if worst case scenario happened I would not have to worry. She also pointed out that they DO in fact have a website and I could also order delivery from in case I was unable to reach them in time. I received my order confirmation right away and the price was absolutely reasonable for the beautiful arrangement my mother received that following Saturday. I am so pleased and would highly recommend this florist for anyone with family living in Maine for any type of occasion.
