Poor service (think her name was Tina!?), way too rushed, offered me water but never delivered. Never got such a poorly done Shellac nails. When I left, I saw immediately that there were spots missed on my nails, it was bumpy and uneven. I walked back immediately and the lady knew why I came back and said she will fix it. Even after fixing it, they looked horrible. If you know you did such a bad job, don't let the customer leave!!! I've visited enough nail salons in my life to recognize a good job well done. This location is now my favourite pedicure place and the best of all is that it's only 5 minutes away from HOME. I have been visiting regularly now for my shellac pedicures and they really do such a good job. I'm attention to details and sometimes is a downfall as it elevates your expectations a lot higher. The salon never fails me, the ladies do a very good job and are very friendly. I enjoy how clean and bright the inside is and appreciate the little things like offering you a bottle of water and helping you slip on your shoes after the pedicure. The best part is that they offer a loyalty stamp card to customers who spend minimum of $35 per visit 10 times and you receive one free $35 service. read more

I enjoyed this nails salon. It was clean and the staff was friendly and nice. I got a shellac mani and a regular pedi for $50. The staff provided bottled water and did a foot massage with hot stones. I've never had a hot stones massage on my foot and leg with a pedi so it was a nice touch. The shellac mani was nicely done. My manicurist took time to do it and worked with what I wanted. This salon is usually decent, not great but for their reasonable price it's fine, the staff are very friendly but today I got what seemed like a new lady. I called and booked an appointment for acrylics, got in and confirmed acrylics. I sit down with the new girl, she skips a bunch of steps and starts putting jell on my nails. Before we started I showed her a picture of the shape I wanted and asked her to make them longer than the picture, moments later she is filing the nails down to the tip of my finger actually kinda painful. Nothing near the length I asked for. So she doesn't listen to the nail type or length and just goes off. She did seem like a nice lady but it is obvious that she needs to be trained AGAIN. Haven't seen any reviews for bio gel for this place so was hesitant at first but after reading all the great reviews on shellac I thought I might just take a chance and hope for the best. I asked for bio gel nails (with extension) 45$ plus shellac on top which was an extra 10$. In total I paid 65$ with tip and it was worth every dollar. Firstly, the lady who did my nails her name was Dee, I believe. She was very friendly and she knew what she was doing from beginning to end. Even though the store was getting busy, she didn't rush but managed her time really well to satisfy myself and other customers. All the staff members seem really nice, they even give you a cold water bottle as you sit down and do your nails. After trying mostly all the nail salons on the Danforth I think I've finally found this hidden gem. read more

This place just opened up at the beginning of the month 5 minutes walk from my building and I'd been looking for a place to get my first shellac mani-pedi done, so it was good timing. I made an appointment, however, they take walk-ins and the day I was there (Thursday, around 11-noon), their walk-ins didn't even wait 5 minutes and they were helped right away. The girls working there were very polite, welcoming, they offered me a seat in one of their massage chairs and a bottle of water. The remote for the massage chair is there for you to control, however, I let it be and just enjoyed the chair. I had one girl working on my toes, and another on my fingernails. Very fast, efficient, they talked amongst themselves a bit but not too much and kept their focus on what they were doing, which was very nice to see. Overall, they were pretty gentle with me, the least pleasant part was the cuticles but I think that's generally the less pleasant part. Otherwise, they were very gentle with my nails and toenails. They applied some creams, used some hot towels for my hands, and even added in a hot stone massage for my legs/feet. It was very nice. The salon itself is very clean, as soon as some clients left, one of the employees came around to clean the tub and chair. Their tools seemed very clean as well, from what I could see anyway. I actually appreciated that there wasn't a lot of small talk, not that I don't enjoy socializing, and the girls were very nice but sometimes you just want to relax and I was certainly able to do that. My manicure and pedicure both turned out great, shiny, pretty and it took them less than an hour to do both, which was faster than I expected. After 10% off, which is valid until the end of October, my bill came to just under $60. I don't have any other place to compare to in terms of shellac mani-pedis but I enjoyed my visit and will likely return, especially since it's so close to me. If you're nearby, try it out! read more

