Honestly this place is terrible no words can explain how bad it is. I wouldn't even give it a one…read morestar. The staff is overworked, underpaid, hard-work goes unnoticed and unappreciated. Management is terrible, they expect all these expectations/high quality services from staff and employees but cant seem to notice that they're over working us. We are so tired trying to keep up with the pace of the work load. Doing our very best in every possible way to provide the best quality care for our residents. We love our job, thats why we tend to stay here so long and work for our residents. Please higher more people to put on the floor or give us a raise. So it seems like our work is actually worth something because the work load and pay isn't balanced. Additionally, instead of providing all these educational learning resources, because of how many warnings this building has gone through. Maybe we should look at why it even happened that way in the first place. Because literally everything we do is in a time crunch, of course accidents are bound to happen. Like it would be nicer if you hired more people to work, the work will be evenly distributed. There would be less of a rush and for things to be done correctly/accurately. But that int a topic y'all are ready to talk about because we know y'all can afford to hire more people to work but choose not to. Lastly, standing up for staff and employees. We are usually the first people to get accused of something and not even our own employer stands up for us. Which is why so many people leave. For example, one staff member that used to work there was accused of abusing a resident and was interrogated by police officers. After the interrogation they literally begged her to stay and work because they were so short staffed. When she was supposed to go on leave due to the allegations, and for an investigation. It was probably so traumatic for her but they just expected her to continue working. When her livelihood was on the line. Which just demonstrates that there is no support for their staff and employees. So furthermore, do a better job, there is a lot of improvements that need to be made. Im even surprised this place is still running and operating when administration is doing bare minimum and it just trickles down to all of us.

The ladies are all amazing and nice, very understanding of schedules and the fact we can create our own schedule is great. I need two full time jobs and this place allows me to work a full time position while working another full time job. The training was great and they seem to really care about their workers. I would choose BrightStar care any day and every day! They don't make it a big issue if you call in sick and check in on you to see how you're feeling. Its a very organized company and I feel as if Ill never have a complaint. They are a great resource for my resume as well. I LOVE BRIGHTSTAR CARE OF ST CROIX LAKE ELMO!

**UPDATE - NOT REMOVAL**…read more If I could give NEGATIVE STARS, I would. I came here to recover after surgery. Healthy medical recovery may not be possible here. Within minutes of arriving, I wanted to leave. The place is a typical, dump-like nursing home that you see on "Dateline Investigates." The place is dirty and needs a lot of repairs. It seems like this place has been neglected for long time. It's 81 outside and the A/C is not working properly. My call light has wires exposed (See photo). If I would not have been in so much pain, I would have taken pictures of several other safety concerns. My intake was done on the other guy in the room that arrived earlier in the day. All his trauma and notes are being entered into my file. HIPPA, anyone? When I left the hospital, my pain was controlled at a 6/10. Due to their evening/overnight staff's lack of concern or respect, my pain kept increasing throughout the night. I had to plead for my medication AND THE FULL DOSE. When I asked for more ice packs, I got one disposable pack that was supposed to cover both my back and ribs. I would ask for more and get lectured out by the male staff who is wearing a zipped up winter jacket with the hood up. When the Social Worker came in, I let her know my thoughts and feelings about the situation. When I shared this post, they were shocked and started to try to make things right. Between my roommate keeping his TV and lights ON ALL NIGHT and the overnight staff YELLING at the guy in the room next to me to stop peeing in the hall and waling up and down the hall with no pants, I did not sleep at all! In the morning I called my surgeon and advised them of my situation, my pain was now at 10/10! I was told to call 911 and be brought back and admitted through the ER. It is sad that the only way I was able to get the care I needed was to call 911. What makes my heart sink even more, is that BOTH Paramedics told me how much they hate coming out to Villa locations. They shared that this is not the first time something like this has happened. THANK YOU Villas for setting my recovery back days to weeks! They asked me to remove this post. If they can make great strides and show me they can do better, then I will consider updating or removing this post. But, due to their negligence and abuse, I will keep this post up (and possible more) The moral of the story: The Villas at St. Paul is NOT a place to go to recover, it is a place you go TO DIE!
