Established in 1992.
I am currently undertaking a Doctor of Creative Arts in orchestral composition at Western Sydney University (2024) and transferring to a Doctor of Musical Arts at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Drawing on over three decades as a musician, composer and educator, my research expands contemporary orchestral writing, informed by jazz, rock, classical and film music. I received the 2024 Penrith Symphony Orchestra Composition Prize for a commissioned symphonic work commemorating the Bondi Junction tragedy. Since 1992 I have composed and performed across television, film and concert halls, with international broadcasts of my works. I have also taught students of all ages in composition, performance and songwriting across instruments and styles.

My teaching philosophy centres on fostering creativity and individuality. Students choose the instruments, songs, and styles that inspire them, while I support their passions with solid technique, theory, and well-researched performance and compositional practices. With a Master of Music (AIM) and Bachelor of Music (UNSW), I combine academic depth with extensive industry experience, including editing László Dubrovay’s 2021 treatise on contemporary composition, scoring the internationally recognised short film Little Lies, and having original songs featured on SBS’s Pizza. Lessons are held in my air-conditioned studio at 185-211 Broadway, Ultimo, opposite the Broadway Shopping Centre, with street and centre parking available, and a short walk from Central Station or bus access. I provide a supportive, inspiring environment for beginners and advanced students alike, helping them develop their unique musical voice and reach their full potential.
