This place is exactly what I was hoping for not only on this side of the river, but in my own neighborhood! I've so far had consistently delicious espresso and drip coffees. They even make iced coffee! Honestly most coffee places don't even know what that is, they just pour hot stuff over ice and call it a day... To top it off the service is wonderful; the baristas are fastidious and consistent. The owner is proud to show off the roster and talk shop. So glad this is so close to home! Spent $18 on an iced vanilla latte and Belgium waffle. Waffle was over cooked and had an almost cardboard consistency. For $5.25 I was expecting my latte to blow me away, but was only just fine. Space is bright and pleasant, but likely will stick to other coffee shops for more reasonably priced food and drink. read more

Went in early on a Saturday morning for quick coffee and pastry to-go with my wife. She got a iced chai latte. Without looking at the menu board, I ordered a large iced red-eye with a pump of vanilla syrup and soy milk. We also ordered a small cherry(?) pastry of some sort. It was about four bites in total size. These three items together totaled $16.32. I'm used to paying a premium for good coffee but I did a double take when I saw the receipt at Broadsheet. To add insult to injury, my "large" iced coffee came in a 12 oz cup. The coffee was pretty bitter imo, and they forgot the soy. The pastry was delicious although small. Overall, the interior of the restaurant and ambiance was very nice. The staff was pleasant. But, the prices were just too high. There are plenty of great coffee shops in the area, so we probably won't be back. I think Broadsheet may have slightly overestimated what its clientele is willing to pay, but that's just my opinion.a read more

We live next door and the food and espresso drinks are awesome!! The staff is so kind and welcoming unlike other hip cafes in boston. The only down side is that it is quite expensive. Wish they had a punch card deal or something. read more

Every coffeeshop has a different vibe, but this one so far is meeting every expectation / desire I have in a coffeeshop. The aesthetic! The interior of this coffeeshop is primed for Instagram / snapchat / everything photos. The thought behind the design here goes a really long way in providing a comfortable experience. Even the ice cubes are perfectly cubed! And the people are really nice here - really chill. I had the falafel cake for breakfast - so good! Again, the flavors and design of the food seems very intentional - a good balance of vegan and gf options too. It's very clean too and overall really enjoyable to be in. read more

So nice to find a cafe that has delicious well made espressos and a good menu that is small but packs a punch with quality and flavour. The coconut oatmeal is really good - it is like a Bircher muesli which tastes great with the coconut, cashews and seasonal fruit compote. I loved the bright, airy, clean interior! read more

On the first visit to this coffee house I was served 1 cup of nicely brewed La Garita, a Guatemalan single origin offering. I was greeted by a friendly counter staff who later helped me on the selection of the purchase of a bag of freshly roasted Kenyan single origin coffee. It's a nice atmosphere with outside sidewalk seating for a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. If you are looking for a freshly roasted, ground and brewed cup of coffee with the option of a bite to eat and the purchase of a 12 oz bag of freshly roasted single origin coffee beans you may want to give this Cambridge/Somerville line coffee house a try. read more

I got the Classic Breakfast Sandwich and an Iced Vanilla Latte. I wasn't initially planning on eating anything, but realized how hungry I was when I got here to meet a friend. The food is pretty expensive so I went for one of the cheaper food items. It was okay, it didn't really hit the spot and I don't think I'd order savory food here again. However, I had one of the best iced vanilla lattes of my life here, haha. It was a little on the sweeter side, fyi. read more

The espresso here is really good. Their beans are solid and their baristas do a great job. If you are looking for good coffee in Cambridge, I would definitely try this place. Their espresso drink prices are in line with other Cambridge coffee shops. (The price of their nitro coffee is a bit higher, but you get what you pay for!) The space is beautiful. Tried this place for the first time and ordered a small iced coffee. It was barely drinkable -- super watery, with a bitter taste and no appreciable flavor. Maybe the hot coffee is better, but I don't care to find out -- with the $4 I spent here, I can get reliably good cold-brew across the street. read more

Not being coffee drinkers, we ordered a pastry and the ginger ale (shrub soda, so vinegar-based). It was tangy and slightly spicy and delicious. The coffee cake was moist, not-too-sweet, and had a lovely crumb. Service was great, space clean and beautiful. So glad they're in the neighborhood! read more

Great new coffee place in Cambridge within walking distance to Harvard Sq and Porter Sq. Bright and airy interiors. Busy without being overly crowded. Cortado coffee was excellent! Very interesting brunch menu for the weekend with a mediterranean flair, with lots of great options for both vegetarians and omnivores. Tried the Levant breakfast plate, Potato waffle, and Frittata, and they were all very good! Looking forward to trying the bags of coffee beans we bought to bring home. read more

Was able to drop by the soft opening yesterday, hurray for Cambridge crowd another coffee shop around the corner. However the prices are a bit steep, even compared to the ones nearby (no names :)) hence don't think I'll be coming here as much as I like to. They have a really relaxing environment and they also have some outdoor space when the weather is nice. read more

Asked for the eggs cooked well. Came out completely uncooked. Brought it back and the entire bread it was baked in was rock hard to the point I couldn't eat it. $12 down the drain. If you can't cook the egg without compromising the meal just say you can't do it read more

I stopped in here to buy a bag of their Limu Gera Ethiopian coffee. I cannot speak to the food or skill of the barista's, but this is the best coffee I've purchased in the area since moving here a few months ago. Fresh roasted, a few days before I bought it. It's on the high end at $22 for a 12 oz bag, but not much more than other "third wave" roasters as far as I can tell. And, like I said, best coffee I've had since landing here, and I've made it my mission to try as many as possible. On top of that, friendly staff and bright, clean, modern atmosphere. Since their opening, I've enjoyed great hot coffee and delicious Khachapuri /Georgian Egg Boats for breakfast several times. I'd never had Khachapuri before, but I am a fan, and it's very filling. While it's not cheap, the food and coffee are tasty. And today I also tried their amazing coffee cake - with crumble on top. Scrumptious! I highly recommend it! My colleagues at work agreed that it was not super-sweet or sticky like many other coffee cakes and was surprisingly light. We also tried their chocolate sesame cookie, which felt like a brownie- quite decadent. read more

Cambridge attracts the passionately nerdy of all niches, from neuroscience to home brining, and Broadsheet is no exception: they know coffee, food, local chocolate, and the 4AD music catalogue like nobody's business. But they also know their TEA, from what temperature water to use for each of the teas on their lovingly-curated, seasonally-changing options to how many minutes each should brew for. Really: once, when they were slammed, one of the many brainy, beautiful, incredibly friendly baristas once let me know my tea had brewed for too long, so they were starting over from scratch. Great food, kind staff. The biggest problem is the PRICE! I cant believe a coffee and a not-that-remarkable (how remarkable can a scone be) scone runs you 13 dollars. Insanely overpriced and poor service. I thought about getting an iced tea, but it was priced just under $4, which seemed too absurd for a small cup of tea and ice. Instead we both got the same breakfast sandwich and clearly stated the name of the sandwich twice (once with each order - and added avocado to the second). We ordered the New England breakfast sandwich (a bacon egg and cheese). With the added avocado on one it came to $20. We waited a while for the sandwiches and since we got them to go they came out in little boxes. We drove away only to find out that our sandwiches were just bread with spread and cucumbers on them. They did remember to put avocado on one....but it was not what we ordered. It definitely sucked paying $20 for bread and cucumbers. Not impressed - with such a small menu it seems like a really avoidable error. read more
