I was pretty disappointed when I took a big bite of my slice of cake, the bottom layer was dry and crumbly (either it was old or over baked) but the top layer was okay. I had asked for the icing to not be so sweet, but I guess they use pre-made tub frostings because it was as sweet as Betty Crocker's store bought icing. I asked for whipped cream cheese frosting, but she said they didn't do that type of frosting. I have had so many people rave about this bakery, and their store actually looks very nice and well kept. There are several beautiful cakes on their websites as well. Maybe I just got a bad cake, I don't know, but I expected better from a bakery that came with so many high recommendations.

Their case was almost wiped out, the person working let us know the previous day had been slammed and they don't bake on Saturdays (understandable). However, they still had several delicious looking cupcakes to choose from. We grabbed four of the brownie cheesecake and some of the chocolate surprise ones. I had one of each by weekend's end and both were great. The icing on both is phenomenal and the cake was really good, a bit denser on the brownie one but that worked for that cupcake style in particular (though not a "fudgey" dense). Prices were super fair--less than $20 for 6 quality cupcakes from a bakery.