Is 0 an option? Sorry this is long but you'll see why! Came here to get my nails redone - bio gel - by random referral. I was told 10 minute wait but to get the nails off I would have to sit in acetone briefly, fair enough. 35 minutes later as my fingers soak in acetone, still had not been looked at. 45 minutes later my nail adventure finally began. I have been to a few nail places in the area so I had an idea what I was in for for bio gel. - not this place. I was asked if I wanted my cuticles done for an additional 10$...um..isn't that just normally done? Everywhere I have been that has not even been a question and is included. No thank you. Then I'm asked if I want to have shellac on top of the bio gel for 10$...um again...everywhere I've been bio gel is bio gel no hidden fees, no questions. No thank you. Also, added a fee to take nails off which again, never happens anywhere else when you're going to spend $55+ at their establishment. So she continues, every so often trying to sell it again. Finally she does the French (which started free but when I said no to other things got charged 5$) whatever...takes on and off the french multiple times on multiple nails..thinking she's a perfectionist, great...nope some nails are uneven with holes and bubbles....fantastic. I'm told I can get it fixed but at this point I've been there for 2+ hours.. I'm good and then I am told "be careful its regular polish"...excuse me...so I basically got a REALLY expensive manicure...wow. If you want your nails done reasonably without gouging you for money with things that are included anywhere else I suggest you check out ANYWHERE ELSE on the Danforth (Rosy's or Urban for example)! read more

This is quickly becoming my go-to in East York for my nails. THE GOOD: - The staff is friendly and polite. They are usually quite busy, but have always been able to accommodate my walk-ins. - The interior is bright, open and more polished (see what I did there?) than comparable nail salons with the same prices. It doesn't have the dusty or grimy feel that I've experienced at other salons. I like the funky rock wall behind the pedicure chairs. - You know that horrific, chemical-y fume smell that's overpowering at most GTA nail salons? Yeah, you won't find that here. - They offer you water or tea with a cute lil' flower inside as you get your nails did - a small but nice touch. - For the regulars, there's a loyalty stamp card: visit 10 times (service of at least $35) and receive a free service of your choice ($35 value). THE BAD: - Nothing in particular, but I can't give 5/5 as it doesn't quite have that W-O-W factor. Worst salon!! I dont know why their rated so high. I get uv gel all the time I do a full set of nails (not at this salon), but they suggested I get this seaweed gel and said its comparable. Long story short there was no arm rest on the table to rest your arm while the girl does your nails, its a piece of cardboard with a thin layer of tape, it was very uncomfortable. My nails where too thick, the shape is poorly done, I have air bubbles all over my nails. I notified the girl and later realizing she did not fix the problem. I was so turned off I didnt even get my nails painted. I paid $55,they over charged me by $10, the next day the air bubbles where so big my nails were lifting by the 3rd day my nails came off. ): read more

I was so surprised of the quality of service of this place after reading the slightly negative reviews. This place definitely deserves better ratings, it's a gem of a salon. They give a free water bottle right as you come in, use heated rocks for massaging during pedicures as well as offer pillows for comfort as your getting a mani pedi. The store it self is very clean and is spacious (I find that a lot of salons these days are very cluttered and use tacky decoration). I really love this place. I lived nearby and will travel back there because I know the service is reliable. HOWEVER: To the owners!! PLEASE purchase non-latex gloves!! Even if you just keep one box on hand. I have a severe allergy to latex and can't risk the gloves - there have been a couple girls that have not worn gloves and been really sweet about it, but I know it's safer for everyone if gloves are worn and it's really embarrassing to have to explain every time that I'm allergic, especially if the girl who just agreed to do my pedicure looks horrified when I ask for no gloves. If you have even just one box of vinyl or nitrile gloves on hand this solves the problem. Latex allergies are extremely common and very few nail salons understand or care. I haven't even been able to find one yet. I've been asking about this for years now, PLEASE consider it. read more

