I always loved the idea but when looking in the mirror, I felt so uncomfortable in my own skin. I didn't want pictures that would reflect how awful I felt. Pregnancy is HARD! I reached out to a friend who recommended Jill and I emailed her immediately. Jill responded quickly and was able to coordinate a date and time for a call to discuss options and some of my concerns. She immediately put me at ease so I decided to schedule my session. I wanted to shoot outside so weather was a concern. Jill was able to coordinate around my schedule and the crazy New England November weather. She has an amazing eye for quality. She made me feel comfortable and photogenic. I wanted my hubby in the pictures as well and she was able to capture us perfectly. We spent so much time laughing that we didn't even have a chance to feel uncomfortable. A number of years ago, Marcia photographed my infant daughter and myself. My daughter was crying…read morequite a bit in advance of the photos being taken and was still quite distressed at the time of the picture being taken because Marcia only waited a very brief time for my daughter to calm down, which she barely had. I didn't want to cancel and be out the money, knowing I wouldn't be able to afford another photo session elsewhere. Most importantly, Marcia never mentioned that rescheduling was an option, which apparently other such studios will do, if necessary (as I much later learned). The results of the photos were absolutely terrible. My daughter looks completely miserable, with sad eyes, downturned mouth, and flushed cheeks. In fact, she looks like an infant who had just been crying. And because I was a new mom and not sleeping much I had dark circles under my eyes. Marcia did not retouch the dark circles. The worst part is that what could have been a treasured photograph is one of the worst pictures we have of our daughter from this time, and one I never had framed or displayed for this reason.
