Dang. Karen knows how to command a tasting room! Friendly, knowledgeable and capable. When we showed up, we were the only guests but soon after, a dozen people arrived and she catered to everyone and made us feel special. She made such practical recommendations about how to use each spirit. We tasted several and left with four bottles. Very balanced gin and vodka...plus, phenomenal bourbons in gorgeous bottles featuring an inverse broken top mountain in the bottle design. Far exceeded our expectations. LOVED this place!!! Great whiskey flight with curated tastes based on your preference with extra tastes to boot. We were blown away by the lemonade and also super loved the grapefruit vodka (it's a new release). And image my surprise as I'm walking through the lovey, quaint downtown area of Sisters, and I see a distillery tasting room. The young woman offering tastings was very friendly, knowledgeable, and a joy to be around. I tried some liquors I hadn't had before and purchased some wine, which I didn't know Wild Roots did until the moment I walked into that fine store. We have been drinking Wild Roots flavored vodkas for a few years, so this is a dangerous place for us to visit. Our host/bartender was super nice and engaging. We grabbed a Spirit flight - I tried all the bourbon and ryes and my wife had a cocktail flight. Needless to say we walked out with quite a few bottles of new rye, gin and bourbon. The coffee bourbon and orange + bergamot gin were the biggest surprises of the tasting, wow. There is a nice little seating area and bar. Cool spot to try some different spirits. Everyone in my group enjoyed what we thought were locally distilled spirits. I ended up buying a bottle of bourbon to take back to the campsite, and after opening it I see 'DISTILLED AND AGED IN INDIANA' on the bottle. Had I known that I would have passed. Walked by and saw their tasting menu in the window. Was surprised to see that they carried the vodka that one of my favorite Moscow mules is made with and figured we'd pop in and get a drink. Low and behold, this was the distillery and I didn't even realize it! Was greeted by the owner and she is one of the sweetest gals and their new employee in training, very nice fellow as well. They gave us a quick run down of the menu and how it worked and they offered us gluten free pretzels(which were great). We ended up getting a flight of five or six different vodkas which she gave an absolutely amazing description of each one. Highly recommend the Wild Roots cranberry vodka! Smooth and tasty. Next time I'm in town I definitely want to come back and try some more. read more

You must visit this small batch distillery in Sisters Oregon! I read about it in TripAdvisor under things to do in Sisters OR and put it on the top of my list for our day-trip to Sisters. We are not heavy drinkers of spirits but who can pass up a chance to support a local business and enjoy crafted distilled alcohol? We passed on the 2 set flights and instead ordered a custom flight of 6 tastes: South Sister Gin, Corn Vodka, Potato Vodka, Broken Top Bourbon, Marionberry infused Vodka and Pear infused Vodka. Each is unique and hand crafted and I particularly enjoyed the Bourbon- a smooth sipping bourbon and the pear infused Vodka- a not-too-sweet fresh pear Spirit. The Marionberry was too heavy and syrupy for my taste but it would do well in a mixed drink. Likewise for the Gin and Vodkas, they would be great in mixed drinks. Very enjoyable afternoon at the Cascade Street Distillery tasting room. Stop in when you're passing through Sisters OR or look for their products through their distributors. I bought their Broken Top Bourbon to enjoy at home. read more

This place is as cute as it gets. Definitely a hidden treasure on the main strip of Sisters, and I'm so glad I found it. If you're just visiting or a regular of Sisters and haven't been in yet, what are you waiting for? I was in town just for the weekend and stopped in twice, I liked it so much. My fam and I got a flight to try all the liquor and had some cocktails... the spirits are genuinely amazing. I'm a bourbon/whiskey girl and their bourbon is TO. DIE. FOR. My sister is a huge fan of the dark sweet cherry vodka and my mom loves the Marionberry if you're a flavored vodka person. We definitely walked out with a box of 6 or 7 bottles between the 5 of us (and some for our neighbors back home). Cascade street distillery is a sister company with wild roots -- if you have seen their bottles in the liquor stores or on restaurant menus more frequently. Although the liquor stores around town and surrounding states carry csd liquors, I have no doubt that broken top bourbon or north sister vodka will be extremely popular soon. Y'all have to try this place and Wild Roots and Cascade Street Distillery spirits out. read more

Just this week they released their peach infused vodka - and it's amazing!! I am without words of how good it is. We also tried the Marionberry vodka - delicious! I enjoyed this with lemonade. And last was the broken top whiskey which was fantastic. Can't wait for this distillery to come out with a rye whiskey. My next drink will be combining the whiskey with the peach vodka - splash of soda water and I think I have my new summer drink. read more

Very helpful knowledgeable staff. The bourbon is the smoothest I have tasted under $40. My wife loves the pear vodka. Their in cocktails are also very good. Bartender made the perfect Bloody Mary after I told her I liked it EXTRA spicy. My girlfriends and I were killing time in Sisters waiting for our significant other's to meet us for lunch. It was freezing outside so we popped into Cascade to get out of the cold. What a gem! We all ended up ordering multiple cocktails and each one was better than the last. I'm being completely honest when I say that these were the best cocktails I've ever had! I ordered the grey hound (fresh squeezed grapefruit juice!), Bloody Mary (ah-mazing!) and tasted my friends drinks - which I don't recall the name of, but I assure you they were incredible. The gin here is absolutely sublime. I have an extensive at-home bar that I keep stocked with the best spirits on the market; I'm also on a lifelong journey to travel to the world's best bars and restaurants. So I guess I thought I knew gin. But the one these guys serve was made with a level of love and wisdom that can only come from a smallbatch distillery and a distiller with incredible passion. This passion is as much for spirits as for capturing the essence of the local Oregon landscape (the lady serving us brought us out some of the cones and juniper, extracted from the local landscape, in which the gin had been steeping). I'm buying boxes of this gin. Oh, and the next time I go back to this distillery, I'll have to make it a point to taste the vodka and bourbon and other spirits they sell.... read more