There's only one nail technician in the whole spot that knows how to do nails properly she delegates who she wants to take based on tips she only likes taking older clients because they tip her at least five dollars per session so many times I've gone there and she's overlooked me because I am definitely not in my 50's she's passed me along to another technician which is totally screwed up my nails I paid over $60 to get a series of things done and the nail technician that she referred me to miss shaped my nails apply the powder on not properly my nails look totally deformed and I have to re-pay somebody else to do them Shame on you my dear you're greedy and all you care is about yourself I don't know your name but you were glasses , young, black shoulder length hair and you are the head technician there and all you care about is your tips you don't care about quality service yes you guys offer tea and water is so cheap you can buy it at the dollar store it's a nice compliment but you should care more about your clients more about your aestheticians and how they do service and not just trying to pick up your best elderly tipping customers for your own tip inquiries shame on you! read more

Dee is her name and she was able to do it expertly! She did my nails three or four times and each time did a beautiful job! I called today to make an appointment with her only to find out she is no longer there! After finding someone I like so much, I'm now back to square one. Really nice place! This might be my new GO TO nail salon now. Prices are definitely right. They give you a complimentary water or tea as soon as you walk in, which is rare in most average priced nail salons. Helpful staff. There wasn't any bickering amongst co-workers, everyone was working or helping each other with their client. Julia (if i remember correctly) gave me a pedicure, and it was AMAZING. It was a snowy day here in Toronto, and she made sure before I left that it wasn't going to get ruined once I put on my boots. Thanks Julia! The pedicure was very relaxing. 10/10! The interior of the place is friendly and open compared to most nail salons. NO CHEMICAL SMELL. thank god. This salon actually has proper ventilation so you're not getting that whiff of chemicals in your face while getting your nails done. HUGE plus, since i'm super sensitive. I read the good reviews of Broadview Nails and Spa, but was disappointed with my pedicure. When I was paying, I noticed that the nail polish was very streaky and uneven, and asked if she could fix it. She was annoyed, fixed one toe, and didn't ask if it was OK. It didn't look any better. She also didn't spend any time at all exfoliating my feet. Once the cream was washed off, all of the rough spots were still there. The price is cheap, but you get what you pay for. I assume the staff isn't paid a decent wage, and they probably aren't trained. Pay a few dollars more and get a proper pedicure. read more

