Probably about as popular as Duvet in NYC (or as popular as Duvet was in the early 2000s, anyway). Who can't deny the novel concept of drinking alcohol while in bed, after all? Add the fact that you're steps away from the canal, and outside in beautiful weather, and you definitely earn some bonus points. I had a blast here last night celebrating a coworker who is moving on to bigger and better things. We stayed until the ungodly hours of the late evening (ie: midnight) skåling, and foos-balling, accompanied by fairly reasonable bottles of rosé, delicious white russians, a few shots of jager for good measure, and a late sunset over the skyline of central Copenhagen. I think if it weren't for the ridiculously inconvenient location (1km away from the nearest bus stop, number 40, and if you're on your bike, beware of the MANY potholes on the way out there), and the price of the completely underwhelming cheeseburger (125kr), I might have given it five stars. The owners of this venue would have it in their best interest to make a deal with the water taxi - at least during the warmer months - and the American cooks I heard talking in the kitchen should take better interest in their burger quality. This American was sorely disappointed by how dry and misshapen they were. Halvandet had plenty of guests yesterday, and I have to admit, laying on a plastic covered "bed" out in the sun after spending a whole day in the office was awesome. If they had free wifi, I'd "work from home" here every day of the summer. But I'd probs bring my own food. ;)

It's located on the Amager side of the harbor (opposite the little mermaid). The easiest way to get there on public transport is to catch the water bus (havnebus) line 991. The place has recently undergone a major revamp and is looking in good shape. The new owners had added a lot of new things (inside dining and a spa). The food is good, but I mostly go there to relax with friends on a good summer day.

We asked for their wine varietals and they essentially were re-filling most wines so we were told they had 1 white and 1 red-we ordered one of each. The wines themselves were very fine. However, once you leave the ordering area you realize how cool the area is. The bar overlooks a dock that people have surrounded around in various swim gear. If you plan ahead well enough you can easily go swimming and have a lovely glass of wine. If not, like us, then sit by the dock and enjoy the weather while drinking your glass of wine. We didn't venture into any of the food but really cannot emphasize how much we wished we could lounge further from a swimming standpoint! A lovely stopping point especially if you're on the way to Copenhill.

While exploring the industrial part of the city, I stumbled upon this tiny cafe along the water with a sauna attached to it. Wow, I'm glad I did! The cafe is no-frills, but leads down to a dock where you can enjoy your food, making for lunch with a view. Inside the cafe, you can order cocktails in a can, pastries and lunch from a small menu. For around $15, I ordered a cocktail in a can, pumpkin soup and a bowl of bread with olive oil. The bread was the best I has all trip and the soup was the best I've had ever! Service was fast, efficient and the price was much more affordable compared to many restaurants in Copenhagen. Although there's no wifi, this is still a must-experience.

Ice cream and sodavand for the littles, as well as snacks and cakes. Street food carts often here as well on weekends. A perfect place to listen to music, relax, read a book, swim in the canal and just hang out. Elegant gold pods line new Ofelia Beach pier and offer special events. The bartender was very knowledgeable about all of the drinks, with one of the most unique cocktail lists I have seen in awhile. Although the drinks look a bit intimidating, it was easier for me to tell him what I liked and then he highlighted a couple. I have not had the pleasure of trying the bar menu as of yet, but I have heard the Japanese pork sandwich is to die for. So I am very excited to go back, try more great cocktails and eat my way around the bar menu.

During this era of covid, we quickly found a table, scanned the QR code to order but it was a bit confusing when we first got there as we weren't sure what the protocol was. A wait staff eventually came to our table and explained how to order. We ordered from a Japanese place and got seasoned fries. They were good but not spectacular. However, the view was pretty amazing. We were seated indoors but could imagine on a nice sunny day being outdoors and enjoying the sun and the close proximity to the harbor.

The view is still amazing though, but don't have high hopes for a culinary experience. Actually I would recommend to go to the Løgismose store next door, buy a quality bottle of wine and some tapas and snacks and seat yourself on the chairs/benches next to Toldboden. Then you get great wine, food, view and ambience without being robbed.
