7/10 Vrbar is a great way to try out virtual reality. It's more convenient than some of the other VR arcades the have sprung up but may offer a few less experiences. The gear is new and there were very few tech issues. You can reserve a station by the hour and share playtime amongst a group. If you reserve two stations then you can play multiplayer. The staff is helpful and ensures you don't get lost in the game or run into any walls or equipment. The space is small with only a few stations so I would recommend calling and reserving ahead of time. Excellent for group events. It takes about 5-10 minutes for someone to get used to playing if they have never played VR before. read more

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the staff and got checked in. I'm a youtuber so the staff let me film and take pictures. The worker even offered to film for me which was great! The place is very clean with A/C. Also the staff explains how to put the headset on, the controllers & what they do, and explains how to play every game. I am a huge fan of VR Bar. I love having a local place to experience VR that is not overwhelming or intimidating to come in to. The vibe is low key and free flowing, and has a ton of options to experience on really great equipment. I was interested in trying but had mostly only experienced Cardboard versions of VR, until I found VR Bar, then I realized how cool and truly unique it is to watch and play VR activities with proper gear. I cannot say enough how fun any of the games with Archery components are. Try these games! I have since put VR Bar into my rotation of fun places to take out of towners. It has been a total hit for all ages. My older sisters who thought they couldn't cared less, had a blast with the Sweet Escapes game. My dad loved Google Maps experience and the game where you walk out on a plank. I've brought nieces, aunts, cousins, all are fans. Even one of my teenage nieces who hadn't smiled the whole day, despite trying hard to entertain her, came away laughing and loving the unique experience of VR here. VR Bar does VR right, in an approachable setting with a knowledgeable staff and reasonable prices. I even convinced my boss to throw a party at VR Bar for our department! I think it's going to be a perfect space for our group to hangout and have fun together. Email them ahead of time if you're coming with a large group, the personal feel that they offer does mean that they need aheads up to plan for large groups, but it's worth it! read more

THIS PLACE IS AWSOME. From the outside, it doesn't really look like much - a few TV's and people waving weirdly with head sets on. But you go in and put on a headset and it instantly transports you into another world. Management is really friendly and does a great job of walking you through everything. Overall it is a great concept. Management is very poor to say the least. I went in with a group of friends and were treated very poor, the owner pretty much kicked us out because it was busy. We specifically asked to play a zombies game and he placed us in a machine that didn't have the game. Hope this changes. read more

This place DO NOT like kids at all! We went there with 4 kids today, the person at the store made them feel so unwelcome. He asked us to leave because he has to take an "important" phone call. Never again! The most uncouth and rude host I have ever come across my entire life!! I am beyond appalled how you can run a business in NYC not knowing how to speak and deliver instructions to a child. My son loved coming here on long holidays all the way from NJ. Unfortunately today there was an Indian guy hosting the place and he just thoroughly ruined our experience. I'm too tired to even get into the mechanics of our experience but I know that I will never support a place that doesn't know how to communicate with a child. And then there was absolutely no one in there but he kept counting the minutes like 4 minutes 2 minutes 1 minute. I mean, we've been to several arcades and I have never seen anyone this rude. I mean we were ready to stay more and pay more, what the heck!!! I didn't say anything much because I wanted my son to enjoy and I certainly didn't want to stoop down to his level, but thanks for places like Yelp! At least I can voice my opinion and save someone 15 bucks for 15 minutes with him counting right behind your ear! One last thing. I have never ever given a review like this and I hope this will be my last BUT It's not very difficult talking to people without yelling especially when you have an excited young customer coming in for the holidays and wanted to continue coming back with friends.
