We moved here a couple years ago, and we loved Brookdale immediately. First off, Theresa, our landlord, is super nice, and she's pretty good about responding to any questions pertaining to property/maintenance. The amenities here are fantastic! The pool's at a great temperature, the jacuzzi's so relaxing, the weight room's a little small, but has quite a variety of equipment for whatever your workout routine is, and the sauna is great! Though we haven't used the barbecues here, the grass area where they're stationed is a beautiful place to walk through. The sense of community here at Brookdale is phenomenal! read more

We lived in Brookdale for almost 10 years and absolutely loved our time here. We had to move due to new jobs. Mr Lu, Mr Luis, and Teresa were so helpful, attentive, friendly. We had very few issues but ones that we did have were resolved quickly with the highest quality. Our apt was modern, spacious, and had tons of light. We always felt safe and the surrounding neighbors were quiet and friendly. The apt amenities were amazing and perfect for our small family - a nice big outdoor area, children's playground, swimming pool, gym and grill area. The apt location was very convenient and walking distance to boba and a very lovely bakery. A short drive away were nice restaurants and shopping area. The apt is within the district of the best schools and daycares of the bay area. Overall Brookdale is a fantastic place to call home. read more

I've been here over 3 years now and it's been phenomenal. Everyone who works here is very friendly. Amenities are great. Gym, pool, sauna are great. The apartment had all new appliances when I moved in and I love the balcony. Apartments are actually very quiet, too, provided how close it is to Stevens creek and 280. Really don't notice the sound. Had an absolutely wonderful time at Brookdale. It is the perfect apartments in the suburbs. It is the most quiet, and peaceful neighborhood I have been in. It is well-maintained, good neighborhood with safety, and the apartment is taken care of properly. Theresa as our community manager is amazing! Not only herself, but all her staff are awesome too. You feel safe and valued here! Complex by itself is beautiful. Wooden carpet, all kitchen and bath appliances are the best quality! They even paint one side of living room wall for you if you like! There are well equipped gym, super duper clean pool and dry sauna, and jacuzzi!!! The outside environment is gorgeous and can't describe it over here! The only thing If you want to imagine would be a green grass with an outdoor seats next to 2 barbecues, 4 new built Cabanas m, and you have Cornhole Courts to play with friends and family plus an area for up to 4 year kids! Parking is secured by camera and whole complex is gated. Rules are followed by each residents and Theresa does provide and manage very well in any aspects. 10 out of 10 read more

I would love to put 5* and I would definitely do it. BUT... I lived here for 2 years and when I moved in there was an amazing manager and we felt there like at home. Than managers changed twice and community became worser and worser. And the last drop was our moving out. Mike Pavlos from the management company is one of the disrespectful persons I had ever met. Dishonest, rude. He tried to charge from us for their mistake. Unfortunately our moving out ruined all good memories about that community and leaving there. read more

I lived here for one year and I would recommend it. I had a sizable yard for my dog who was allowed to live here. I think the apartments are spacious and modern and I loved being able to paint one of my walls an accent color (they did it for me). When something was broken or needed attention, it was fast and well done. The maintenance folks are amazing. The leasing managers were always replying fast. It is apartment living so there are the normal things the come along with apartment living in any complex. I loved that a code was required to get into the actual apartments providing security. I also loved the amenities like the Sauna especially. I will miss living here, I am leaving to go move with my mom but I would very much come back to this complex! read more

I lived in Brookdale for over 8 years across multiple different managers, and I can say nothing but the best about this place. It is conveniently located between two plazas, very close to the new Apple office. During all my time here, the place was constantly improving - I witnessed two parking lot re-pavements, installation of package lockers, code door locks, gym and spa renovations. I have been looking to move in December & I came across the Brookdale Apartments. I gave them a call and was warmly greeted by Theresa who told me they currently have availability. She insisted I stop by to check out the amenities & see what they had to offer. I stopped by the same day & was pleasantly surprised. Great area, & extremely clean grounds. Theresa was so welcoming & informative when providing me with a tour. I had a lot of questions and she provided the answers & feedback I needed. I am currently still in the search for my new home in December but as of right now Brookdale is at the top of my list. read more

The area is fantastic, easy accces to highways, walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants around and the best part is close to Apple shuttle and Santana Row. A lot of improvements are going on since new manager Tatiana took over. She is always helpful and professional. I like the well maintained landscaping, clean and heated pool open year round, dry sauna and outdoor lounge with fire pit and free wifi. They even have security that patrols the complex day and night. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is moving to the area. read more

