I took some time to process my experience and after reading similar reviews feel the need to post…read moremy own. Recently at my annual appointment I was waiting to use the restroom which faces the support staff cubicles. The wait was rather long as there is only one restroom. I had the "privilege" of overhearing how they feel about their clients. "Oh, I hate the perimenopause ones- IM FAT AND HAVE SYMPTOMS BUT I DONT WANT TO GO ON MEDICATION AND GAIN MORE WEIGHT". "THE NEWBIE GYNES ARE SO CUTE WITH THEIR STIs." I was stunned. I went to the restroom, came out, and Dr. Plawyer's nurse was waiting for me. I told her of the incident and she said "I'm sorry to hear that" and then went over my med list and medical history while I'm on the verge of tears. I finally stood up and said "I'm leaving." I did receive a voicemail apologizing and saying it was addressed. However, as a nurse for the past 10 years I understand on a deeper level that the comfort they felt talking about patients at work indicates a culture of not respecting their patients. When we go to the doc we want to feel heard, be taken seriously, and be met with empathy and assistance. I no longer believe this happens at this clinic. Find a clinic that doesn't mock their patients.

Took me multiple requests, over a period of more than 3 years to get my medical records transferred to my new doctor, which were finally transferred as of this year, 2025. Good Lord. What a frickin joke. Please, please, don't waste your time there. See previous review by me if you want the full story.

Words will never do justice, however she was an integral part of our blessed family. Right from the start Dr. Coulam was open and honest with all of her assessments which she clearly articulated for us. While we had several setbacks along the way, those only made Dr. Coulam more motivated to find a solution for us (which thankfully she was successful with!). We know most doctors would not go through the lengths that Dr. Coulam did for us. When faced with each new challenge Dr. Coulam would reassess the situation as well discuss protocol options with all of her colleagues within the practice as well as externally. For example, after several frustrating rounds after our first child, Dr. Coulam began to research several new experimental options, this drove her to consult with doctors in Spain, Italy and France. Not only did she present us with all of our options but also provided the research behind these options so that we were able to make an informed decision that we were most comfortable with. She would take the time to speak with us and answer all of our questions, her calming demeanor was very welcomed in these times. We also have a deep gratitude to our amazing nurse Tracey. Over the years that we were working with RMI we got to know her extremely well and she was always encouraging, helpful, thoughtful and readily available on the phone or email (no matter how silly our questions may have been). She is compassionate and caring during a time that was full of emotions. We highly recommend Dr. Coulam and nurse Tracey if you are seeking help in starting your family.

If I could give Dr. Warner 100 stars, I would in a heartbeat. After having a completely terrible…read moreexperience with another OB very early in my pregnancy, I went online and googled "best OB in Evanston" Dr. Warner was at the top of the list. After reading a bunch of other reviews, I switched my insurance over to her and never looked back. She is knowledgeable, patient, responsive, honest, and every other positive thing you'd look for in an OB. I was almost 3 months pregnant at our first visit and reeling from my previous terrible experience with Dr. Herriges and his practice (that's a whole other story - feel free to read that review if you want to know what not to look for in an OB). She answered all of my questions, helped my icky feelings fade away, and put my mind at ease in a matter of 15 minutes. She helped me get my very limited medical records sent over, reviewed my results from those tests and let us know that everything was going well thus far in a matter of days. Throughout my pregnancy, she never cancelled an appointment, was extremely communicative, and kept me confident that we could totally do this. Her office has a nurse available to answer questions M-F and they call you back promptly with answers to your questions, no matter how silly the questions may seem. On to my delivery, which was unplanned to a degree. Our babe was breech, and we tried spinning babies exercises, moxa, acupuncture, and nothing worked. We made the decision to try ECV, for which Dr. Warner referred us to a MFM specialist. On the day of the procedure at 37 weeks and 2 days, things did not go as planned that Dr. let us know we would delivering that day and that Dr. Warner knew and she'd be over as soon as she finished with one other patient. Holy. Crap. Well, Dr. Warner arrived, made sure we understood what was happening, walked me into the OR, soothed my frazzled psyche with some deep breaths and her ultra calm demeanor, and we were on our way. Dr. Warner truly is the best OB in Evanston, at least she is the best one for me. I absolutely adore her and her team!

She was so friendly, warm, and intuitive. It was my first time seeing a chiropractor, I was slightly nervous and def had many misconceptions about a chiropractor. But the whole experience was super positive. Her office is very comfortable and she has many resources. I love that she combines many different techniques and really customizes them to your needs. She is very knowledgable. During the session, she applied gentle pressure and pointed out some tight spots, which with some manipulation, felt much better after. I was pleasently surprised. She kept checking the baby to make sure it was moving and that she wasn't making me uncomfortable. Im keeping my fingers crossed that this baby turns, I've even scheduled a second session to prepare for my next ultrasound to check the baby position. A huge plus is she accepts insurance... go see her, she will help you!

My assumption was that most couples in our position, armed with little more than the storied pastimes of birds and bees, set about creating the family of their dreams the old fashioned way. When it became clear that we would need some help from science, our research led us to Dr. Anne Borkowski and her team at North Shore Fertility... angels whose lasting impact on our fertility journey could never be put sufficiently into words. How do you begin to thank... ...a doctor who makes herself available at a moment's notice to respond with exactly what you need to hear, when 8 rounds of in vitro fertilization (IVF) are taking an emotional toll? ...a doctor who walks out to the parking lot in the snow to update your husband on the success of a given procedure, when a global pandemic prevents him from joining his wife in the office? ...a nurse who regales you with her hopeful story of an egg and sperm getting all dressed up for a very important date, when she knows that the rollercoaster is almost too much to bear? ...a team that sends you home with a nebulous ultrasound photograph of a transferred pre-embryo, when it may be the only thing that gets you through the coming days?
