I had told my daughter Samantha about Isabella Grace after reading several reviews of other…read morepeoples' experiences. From the moment we stepped inside the shop we felt relaxed and at ease (especially after a negative experience elsewhere). The fact that we had an area to ourselves and a welcoming drink made us all feel at home and individual. Sally looked after us so well and we all felt her passion for her job. She took time to listen to what Sam's likes and dislikes where which wasn't easy as my daughter hates fuss and attention. She chatted away to all of us, listening to the wedding plans and how they had met, which was lovely. Sally picked out a dress which my daughter would not have originally thought of but when she put it on we all knew 'this was the one'. As a mum I felt Sally was like an old friend and we could be honest with her. Up until now I had not been emotional... but let's just say we owe you a box of tissues!! After trying a few others, just to be sure Sam tried THE dress on again, I am biased of course but she looked amazing in it. Sam initially did not want a veil but Sally tried it and it all came together. Perfection! I can't thank Sally and everyone there enough and I am so looking forward to seeing her in the dress again. If you are looking for a unique service and the perfect dress, please go to Isabella Grace, you wont be dissapointed.

Best bridal boutique in Kent if not the UK!…read more I want to start by saying how perfect Isabella Grace was and how at ease they made me feel from start to finish. When I turned up to my appointment with my Mum, Sister and Best friend I was a nervous wreck! From the moment I walked though the door I was greeted with friendly, helpful and attentive staff. I really wish I could remember the name of the wonderful lady who helped me. She was really understanding and got to grips with what I wanted quickly. She asked me what sort of wedding I was having and asked me a little about myself and what ideas I had before I arrived. We then went downstairs to look at certain designers she felt encompassed my requirements. We picked 4 presses together then she picked a 'wild card'. Once back upstairs I tried on all the dresses and found 'The One' in dress 2! It was funny as the dress I chose was the dress I thought I would like the least. The ladies commented that if they had a pound for every time they heard that! I don't want to give it all away but I wanted to explain that last bit because I thought it was just so stress free and completely took the anxiety of being faced with so many dresses away. The sales advisor clearly knew each individual dress so only pulled out dresses she knew I would like. It was just a really professional and fun experience. I just want to say thank you to Isabella Grace for making the experience so special and a day I wont forget, I just cant wait to put my dress on again!

Gaynes Park - The lovely Orangery...you can get married in here! Or the gather barn.

Fell in love with it straight away. I'll even tell you a little secret...I knew instantly I had to marry here because of two, slightly embarrassing reasons. Here goes. One, there is a fairy lit bandstand/gazebo in the gardens...which is VERY Twilight (Bella and Edward) prom scene. Secondly. Ahem. They had the chairs I liked/wanted...which are the chairs the characters in tv show O.C. always used to use when they had their formal parties. Fact. I'm not ashamed. Lol. The venue is just perfect. They add to it all the time with cool new ideas and findings. Its set in Epping, complete with London Skyline views (they now even have a lookout for wedding photos!!) There's the orangery for ceremonies, which can be set up so you have a garden 'aisle'!! I did that and it is honestly the happiest, most beautiful memory of my life (so far). The walled gardens are well loved, beautiful and just floral picture perfectness. There's the Apple Loft where the couple can stay/bride can get ready which is too cute. I wanted to pick it up and plonk back in Rickmansworth. So well thought out. All mod cons too. Swoon. You can also marry in the Gather barns too, we used here for group shots as was such a bright, low-sun day. Winner. And then the Barns themselves. So lovely. With mezzanine floor, full bar, separate dance area. Win win win. Rumours have it they are renovating the 'stables' to provide guest accommodation. Form an orderly queue and book your weddings now ladies/gents. Don't get me started on the food. I could boast about our wedding food all day long. EVERYONE has mentioned it. It is soooo delicious. Everything we ordered was fab.Canapes were lush. Everything we tried at the tasting evening (where you meet other couples getting wed there!!) was great. How do they mass produce the same meal all to such a high standard? Gob smackingly good. The staff our lovely. I was thrilled with everything Jayne and Natalie did leading up to and on our day. Can I please relive my wedding here? Please?!

Quite a few of my friends have got married recently (and we have four more weddings to attend this…read moreyear) so I'm sort of getting used to wedding weekends! We attended a ceremony and reception at Gaynes Park, and it was lovely...I have no idea how much it costs (I assume it'll be scarily pricey) but it is a really pleasant place to visit as a guest! Location: - It is sooo pretty! The blossoms were all in bloom and the gardens are simply lovely. - If you'd like a long aisle to parade down in your dress...the lead in to the orangery is epic! The bride walked down the whole way through the gardens while everyone whispered about how gorgeous she looked. - It was really easy to get to for guests (a few minutes drive from Epping tube station...) Food: - Om nom nom... The food was gorgeous! I was really impressed that they managed to keep it consistently delicious when cooking for sooo many people. I heard a couple of grumbles from some male relatives that were still a bit hungry, but I thought the portions were good - I was stuffed!! - The only thing that was a bit rubbish was the pimms that they served right after the ceremony... I think they might have used tonic water rather than lemonade and it had sat around too long so all the ice melted to leave terrible watered down non-pimms! Ah well.

Full disclosure: I *blooming* love the owner of this business (Lisa) she was a bridesmaid at my…read morewedding and is one of the loveliest girls I know...however she is also an artistic genius when it comes to flowers, so she would deserve 5 stars (or even 25,000 stars) even if I didn't know what a sweetie she is. Weddings: I have seen Lisa's be-autiful work many times, so there was never any question that she'd be in charge of my wedding flowers. She is a pleasure to work with, and this is why: - She is more organised than I could ever be...so she helped guide me and gave awesome suggestions (with the help of pinterest) - I had a vague idea of what I thought'd look pretty, but she took my ideas and improved them until my wedding venue looked amaaazing. Her flowers made the dusty old barn (wedding venue) look fresh, and smell lovely. - My bouquet (and my bridesmaid bouquets) were sooo gorgeous! - She even made a flower chandelier(!) - She loves vintage pots and glasses so her flower arrangements don't look formal or boring. I loved that! - She gets the most beautiful flowers! Seriously my light blue delphiniums and peachy pink roses were perfect. Also, she managed all this why also being a bridesmaid. This lady is a multitasking queen! Flower workshops: Recently Miss Victoria's Floral Emporium has moved to a new studio in East Dulwich, and I was lucky enough to attend one of her first floral crown making workshops. It was such a giggle! I got to make friends with a lovely group of ladies over tea and cake, and then Lisa showed us all how to make beautiful headdresses. I'll upload some photos so you yelpers can get the idea... Our workshop yesterday was a special (free) trial, but I think this would be SUCH a cool thing to do on a hen party, or a birthday...or just for fun if you have creative, flower-loving friends. She has loads of different workshop options, so take a peek: http://www.missvictoriasfloralemporium.co.uk/#!workshops/c1d7x If you live in south London, you should definitely visit...and if you live north of the river like me, it is still worth getting on a train to visit this calm and pretty studio.
