Their nurses, social worker and chaplain visited regularly, keeping close communication with her memory care facility staff, home care agency and especially with my family, patiently answering our many questions. Our input on Mom's care was respected, and when the time came for a move to the Ruth McClain Hospice House, we knew we were in good hands. The people who work there are highly trained and very personable. They love their work, and supported my mother with astute attention to her needs, as well as helping my siblings and I through a difficult time. We were so impressed with the superior quality of Mom's end-of-life care.

But at the end my husband wanted to die at home and Old Colony Hospice made that possible. For over 2 weeks the nurses and aides would come on a daily basis. And all looked after my husband with such care and understanding. They were sensitive to our wishes even if they seemed counter intuitive and they were at the end of a phone at 3:0am or in person at midnight if we needed them. And in the final hours, which even if they had experienced many times, they treated us like family and had words of comfort that made a huge difference. I couldn't recommend them more.

All members of the team were tightly coordinated and in sync in supporting us as my husband's transition accelerated after a very painful fracture of the shoulder. From Faith, a very experienced hospice aide, to McKenzie, the case manager who visited us almost every day, to Connie the weekend nurse whose wisdom, insight and patience carried us forward, to Catherine, the social worker, Valerie, Reiki specialist, and Frank the Chaplin - all brought unique and supportive perspectives as we navigated this challenging time. My husband and I wanted to do hospice at home and as his decline accelerated, this hospice team made the journey possible. I am forever grateful for the wonderful care my husband received and the comfort care my family was given. I would strongly recommend this hospice! Hard to express how truly outstanding the team was!!

If someone was unable to answer a question, they admitted it & got the answer for us. As a nurse, I can be very picky with medical care. We were so lucky to have Lindsay as the primary nurse for my mother in law. She guided the entire family ( 6 children!!!) through the dying process. She was able to anticipate needs of everyone & facilitated them, while always putting my mother in law first. She was also able to arrange for a well needed massage from Poppy who was perfect. I cannot say enough about this hospice team!!! The best- don't go anywhere else.

This place is an absolute DUMP! Do not leave your loved ones here…read more I REPEAT, IF YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY ELDER MEMBER, DO NOT LEAVE THEM HERE!!!! My Grandfather was recently sent here to seek PT/Rehab treatment. He ended up having 2 seizures while he was there and was admitted to the ER twice. The quality of care at Brockton Health Center is terrible! When I went to visit my Grandfather, the nurses ONLY came in to do their job when I was present. I had to take him to use the bathroom. He was soaked with urine, skin had a rash from them leaving his adult diaper on all day. They did not change his urine soaked bed sheets (until I came in, complained about it, and did it myself). The care there is atrocious! It smells like bowel secretion through out the whole facility. Please read the reviews from other folks on google - all horrid stories as well. I would not recommend this place a cat let alone a human being. This place should be condemned. Needless to say, my family took my Grandfather out of that despicable insurance money hungry facility! He is now at West Acres and the care there is absolutely amazing! They treat my Grandfather like a loved one. If you are looking for a nursing home in Brockton or the South Shore, forget this place! Go to West Acres or any other place besides this one.
