Boston Framers - Azek Timbertech MARITIME GRAY Deck

He communicated with us throughout the project of installing a new Timberteck deck. His crew worked straight on through from start to finish without empty lapses of time. The men are so highly skilled. We continue to be happy with our beautiful deck. Therefore, we asked Ruy to install a Timberteck stair rail at our front doors, which also has withstood the test of time. We'd been concerned that installments like this would compromise the brick, whereby requiring a total rebuild, but a rebuild wasn't necessary. He also advise us on an easy and effective fix to divert water from flowing from the gutter and freezing to ice on those brick steps in winter. Based on the outcome of these projects, and our experience in their progression, we highly recommend this company.

Brutal experience with them back in 2022-2024. Would take weeks and, more than once, even months…read moreto get them to come back and do any work (see screenshots of my text interactions with them -- note the dates). They were supposed to build a new rubber roof. It started leaking on 3 separate occasions (which btw was never fully fixed -- we moved on to different contractors who did address the issues). And like I said, it would take months for them to actually come back and attempt to fix anything. Often they'd come by, look at the damage, then I wouldn't hear from them for multiple weeks. Meanwhile, more damage continues to accrue to the walls and ceilings. The internal fixes they applied for the water damage were just patch jobs. They just plastered and painted over. Meanwhile, the insulation behind the wall was soaked and accrued black mold that we had to address later. Also worth pointing out a major blunder at the beginning of the project (see attached videos and pics). They opened up the roof, and left it open for multiple days without doing any work. Well of course a major rainstorm came by (which was on the weather forecast well in advance). Alll that water poured into the house in the middle of the night setting off fire alarms. It was a nightmare to deal with on my end.

Their work was excellent; they cleaned the job site well daily; and the work has held up well. Today a trim piece came loose on the (newer) front door. We panicked, as our house is on the market. I called UHE to request that someone come out to fix the door, and they sent someone over in less than an hour!! We couldn't be more pleased!! Great work, and standing by their work beyond! We highly recommend UHE!

**Absolutely unacceptable experience**…read more I would strongly caution anyone considering United Home Experts to think twice. Our windows were installed July 16-17, and more than a month later, the job is still not properly completed. We had 11 windows and a bay window installed, and we have been dealing with one problem after another. The bay window was installed incorrectly. It is not level, there is no insulation around the bottom, the shingles don't match, and the trim was not completed correctly. It has never been properly redone. We also have two bedroom windows and a bathroom window that will not stay open, missing hardware on the interior windows, and holes from the installation that were patched but never painted. The exterior work is still unfinished. Sheathing has not been installed around the windows, siding is falling away from the house and leaving areas exposed to rain, and the weather stripping has not been completed. What is perhaps most frustrating is the complete lack of follow-through. We have repeatedly been given dates for someone to return, only to have them cancel or simply not show up--and on multiple occasions, we weren't even contacted. We had to chase them down ourselves to find out what was happening. July 20 -- no-show, no call. July 22 -- crew came but left because of rain. July 29 -- no-show, no call. August 8 -- canceled. August 26 -- no-show, no call. August 27-28 -- scheduled appointments canceled. This is not buyer's remorse. This is a company leaving customers with incomplete work and unresolved installation problems while the customer continues making payments on the project. We have been patient. We have cooperated. We have made ourselves available. We have repeatedly contacted the company. At this point, our patience is gone. We have filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau because the normal process has failed to get this resolved. If you are considering hiring United Home Experts, I strongly recommend doing your homework and asking very specific questions about who will be responsible for completing the work if problems arise after installation. A company should not be judged only by how well it sells you the project. It should also be judged by how it handles the problems afterward. Based on our experience, United Home Experts has a lot of work to do on that front.
