09.01.25 the iconic Broadway Street, where you can find live music, dancing and southern food at various honky tonk bars
    May A.

Honky Tonk Highway [Nashville TN] Unlike Beale Street in Memphis, Broadway in Nashville isn't closed to traffic BUT, like Beale Street, both destinations are known for their cuisines (especially dishes like ribs and hot chicken) and both Tennessee cities played an important role in American music. We were overwhelmed by all the bars, restaurants, clubs and its vibrant music scene. We learned that there's never a cover charge from the entertainment in these bars and restaurants and the music is always live. The performers get paid from the tips you deposit on your way out or in our case, while dining at JBJ's Nashville, one of the band members will come around each table collecting (and they accept Venmo LoL!) While exploring we found ourselves surrounded by a mix of shops, bars, restaurants, and historical landmarks, all a mixture to Broadway's lively atmosphere, the lower Broadway area are famous establishments owned by celebrities. All I know is we survived Broadway! Review #3888

Since my son moved to Nashville I have visited the Broadway Historic District many times. What makes it special are the people and the events. Everyday there is always a different crowd, so the vibe is unique depending on who is there and what is happening. In crowded areas, like on Broadway, it is important that people remember to be kind and patient not demanding and rude. Then everyone will have a good time. We spent Fourth of July at the Twelve Thirty Club. It was a great time. You could feel the energy everwhere. We had a view of the street and it was packed, so was the club. There was a couple of times people acted rude, but it worked itself out. We have been to concerts at the Ryman Auditorium, a beautiful venue, then hit the clubs afterwards. We were able to get into places and grab a seat at the bar. On Broadway, you may need to wait in lines, and/or make advance reservations but it is worth it. Traffic will be tricky. It is better to walk. Remember that Ubers will also get stuck in traffic. Patience is a key when you visit Broadway. Two of my favorite honkytonks on Broadways include Kid Rock's Big Honky Tonk and Steakhouse and Posty's that includes 6 bars and three stages. They usually have great bands, but there is usually a line out the door to get in.

Such a lively place filled with so many bars and restaurants.Great place to sight see and to just have fun with friends. They have paid parking lots and metered parking. Definitely a thing to do and place to visit when in Nashville.

Love hanging out in downtown Nashville on Broadway. Went shopping, got some drinks, heard lots of great music.

Broadway was such a fun place to visit! I went around 8PM and it was definitely bustling with activity. There were plenty of bar and restaurant choices and every establishment had live music playing. Although the speakers most places had to push the music outside were way too loud and would hurt your ears as you walked by. We did have a bit of trouble finding parking- there aren't too many options and the closest arena was like $40. We ended up parking in a garage down the street from the main thoroughfare and walking to broadway.

This is the party central of Nashville and brings many folks into the city. Tons of bars, clubs, restaurants and a great fun vibe. I would have enjoyed this a lot more 10 years ago. Now I respectfully watch it and then leave. ;-) There are lot of other fun things to do in the area as well if you are not into the bar hopping scene. The Country Music Hall of Fame and the Bridgestone arena to name a few.

Crazy place to be at night. Coworkers and I came here for a conference event and spent hours at Ole Red listening to music and having great food/drinks. Then we walked around a bit after the event. Never seen so many people out and about, drunk and having fun on a Tuesday night. We later went into Kid Rocks place and had some more fun! Great night! This place is cool!

Broadway will forever be one of my favorite areas in Nashville. The live bands, the neon lights at night, the people, the food, the entertainment...there's a reason why they call it "Nashvegas". It was everything I needed and more! It's definitely a busy area that seems to always be crowded, no matter day or night, but if you're looking to bar hop, eat good food, listen to great music or just relax at a rooftop bar, Broadway is the place to go!

With this being a staple for the spirit and heart of Nashville, it's kinda a cardinal sin to visit this town and not go for a visit. With a plethora of bars and bites, you'll see generations running up and down the street. Get your fix of live music and upcoming artists. You've been warned though... get ready for it to be bachelorette party central where there's one group you'll see every thirty seconds lol.

If you've ever been to the Vegas Strip, Freemont Street in Vegas, Bourbon Street or Times Square, that's sort of what to expect in terms of loud music, lots of neon signs and lots of tourists. I enjoyed checking out Robert's and was able to get a seat at the bar in the afternoon. Lots of gigantic bars/restaurants owned by famous country singers are here too if you're looking for that sort of thing. It gets crazier the later you go so if you're 21 and looking to party this is your scene at midnight when those who are a little older have headed to more chill places elsewhere in Music City. It's a must see but go during the day for a more chill experienece and go at night if you want crazy.

This is the very popular bar, shopping, and live music area of Nashville! We visited on a Monday during the day in early March and it was still packed! Definitely so many people, a big tourist destination, and just such a hustle of restaurants trying to get you into their establishments. It's busy and chaotic and a little bit too much for me, but I loved window shopping, soaking in the vibes, and trying on boots at all the different boot stores they had!

Located just southwest of downtown between midtown and broadway, The Gulch is an expansive, but equally quaint part of the city that is classic mixed use of residential and retail. Main reason you may find me in The Gulch is for food. There is a solid variety of eateries from local casual spots to more established dining, sandwich shops and even a few spots for dessert. While that's my reason, most tourists find their way to The Gulch for the famous wing mural next to Biscuit Love. Got to get them wings while in Nashville! Outside of the food and wings, there are lots of local and chain businesses and services in the area including self-care, medical offices and of course clothing boutiques. Additionally, Noble Park is in the middle of The Gulch. It's a really cool urban space that features a good green space, seating, music and a water wall. It is also host to markets and small events throughout the year. Parking is plentiful in The Gulch, buts its all paid. There are garages, lots and street parking.
