Looking for shutters and blinds combo. We met with Dallas and he he was very attentive and took the time to listen to our needs and than focus to show us what we were looking for etc. Didn't try to up sell us which is pleasant thus allowing customers to decide for themselves, yet taking his recommendations into consideration. Ironically, Cyndi was "off" that Saturday but she just happen to swing, so happy to have met her. She "chatted" a little bit and allowed Dallas to take care of us which we were ok with. On Monday we received the multiple quotes from Dallas since we asked for a couple of options. At this point, we've not made the purchase yet.. house is new construction so still a few months out. Next step: We will reach out to Cyndi / Dallas and that we are pleased with the quote provided. Our blind specialist was Julie and she was awesome. She was friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. She really listened to our desires and kept our budget in mind. She promptly send us a quote and gave us military discount. You pay half deposit when placing the order and then pay the remaining balance after the blinds are installed and you are 100 percent satisfied. We are very pleased with our blinds and every time we have company over we receive tons of compliments on our blinds. Blinded by Delight also have a referral program and they send our cute little handwritten thank you cards once you purchase. I highly recommend them! Be sure to ask for Julie! :)

We lived in a two-story home that had polywood shutters on all the downstairs windows. Shortly…read moreafter purchasing that home, we decided to finish the job and added shutters to all the upstairs windows as well. They keep rooms dark when closed, help keep the heat and cold out and are safe with curious toddlers running about wanting to touch them. During our time in that house, one of the downstairs shutter frames came lose. It only took a simple phone call and a 5 minute visit from a Sunburst technician to fix the problem (No charge thanks to the warranty). Fast forward several years; my husband and I were ready to downsize and purchased a smaller home that required some remodeling to include new windows. We knew we wanted shutters again, so prior to closing, Sunburst give us an estimate to help us budget the improvements we wanted to make. A few months went by, we finally closed and the next day I called Sunburst to confirm and submit our order. After several weeks, our windows arrived with multiple issues. The shutters had already been made right the first time and were waiting in the local warehouse to install. Because of the window delay, we had to ask Sunburst to hold off a few extra weeks for the install, which was not an issue for them at all. On installation day, I was given a time frame of arrival between 11am-1pm. I was also told it would take approximately 4.5 hours for the install to be complete, so basically my entire work day would be shot. I went to work for a few hours that morning planning to be home by 11am to meet the technician. I received a call 10 minutes prior to 11am stating he was already there (luckily, I was just up the street). It is so rare for someone to be on time, much less early! To top it off, he finished the install in about 2 hours as opposed to the 4+ I was originally anticipating. Just a great experience overall! Throughout the entire process, Sunburst was a breeze to work with. From the initial measurements and quote, to the actual order several months later (which was easily accomplished with a phone call), to the delay and finally the installation. They even went so far as to check with me prior to the final installation date, just to ensure our new windows were complete and we were ready to move forward. In a world where it seems like customer service is lacking, they made notes of our prior conversations and took the time to check to make sure everything was on track. Every time I've worked with someone from this company, it's always been a very friendly, smooth process and made me confident I could rely on them to do things right the first time. Needless to say, we now have shutters and couldn't be happier. They look beautiful from the outside of the house and put the finishing touch on the inside. I could finally trash the temporary paper accordion shades we had been living with and it felt great! I recommend Sunburst to everyone who will listen We will never need to replace or change our window coverings again which is a huge cost savings over the long run. No more cleaning mini-blinds or drapes... yay! My husband and I occasionally look at each other and comment that it's one of the best investments we made in our home.

South Texas Draperies - defective roller blind shade that broke 3 months after installation and fell down 7 months after installation

On June 5, 2025, South Texas Draperies (with showroom at 7515 Grissom Road, #103, San Antonio)…read moreprovided a quote to install 19 window shades inside my home. On July 28, 2025, I paid approximately half of the total project cost to get it started. Installation began August 9, 2025. The first pieces were installed improperly, and the installer broke one of our glass window panes. South Texas Draperies said he would deduct the cost of the window replacement from the total bill, and he would find a different installer to complete our project. On August 19, 2025, the other installer fixed some of the improperly installed window shades and suggested how to remedy some of the other improperly installed window shades. I made a second payment to move the project forward, and soon thereafter, the final window shades were installed. However, the blackout shades were not installed properly. On September 16, 2025, the improperly installed blackout shades were fixed except for one end cap that was broken. John said repairing the broken end cap on the blackout shade would be a warranty repair. I called South Texas Draperies to get the schedule for the warranty repair on September 22, September 29, November 4 and November 6, but he did not provide a schedule. On November 18, the installer came to fix the broken end cap, but communications were not clear, so the warranty repair was not performed. On November 25, I informed South Texas Draperies that several of the shades were no longer rolling up and would need to be fixed or replaced. South Texas Draperies did not respond to my calls or text messages. Because some of the shades would not roll up, on December 3, 2025 our painters had to temporarily remove some of the shades so they could paint the windows. South Texas Draperies later claimed that the warranty was voided because the shades had been removed by our painters. On March 23, 2026, I came home to see one of the shades had fallen to the ground. That was the last straw, so I am writing this message to warn others.

One shutter came in slightly damaged and was not noticed until after installation. The installer said they will reorder and come back and put up the new one. Waiting for the replacement to come in.