I've been to a several nail salons on the Danforth and surrounding areas and I had high hopes for this one because it is so conveniently located. However, for the past few trips I've gone there for a manicure and/or pedicure I've had a really bad experiences. It wasn't always so, but, the last couple times (I go regularly, I.e. at least once a month), they boh rushed and did a poor job. One of my shellac manicures chipped within a couple days of getting it done, and my pedicures look like nothing was done, just my nails painted. To specify: one of my toe nails has already chipped (had them done yesterday) and I've only work closed toe shoes even though it's beautiful outside and I could wear sandals). My heels also look like they've been trenching through beaches for a week with how chapped they look (some simple pumice stone could've remedied that). To top it all off, when I met up with two friends yesterday, a mother and daughter (child) came in AFTER us and got seated and attended to first, no appointment. When I asked about it they acted like they were confused with my question. It's customary be first come first seve in these places unless you have an appointment. Too bad for them, the experience I had there was not as good as when it first opened and I will be taking my business to another nail salon (there are many!) on the Danforth. hi all! I just want to put out there that this is a great place for a quick pedicure. I go here regularly, but it is true that my heels never feel very smooth even the same day as the pedicure. You get what you pay for, and here you get a fair amount for a low price, which is what brings me back! I want to also say that I had a bad experience with Dee cutting my fingers 3 times when I got a manicure a while ago. She did not apologize. Be careful! I'm sure she was just tired that day, because I read a lot of reviews that mention her to be great, but I just wanted to make sure my story was heard, because it was unprofessional and unacceptable. I wanted both a half leg wax and pedicure and have been looking for something good in the east end, since I'm fed up with Urban Nails, where I went for years. This place is everything I hoped for and then some. The waxing was fine, the woman attending to me used those things that are like giant wax markers and applied some brief pressure after ripping off the fabric strips that follow. She used liquid wax with the popsicle sticks for my feet and even got a few minor in-growns with tweezers. So she was fairly thorough. BIG fan of the loyalty card, it would keep me coming back on its own but the fact that there were massage chairs, it was clean, staff was friendly AND the aesthetician doing my toes took special care of a sore toe... My bf booked an apt here for my bday and I received a mani/pedi. My pedicure was great however my manicure was a whole nother story.. First off my shellac cracked on almost all of my nails and I didn't notice till I got in the car and we were almost home ... I mean it was stupid on my part for being so blind but I thought that was rude and shady for letting someone leave knowing you've totally fucked up their whole experience - how do you expect for customers to come back. Spent $100.00 on a shitty salon. Don't get me wrong the water bottles are a great bonus (kudos to them) but seriously focus on the quality and service first then you can worry about the little knick knacks for freebies.. Had Eyelash Extensions done here - my first experience with this treatment. I would HIGHLY DISSUADE anyone from having eyelash extensions done here as I truly would not want anyone to go through the pain that I did. Was very hard to communicate with staff, both to set up an appointment and during the appointment itself. I was led to the basement into a private room and immediately got a strange gut feeling but told myself to go ahead with the appointment anyway. Within the first few minutes of eyelashes being applied, one of my eyes began to sting very painfully. I immediately knew the worker had gotten glue in my eye. But not being entirely familiar with the process, I tried to tell myself maybe it was just the tape that had been applied that was bugging my eye. The strange gut feeling immediately came back, but I pushed through; the pain in my eye continued the entire hour that the appointment lasted. I felt nauseous and very nervous for the state of my eye. When finished, my eyes began to water like crazy and both were stinging. I had red veins on my eyeball which got the glue in it for 4 days afterwards; initially I didn't know if it would even go away. It was a sketchy set-up and workers are not properly trained to conduct this treatment. On top of this experience, the eyelashes were applied a bit wonky and uneven as well, doesn't look great and at this point I'm ready for them to be gone (1 week after appointment). read more

I went here based on the reviews I had read. I noticed not a lot of feedback on Bio Gel nails but based on the other feedback I thought I'd give them a shot. I'm truly disappointed with this place. First of all, I was done a bio gel fill with nail polish in 30 mins. Fastest fill I have ever gotten. The girl that did it while she was nice and offered me a bottle of water seemed to be more concerned with finishing fast than quality. She literally slapped on the gel and I didn't even have my hands under the lights for a minute to have them cure and she was already telling me to pull then out. She didn't make sure the gel was level and now my nails have these weird lumps and bumps in them. I thought she would fix it with the drill but nope....I also have gel on my actual cuticles as well. Also, when she used the drill it was set to such a highspeed it actually felt uncomfortable (it didn't hurt but kind of felt like it and she skimmed my cuticles a couple of times and I'm surprised she didn't cut me). The polish job I was received was horrible. I noticed that a lot of their polish only had a quarter left in the bottle and a lot were dried out. This colour I picked was quite thick. She was painting them so fast that I noticed she wasn't getting colour on the sides of the nails so I asked her to go over it with the second coat. She put on a thick second coat and covered those spots. I'm not sure why but she was painting the very tips of my nails and it wasn't until I got home and was examining them that I noticed while painting the tips she actually got nail polish under my nails as well Now, I had to go with a q-tip and try to get that off. The clear coat she put on top was so thick it took awhile for my nails to dry. This place was $10 cheaper than where I normally go but so not worth it. I'd rather fork out the extra money and get a real salon experience where there is no rush and they ensure your nail lengths are even on both hands and they smooth out the nail surface. I'm thoroughly confused by all these great reviews because my experience was crappy and so not worth the money. read more
