I'm not a fan of vegan food, but I found the Fiesta Wrap at Mariano's to be very flavorful and…read morespicy, as advertised. I'm not exactly sure what the deal is with the other two Yelpers who gave the company/wrap such a low score. If you are looking for something that is made with REAL, non-processed food then you're going to pay for it and that is anywhere. If you aren't a "spicy food" fan then perhaps something that is advertised as "spicy" isn't the item for you. Overall, Moon Meals is still a start-up company and constructive feedback -- emphasis on constructive -- will surely help them improve. So, go try one for yourself and if it isn't up to your liking, provide the company with some good feedback that they can actually use.

This was horrible. Our entire office had one thing to say: Never order again…read more The Food: Mediocre. I love eating healthy and I have come across places with great healthy options that do not sacrifice taste, Moon Meals was not one of them. Very unsatisfying. The Price: It's easy to charge as much as you want when you are dealing with corporate credit cards. My office, on the other hand, did not have such luxury. As a group, we decided we would use our own money to support local black business. Let me just put it this way, we got $10 worth of food but paid $20 + tax. So disappointing. We were so thrown off when we received one tiny tray of fajitas for 4 people. Surely it had to be a mistake but when we called Moon Meals their response was: Portion Control with absolutely no effort to try and correct anything. This was ridiculous. Never again.

In my honest-to-God opinion, I don't think there's anywhere on the planet, could compare to or is equivalent to what is done, accomplished and shared at this garden.

Nevertheless, I want to share the goodness that Sweetwater shares with the community, so here goes! As you can see from the pictures, there is an abundance of verdant goodness being grown here, and a portion of it is free to the community and general public for the picking. Apparently, there is also a farmer's market of sorts with very reasonable prices on Saturdays around noon-ish. I first learned of the Sweetwater Foundation during my undergrad years when the director was one of my Community Development professors. SWF is all about regenerative social justice, and does awesome work teaching aquaponics, urban agriculture, and the like to inner-city students. Anyhoo, I was looking for organic greens for a client, and a friend directed me here. Upon arriving, I saw the plethora of veggies growing, but couldn't locate a soul! I called my friend back, because I knew I had to be in the right place. I didn't, however, know how/who to pay, or just how to go about procuring my goodies. I was told to merely pick what I needed and keep it moving. How amazing is that?!
