I drove into a Huck's stop and the trailer tire hit a boulder rock. I discovered it when I pre-tripped the next morn. Needless to say I was devastated. Tires and rims are costly for a driver. I called around and was given crazy prices but I knew I had to get it fixed or face ramifications from my employer. I called Don's. When I told him what had happened, he gave me a heavenly price and I had to jump on it. Upon arrival, I met a family of men who were ready and willing to help lil ol' me. What moved me most was the owner's youngest son who had to leave but told his dad that he loved him before leaving. The respect I received and the respect the boys had for each other gave me a fuzzy feeling inside. The service itself took less than 30 minutes! Normally, it can take hours. While I was broken down last week in a parking lot (my ignition cylinder broke), I called to ask if someone could come out to help me hot wire my car as I did not have the tools in the parking lot to do it myself. While I was on the phone, the man doubted my diagnosis and tried saying it could've been from a chipped key. He further stated that in order for him to come out and "diagnose" my car and to help me start it to move to a different location, he was going to charge me $125. I didn't see the purpose in having someone come out to the parking lot to tell me a diagnosis that I already knew, and I didn't need it moved anywhere as I was in a parking lot and not on the side of the road. The man on the phone was not friendly, and he acted like I didn't know what I was talking about (I am a woman living in a man's world apparently!) He told me he would call me back in 5 minutes after he researched what would've needed to be done & he never even called me back. However, as soon as I was dropped off to pickup my car, I noticed a sizable scratch and scraped area on the lower, right front fender. I know it wasn't there before because I'd just waxed the car couple days before taking it to the shop. I immediately went inside and told Tony about. He came out and looked for himself. He said it couldn't have happened there because nobody told him about it. He called a Tech over and asked him about it. He denied hitting anything. Of course nobody reported it. It's human nature. I'm sure they were hoping I wouldn't notice it. I went ahead and paid them nearly $600.00 for the work they performed. It was a real kick in the teeth to spend that much money only to find they damaged my vehicle. They made no offer to make it right. I didn't even get an apology. I told them I would never patronize them again, and that I was going to review them on Yelp. They didn't seem concerned. My advice, if you do take your car there, take pictures of the entire car. In my opinion, someone there is a liar.
