We were in the area as tourists, camping and enjoying the activities in the area. This is a cute little boutique style shop to check out. It has a cafe to grab some coffee, gut health drinks, or some food. I ordered a Chai Latte while my boyfriend tried one of their specialty health drink mixes. The staff was friendly and open to explaining what each mix does & the ingredients. I enjoyed my Chai Latte, but my boyfriend did not like his (I think mostly due to him not knowing he wouldn't like turmeric). Overall, cute little shop to stop in and check out! read more

Great spot to stop along the Mckenzie River! More of an upscale health food store than convenience so don't expect to get a bag of chips or candy. The food was great and came very quickly. Since I was here last, they definitely modernized/nice-ified this place. It's not really a market anymore. But there's a nice bar inside and tables and even an indoor bathroom now. The food menu is a little bit more creative (which isn't always a good thing), but they got rid of some of my favorite things like sliders and the beer cheese soup. This time I tried the nachos which were fine - a little skimpy on the meat and the chimichurri sauce was an odd addition that leaned more towards being a pesto and was quite oily. Also fried the chips and dip - the cheese dip was nice but the pico de gallo was definitely not pico de gallo. It was basically giardiniera and did not taste good. I also tried the burrito bowl. This was probably the best thing I tried. The salmon I added was very fresh and flavorful. The rice was quite tasty! It was by no means traditional Mexican tasting but it was still tasty. It needs to come in a bigger bowl or come mixed though. You order up front and the food is brought to you. The first time they forgot my beer. It always takes a long time to get food despite the menu being pretty small. Also I really wish they had actual breakfast. Saying you can add egg to a burger and that is "breakfast" doesn't count!! read more

This is a great place to stop on your way to the Cascades just a 45 minute drive out of Eugene. The store has some unique items for purchase and you can even pick up food for the road-trip or a picnic. They also prepare hot food. I had the salmon tacos which had a nice slaw and dressing. Daughter had a very large and tasty burger with poblano slices-delicious! The gal at the counter was pleasant and helpful and quick to serve our food! The store/restaurant was neatly arranged and clean. An added bonus was a quiet shepherd dog who was making his rounds! read more

We stopped here for some espresso and pulled pork nachos. And glad we did. Both were good, not exceptional but good in flavor and quantity. The espresso was hot. We were camping in the area and passed this little place on the way to get more booze up the road at the market. On our way back we passed it again and heard live music so we stopped. They ended up having a good looking menu for dinner so we decided to eat there. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich and I had a salmon sandwich and both were fabulous, especially after eating camp food for two days. We also had drinks and enjoyed live music for an hour. The service was good but the people working there didn't seem too friendly with the campers but it was memorial weekend so I understand they were probably slammed all weekend. Overall I would come here again if we drive past on another adventure. read more

Loveeeeee this place. We live in Eugene but come up river often. Anytime we do, we either stop here or the restaurant across the street. What I love about here is their outdoor area. The fire pit, cornhole, lights, heaters, music, lots of seating... it's just great & very relaxing. They have a good selection of stuff in the store, and then the restaurant has some pretty good food. My favorite thing is the beer cheese soup. After hiking blue pool this afternoon we decided to stop in and grab a quick bite with no real expectations. First positive is they allow in well behaved dogs in the courtyard. Second is the food is delicious, and very affordable considering the location on this place. I can imagine this place during the height of summer popping with people traveling to and back from Central Oregon. This store has it all...great organic bulk bins and items, conventional groceries, house-made salsa, sandwiches, and more. They carry the well known drinks and snacks as well as locally made food items. The beer and wine selection is extensive and the draft beer prices and quality cannot be beat up river. They offer hot food from an on site kitchen (once was a food truck) and the menu is growing. They offer wonderful seasonal fare, as well as, great standby's (burgers, wings, burritos and much more.) It can almost be overwhelming at first site, but the staff is friendly and will help you in any way they can. It is family friendly and dogs are allowed on a leash. If you haven't stopped, you must! It's the perfect little store for your weekend trip needs, after rafting brew and grub, and just a nice place to hang after a long day. read more

We came to MBGS/Obsidian Grill for dinner on a Friday night in April. The outdoor area is really great here. It was a bit cold for us to enjoy it, but we stayed in the heated covered area and that was just fine. We ordered the steak sandwich and the chicken sandwich, both with fries and a side of onion rings. The beer selection on tap is decent and local, whereas they don't have a soda fountain but you can buy whatever the "general store" has. The food was quick to come out and the staff was nice. The steak sandwich looked really messy but my husband said it was good, but not amazing. The chicken sandwich had the pieces of a great meal but wasn't superb. A generous amount of chicken and it was cooked very well, but there just wasn't a lot of flavor. The fries were good, came with a cajun-like seasoning. The onion rings were good as well, but again, not a whole lot of flavor. So the review is 3 stars because the food was just so-so, but the outdoor area, in good weather, would be fun! Awesome small grocery store in McKenzie Bridge. Great selection of beer, even have beer on tap. Cool outside seating area but the best part is probably what comes out of the kitchen. Holy hell this food is so damn good and honestly way better than what I was expecting considering where we are. We got kids burger (regular size-suggest share if kids small) and fries, the chicken green Chile sandwich which was amaze balls. Stop by this place. We eat there about every time we go up Hwy 126; you don't have to drive to Eugene or Sisters to find a good meal. What a surprise. Great place to stop and eat. Not only do they have beer on tap. Which we don't drink. But they have a gluten-free extensive menu. Wonderful food fresh ingredients. This place is awesome! Great place to stop along the McKenzie after a day of outdoor activities. The grille menu has a variety of choices, both in food and drink. The items we had were so delicious- kudos to the guy running the grille! The outdoor seating area and patio is a great place to spend some time - they have plenty of covered areas, lighting for ambience, and some outdoor games for the family. They clearly are updating the place and it looks incredible! Time and money well spent! The only downside is the port-o-potty's (not sure if permanent bathrooms will be available). read more
