I had called prior to my arrival and reserved 2 carts a 6 seater and a 4 seater for my sons bday weekend. When we got there they didn't have my 4 seater so we were out in 2 six seaters. I asked if we could get the carts with the plastic window and was told there weren't any available this was Saturday mid day. She said for me to check back that evening. So we go by there in the evening and asked if there were any cars with the window she looked at me like I was crazy while rolling her eyes she said no do you see any? So the next day since we rented the carts for two days 48 hours we came back Sunday morning and there were two carts with The plastic windshields I asked if we could get into those carts since it had been rainy and cold she said no someone else had reserve those carts and I could not have them. I asked her what about my reservation from two days before and she did not respond I Asked if there's anything we can do she said no. I even asked since it hasn't been less than 24 hours since I rented it can I get a refund for the additional day for both carts since the carts had no windshields and it was raining it was cold, she rudely told me no and said if I wanted to I could just leave them there and would not get any of my money back. So I had to use some ingenuity and I bought some Saran wrap from the local store there and created my own windshield. It actually worked quite nice but made their carts look much worse than they already do. I think there are the oldest cart place in Port Aransas I would recommend using the newer places, because I know they all have windshields and everyone in their carts were nice and dry and had smiles on their face as a road around in the warmth while my family and I were wet and cold and we're not given a refund. read more

Had a decent experience renting a golf cart for 2 days. We bargained on a price and were told they would not charge sales tax (because we mentioned an ad we saw) and also they would not charge for gas (tank was half full already). After a mutual verbal agreement on price, our card was charged a different amount after we returned the cart. They DID charge sales tax. Perhaps a written agreement would be best next time. I'll be checking around other places during our next trip. There are TONS of other beach cart places. read more

Good customer service, but terrible carts. I don't know if Bron's is having some maintenance issues, but this was our experience. Cart #1: It kept dying at inopportune moments so we traded it in for a new one. Cart #2: The oil light came on and it wouldn't start after the first couple of hours. Fortunately, it was in our driveway, and we're only a few blocks away so we walked back. They gave us a new one and said they'd swing by our address to pick it up. Cart #3: Ran fine the rest of the day, but the next morning it wouldn't shift into forward. It backed out of the driveway fine, but when we tried to go forward it refused to budge. Which was bad, because it happened on a busy street with oncoming cars. We pushed it back up into the drive and got #2 (which hadn't been picked up yet) started again. We drove back to the office to turn this one in and report the problem with #3. As a coda, a few days later, a random driver with a Bron's cart broke down in front of our house and had to be towed away. So why not one star? Because the young woman who took care of us at the end was unremittingly cheerful, friendly, and helpful despite being faced with two very clearly irate customers. She gave us a very fair discount based on our what we had been through and did everything she could to make us feel better about the experience. I doubt I will rent from Bron's again, but if they can bring their cart quality up to the level of their staff quality they deserve a second look. read more

Awful. Our cart didn'twork half the time, we barely made it back. We were very polite turning it in, but explained that we had problems with the cart. Bron, the owner, said he was sorry and then handed us 4 free snowcones......I just paid $185 for a golf cart that was experiencing issues for 7 hours, and you give me $5 worth of snowcones.....I don't even eat sugar. Our first time renting a beach cart from Port Aransas, we decided to check out Brons because it seemed like most of the beach carts rented from tourists were from Brons. We called several cart places and Brons was definitely the cheapest. We rented a 6 passenger cart from Brons for 24-hours for $150, definitely a great deal compared to other places. The service was really nice and Bron was even there introducing himself. Apparently they're open 24/7, which is also a good bonus. I definitely recommend! read more

Ok people. This is the Gulf Coast. Things rust but these guys have service and are friendly. Run by a bunch of young adults with good attitudes and remember our names. When we had cart trouble they replaced with a better one in 30 minutes. They have us a discount when we mentioned where we were stating. There is also a coupon in the local paper. We uses ours to tour the beach, since it had a beach permit and to go to the jetties and to dinner in town. All Texas laws for vehicles apply even seatbelts. Thanks Bron's! read more

Highly recommend renting a beach cart from Bron's. Their carts seem much nicer than the other rental companies. The staff was super nice. The beach cart made our vacation a blast. Once we had our cart we never drove our car again. Renting a beach cart is a Port A must and worth every penny. There is also a bar on site that you can actually order drinks to go. We got a party pack with a gallon of frozen margaritas. We took it to the beach - perfect! The margaritas were great. read more
