I contacted Brock because I really liked the look of his online portfolio. I needed new photos for my website and social media channels (I run a recipe website), so I figured I'd give him a try. He called me back the next day and his enthusiasm was infectious - he suggested going beyond the basic headshots I was considering and creating more of a themed photoshoot (photos of me in the kitchen since that's what I do). He took care of the details such as sourcing a photoshoot-worthy kitchen, recommending a hair & makeup artist, and generally planning the day so I didn't have to worry about much except for showing up and bringing the props and outfits that I wanted in specific photos. Brock is easygoing, very professional, and just generally nice to work with. He sent the proofing gallery over within a couple of days of the photoshoot being done, and then after I selected the final images, they were ready (edited and sent over in multiple formats) in less than two weeks. The worst photographer ever. Total waste of money. I would be happier if I would have used a selfie stick to take my wedding photos. Brock likes to take natural photos, so your eyes are always closed or your head is pointing in the wrong direction. A photographer must give you direction and control the situation. During wedding party, he was just sitting at a table, he needed to be coerced to even take pictures. He seemed like he wanted to just sit and wait out the clock. Brock charges prices like he is the premier photographer for Edmonton but in reality the photos you will receive looks like stills from security footage. Im writing this review to hopefully save other people the pain of dealing with Brock. Even when confronted with an unhappy customer, Brock makes no attempt or effort to help or even talk to you. Once he is paid, he is done with you and your photos mean nothing to him. read more

I went to Brock for a last-minute actors headshot. He accommodated me at the last minute. The photo shoot was very quick, as we managed to get some great shots very quickly. I really appreciated that, as I had to be getting to work right away. The studio is a nice little space, and worked well for the purposes of the shoot. He also had a great little backdrop selection, which took no time at all to set up. I appreciated Brock's professionalism, the cozy little studio, his ability to meet my photo needs in a short time, and the quality of the pics that I got to choose from. Brock took our wedding photos, we chose him based off his website and online reviews. It was a huge mistake. Our wedding was at the end of July, we didn't get our pictures until November. When we did receive them we got 291 photos, out of more than 3000 that he took. If these were the best I am horrified to think of what the majority looked like. Many of the photos are blurry and feature closed eyes or terrible shots. Some examples being the only photos of our wedding cake are not centered and one side is cut off, in every single picture of the cake. He took pictures of our wedding rings on top of my wife's bouquet, which are all blurry. And most of the photos we received our eyes are closed or otherwise look bad. A few times he was taking pictures of my wife I took a few pictures with my cell phone. I do not know how it is possible that they turned out better than all the pictures he took with his professional equipment. Once we went through the pictures we were horrified that we had no good pictures of us and many people that attended the wedding were not present in any photo at all! We sent an email to Brock and got no response until it was followed up with phone calls a couple of weeks later. We ended up going to a studio and having new photos taken by a photographer. It just sucks that we don't even have a single photo of our wedding day to remember, that is something I don't wish on anyone. when I finally spoke to Brock, he said it is common to only receive such a small amount of pictures back, and said my wife was just super critical, but that cannot be true as she loved almost all the pictures the second photographer took. Since Brock basically told me to get lost when I spoke to him I am currently launching a case against him in small claims court. I hope this message gets out and he is not able to ruin anyone else's wedding. If anyone has any reason to doubt me I can forward some of Brock's work to you. read more