Let me clarify that one star is for ACCO Management who owns Brookdale, Ben Ho and his team deserve 5 stars for maintaining the old property. I lived in Brookdale from Feb 2017 to Oct 2017. They offered a 6month lease which was very attractive. Considering how old the apartments are, the rent is higher. My stay was decent, the nightmare started 21 days after I moved out and got the final settlement from the gentleman at Acco. $1000 bill for cleaning..!! So basically they hold back the $500 deposit and also charged me ~$500 above that. We did a basic cleanup of the apartment and it had some wear and tear but let me list what they charged: 1. Apartment cleaning: $270.00 2. Carpet REPLACEMENT! : $208.96 3. Painting (9hrs@$40/hr): 279.83 (ACCO Management was generous enough to bear $80.17 - Thanks ACCO) 4. Painting materials: $58.61 5. Carpet cleaning (first they clean and then replace!) : $100.00 6. Blinds Replacement: $82.02 7. Utility charges: 208.64 One might argue that the apartment must've been left filthy and completely trashed. Thats far from the truth. I have attached pictures of the apartment which were sent to my by ACCO so these were taken after we moved out. The walls show some marks, something that is easily removed by a couple of magic market sponges $6 + 1-2 hours of labour. They charged me for 9 hours of painting They charge for cleaning + carpet cleaning and then decide to replace the carpets (in both rooms mind you). However the nice gentleman at ACCO reminded me that since the pictures of the "dirty" carpet in one room were dark, they will waive the charges for that room. Wow..! nice folks I must say..! Since the apartment was not completely clean, I agreed to pay 100% of the cleaning charges and Utility which is my responsibility anyways + 50% for carpet cleaning since there were some spots. So I agree to pay $528 which is very reasonable. ACCO came back with multiple emails full of legal jargon and gentle threats that this is the law and they have the right to report this to a collection agency but since they are nice and considerate, they want to settle this via emails! Since I protested the exorbitant charges, they rewarded me my reducing the amount payable by ~$325. But I still have to pay $884 for cleaning after a stay of 9 months. Also beware of mold issues in this apartment. I had some mold in the bathroom which Ben helped fix but our neighbors had to get a complete treatment done which lasted weeks. Another family also had severe mold issues and they could not use one of the bedrooms during winter due to the smell. The mold keeps coming back. There are no gates, so security is non-existent, thankfully I never had any issues during my stay. I am posting the pictures un-edited and as ACCO has sent them. Please decide for yourself if this is worth the price being charged and the nightmares you face after move out. Sorry Ben Ho and team but you have been let down by ACCO. Brookdale Apartments are amazing. My friend invited me to some resident event today and I enjoyed their Fiesta. The food was good and all neighbors seemed to be so friendly. I never seen before any landlord to organize such free and delicious events at the community. The manager was so nice and caring. While serving food and helping around, she was able to talk to each of resident and pay attention to everyone. I like such lovely parties and hope that I can attend another one soon! read more

A hidden gem in San Jose! The view out of my window are tall beautiful redwood trees. The entire complex is equally breath-taking, well maintained landscape, and different flowers blooming each season. This has became the most enjoyable things to have in the year 2020. In the 5 years we live here, I see the care and thought this management has put in. They constantly renovate and upkeep the facility, like new package lockers, new spa/sauna, new gym equipments, clean pool to name a few. Tatiana and her maintenance crew are simply excellent. The order requests were completed promptly. Tatiana is so easy to communicate with. Their hard work is truly what makes Brookdale living so pleasant and memorable!! read more

I tried to search out many times for simmer quality around just because I need one more bedroom but we did not find any similar quality (trust me). Many good things that I can not name all but this apartment is all about clean, organized, maintained and 5 starts facilities and very friendly neighbors. If you have kids then your kids will attend highly rated Cupertino district schools. The only bad thing that if you need to move out later you can not easily find other communities with the same quality (expectation will be higher). finally, we would like to thank Titania and her team for the amazing work they are doing to keep these apartments a beautiful place that we called home. read more

I just signed another year lease because I love this place! After living in 10 states, and renting quite a few places over the past several years, I can tell you that Brookdale is the best because it's quiet, safe, and the grounds are beautiful & well cared-for. The workout equipment, pool, and laundry facilities are kept clean & well maintained at all times. They just recently went through and replaced all the sliding doors with new ones & installed A/C units in the lower level apartments, not that we'll need it with the shade we get from the beautiful redwood trees, but it's nice to have just in case! If you ever have a problem, the apartment complex manager is very quick about getting things resolved in a friendly manner. I wholeheartedly give Brookdale 5 stars!! read more

I have lived at Brookdale Apartments for over 13 years. Why? Because I love it here. The grounds are beautiful with lots of magnificent trees towering above the well manicured lawns and the brilliant colors of the flowers and shrubs. There are people attending these every weekday and they keep them looking perfect. The units are spacious with very nice enhancements like beamed ceilings and built in the wall bookcases. If there is a problem it is attended to the next day by the friendly maintenance workers. All fire and carbon monoxide detectors are checked and batteries replaced yearly (maybe it's 6 months??). Since I've been here I have gotten a painting, new counters and new appliances. It's quiet, clean and beautiful to look at. What more can you ask for? I love it here!! Michael read more
