I called and a gentleman told me that the games began at 5:30 and the next game would be 7:15pm. I drove 45 minutes with my boyfriend to come, called - and they had said they close the doors at 5:45, and a game would be going on tomorrow at 7:15. I felt really upset because of the distance and false information. I feel that it's shady that they won't leave the doors open for people to come in to play Bingo. I found this to be disappointing. Second experience: The staff here is extremely friendly. The coffee, tea and concession stand is surprisingly good. Visitors were friendly. Please keep in mind that the regulars have their spots so beware. Wish they would tell how much the jackpot is before each game. Prices are reasonable. Crowd is very diverse :) I liked this. If you have any allergies - please keep in mind that people smoke in here. They are not suppose to but like many halls, they do. Wish they really enforced this rule because I suffer from allergies. Wish they would be fun when they yell out the numbers. I think it would make BINGO that much better ;)

The greatest part is, each branch has a distinct flavor and culture unique to it's surrounding neighborhood. I've been to many, but this one in the heart of the heights is one that will always have a place in my heart. I spent many unemployed months in this place, trying to win enough money to support myself. The scene here is much like the neighborhood, predominately Dominican. Most of those, elder, retired or disabled. The OTB itself is pretty standard, a wide open space with televisions lining every wall, and a ticket counter with a handful of booths. This OTB has the added bonus of a soda machine in the venue, plus it's located inside the GW bus terminal, so there are other small stores right outside. The staff of OTB is notoriously abrasive and unhelpful, and this branch is no exception. The good thing is, there are three ticket machines where you can buy your tickets so you don't have to deal with the staff unless you need to cash out a winner. In the event you cash out a big winning ticket, walk straight for the door ignoring the GA dropouts and losers trying to sell you frozen TV dinners from their mothers freezer for a cut of your earnings.

Most important feature - good people. While summer is a huge season at the Racquet Club, the "offseason" is exciting as well. From kids events like Halloween Party, Breakfast with Santa, Valentine's Day and weekly playgroups to adult events like Holiday Cocktail Party, Chili and Cheesecake Contest, Super Bowl and St. Patrick's Day, there is always something "cooking" at the Club. He loves to start arguments and pick fights with people. He seems to enjoy belittling people and bragging about how much money he spends. Because he is often smoking pot in his trailer, he sometimes yells at people using his trailer's PA system. As of writing, the photos shown on this yelp page are inaccurate. The track was modified 3 years ago, and is about 2/3 the size of what the first few photos show. There is no longer any artwork on the track.

Signs everywhere saying you need to pay and have a helmet. I have come here dozens of times and shocked by people's behavior and then reactions when they get screamed at. People try to sue these types of places weekly and you wonder why they flop out when you walk right by a large sign...! The dirt park is pretty intense and it's rad to watch the guys shred. The paved pump tracks are awesome for all levels of biker and skater. I got to watch some 3-6 year old shred. Personally can spend a couple hours there easily and if it's slow all day as lines are endless. Sign a waiver and pay 5$ .... a coffee is more. I couldn't believe it was so cheap. They have board and bike rentals again 5$ per hr.
