He made it sound like the problem was catastrophic and then told me to 'get it out' and park down the road, saying maybe he'd look at it in a few days, all while laughing. Also repeated "you cooked it". I left feeling embarrassed and disrespected. I then drove one minute away to another mechanic who inspected the car immediately and diagnosed the issue in under 10 seconds it was simply a broken belt. No customer deserves to be mocked or treated like a nuisance when they're worried about their vehicle. Extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend this business for anyone looking for an honest and respectful service.

**WORRIED ABOUT SAFETY OF FAMILY AFTER CAR SERVICE**…read more Car was serviced 6/5/2025 and charged $645 (including pink slip). They day after start-stop system error displayed as in pictures below. Returned to garage 09/5/2025 and told error due to 4 failing spark plugs (unlikely) and charged $830. (coincidentally needing replacement the day after a full service) 07/07/2025 oil Pressure (below picture) error appeared, I could not believe oil pressure could be low as just had serviced at Bondi Junction auto repairs (receipt including oil change below). when driving back from driving kids swimming lessons, car started making strange noises (FELT UNSAFE DRIVING CAR) and engine warning light came on, luckily pulled by on side of road next to autospares store. Checked oil dipstick and it was BONE dry, no oil to be felt on dipstick. Whilst kids crying in back of car we filled 2.5L of motor oil into the engine in half a litre lots. When we returned to express concerns the manager today we spoke to offered no apology or concern for what had happened after they had serviced the car. The manager spoken to today stated "you don't have proof" in a smug way. He offered to look at the car again but after a service costing $645 + $830 (return after service), I suggested they may not be the best business to be able to service or work out what was wrong with the car and I would take it to a known mechanic. (at cost to me) This business works in the automotive industry but does not even understand the basics of automotive safety and do not bat an eyelid if an issue they likely caused may results in engine failure. Asking for proof when things go wrong after a service is despicable, the onus I would have thought would be on the business to explain all the "coincidences", if they cant do that I must admit I've been taken for a ride (and not the fun kind!) Bring your car here for service or repairs AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

I think they must get confronted quite often as 3 of them behind the desk when on the offense as soon as I mentioned the bad reviews.... I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but really wish I hadn't. Won't be returning to this "business" and I'd suggest you avoid them too.

It was there for a very long time (which was frustrating) but full credit where it's due. They spent a lot of time exploring the issue, trying to solve the problem and repair the engine before concluding a new engine was required (seems the timing belt slipped causing irreparable damage). They kept me appraised along the way. They took responsibility for the whole thing including the diesel particulate filter which clogged up after the new engine was put in. It didn't cost me anything - repair warranty covered the lot. I'm not a mechanic - they could have told me it was a new thing and I wouldn't have known. They were dead honest. The manager, Bryce, was absolutely terrific. I could not commend him more highly alongside his team who are nothing but cheerful and helpful. They have secured my business for years to come.

I can't help but feel the space is much smaller than pre renovation however I didn't walk around to see where the rest was being utilised. My partners $19 schnitzel was enormous and the gravy ordered as extra was more than enough to cover. Curiosity was my main drive; choosing the South African hotdog. Sadly it wasn't a significant taste sensation to warrant attempting to make it sound 'exotic'. The tomato and onion relish was an uninteresting tomato pulp and you probably could have stuck any old sausage on the roll. As a local I would definitely come back for the value for money.

He came out and guided us with a torch when we called him saying we were a bit lost at a crossroad. He showed us around our room personally to make sure we felt right at home before settling in for the night. The breakfast basket we received had varieties of cereal, some fruit, different bread options for toast as well as jams, peanut butter, coffee and tea. There was a small kitchenette where we were able to prepare and store food that we brought from home. Ray even placed several bottles of his own wine in the room for us to consume. At $20 a pop they were cheaper than most of the other vineyards we visited and the Shiraz was beautiful. Was bummed he didn't have any non-chardonnay whites though. The sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable. It didn't dip in the middle and you couldn't feel the springs- two things I normally hate about sofa beds. The bathroom was huge and the spa bath could have fit all 3 of us. Even the bathtub had a beautiful view overlooking the vineyards if you opened the blinds. Only downfall in the room? The three of us could not stop sneezing the entire time. It didn't seem dirty or dusty but something in there was making our noses crazy. The floors didn't seem SUPER clean when walking on them with bare feet but it wasn't bad enough to complain about. There was a pool too which was part of the appeal when deciding where to book for our girls weekend getaway. We never even saw it though. We were out on a wine tour all day Saturday and the weather turned a bit sour on Sunday so instead of sunbathing we stuck to our balcony, ate cheese, crackers, dips, drank three bottles of wine and contemplated the meaning of song lyrics on my Mumford and Sons Pandora station. When you have all that, who needs a pool anyway? Our holiday weekend rates ran us about $300 per night. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive either and for what we got (and our view) we felt it was more than fair. Highly recommend this place and would definitely visit again next time I'm in the Hunter.

Run by Marie (Maureen?) our fantastic, hardworking hostess: these antique train carriages brought in from New Zealand proved to have a lot of personality. Some have a patio area -- some a small deck. there's even one you could really have a business retreat/meeting at. if you're not keen on the carriages, check out the guest house which sleeps 10 with it's two loft spaces. Enjoy a swim or a little tennis, or take a nice walk on the ground. located next to the bike rentals property, it would be great to rent a bike and find your way around hunter valley and 'home' to Krinklewood Cottages for a stay. highlights of our trip include a billion stars at night, two schnauzers and the pair of kangaroos we saw on our way back from dinner in town. if you're looking for something different, check out Krinklewood. :) Beware: there's no AC inside - though it cools down quick at night. Also: bugs! if you're a city slicker and/or not from Australia - this might not be the place for you. the ant are big. but outside only. bring mossie spray- just in case. Date of stay: 12/29-30/14
Pokolbin Village - A Corker Amounst The Wineries…read more I have chosen Pokolbin Village for me and my family to stay at in The Hunter Valley Wine Country (only two hours from Sydney) during the first week of January 2017, that is a 'four star' rating and I can understand why they have an amazing rating. The place is nicely displayed with a range of specialty shops and restaurant for your convenience with lots of parking spaces available. There are easy-to-find signs especially when you're trying to locate 'Reception' so you can check-in, get your keys, unload your gear and start your holiday as-soon-as-possible. Once we entered the reception area, we were greeted by a friendly staff straight away that made us feel welcomed. The receptionist asked where I was parked and then directed me with easy instructions how to get to the our 'self-contained' villa accommodation and we noticed that on the key-ring to our villa, there were adverts on it stating that you can receive discounts for participating on-site shops and some outlets when shown. I drove the short distance to our room without a problem and found nearby parking - oh... by-the-way, the specialty shops are not too far from the room we were staying at, just a short stroll. . When we entered our room, the air-conditioner was already on that gave us an instant relief from the heat we were experiencing - 39 degrees Celsius (102.2 Farenheit). The facilities were conveniently located near the rooms - swimming pool, BBQ facilities, tennis court and boules court and on top of that, free wifi. We made great use of the swimming pool and BBQ facilities with nearby table and seats so you can enjoy your meal outdoors with the natural, non-pollutant country air. Pokolbin Village is only minutes away from all major attractions and event locations.
