I am very disappointed with this preschool. We were excited to enroll our three year old after we…read morehad heard such good things, however we did not have a good experience. My son is an energetic 3 year old who needed some help with socialization. On three separate occasions the teacher discussed with me some behavior concerns she had but every time she assured me that this was normal three year old behavior for a child having difficulty with a transition. I even asked her at one point if she thought my son was too young or too immature for the program and again she assured me that he was ok and she was confident that he would come around. That was our last interaction which occurred on a Monday. My son had class that day, Wednesday and Friday. The following Monday the director told me that she needed to set up a time to meet with me to discuss my son but would offer no other information. My husband contacted her privately and she would still not disclose what the meeting was about. When we went to the meeting they had a entire page typed of behavioral concerns they had for my son and told us he was being removed from the program. So it went form he is struggling to transition to removal in three class days and I was never informed of these problems prior to the meeting. When asked why I was not told about any of these behaviors they informed me they try to handle it in the school and not involve parents which I do not agree with. If my three year old is struggling with behavior I feel I should be informed. I was also told they did not want to discuss my son in the hallway while other parents were around. I totally agree with this however they have all of my contact information and could have contacted me privately at any time. Due to the fact that they did not involve my husband or I when trying to develop a plan to manage my son he was removed without even being given the opportunity to modify his behavior. The basically said they could not handle my three year old after only 11 days of school. I felt they were completely unprofessional with the way they handled the situation. So if your child is very mild tempered and used to group settings I am sure this program will be fine for you. However, if you have an energetic child that behaves as most three year olds can I do not feel they are competent in handling children like this. My husband is an educator and I was a mental health nurse for many years so we are very educated and experienced with the normal development of children and it is our professional opinion that this school did not handle our situation professionally or appropriately. The director does not even have a background in early childhood education that should have been our first red flag.

I thought everything was ok up until the day when they took blood from each of the students and then threw it in a fire while chanting hamburger cheeseburger Big Mac whopper. I would've given this school more stars but it maxed me out at five. I greatly enojoyed my time with the cheeseburger demon and wpuld reccomended this experience to anyone.

I have been to many colleges throughout the last ten years trying to figure out what I want out of…read morelife. Brockport has been a pleasant surprise. Yes, the food could be a little better, but the education is next to none. The campus is continually growing and changing- and in the late spring to early fall is absolutely beautiful! But those horrid frigid winter months are brutal because the college is basically just not set up for students to access buildings easily without freezing their pants off. I highly recommend the education as Brockport is ranked in the top 100 schools in New York, but be Prepared... those professors (although very interested in helping you learn) are tough and you do have to work hard for your grades. But over all- what an amazing experience. I've truly grown into a better person through my classes and the professors and staff here. They will help you figure out what you want to do and what your good at... and because of Brockport, my future is bright again! Hope this helps ... :)
