Those who know me know I am not a Yoga person. While that may still be true (the high intensity hit your pose type) I am a fan of Brooke! On vacation My knee acted up after an intense hike and workout day. She happened to be teaching at the resort Im at and led my wife and I on a healing session targeting our problem areas. WOW! what a difference from what I am used to at home. She asked, observed, listened and moved us from one pose to another based on our feedback. She targeted all the trouble areas we had. Dr Brooke has saved me. I was having so much pain in my upper back from my job, that even after a 2 week vacation the pain still hadn't lessened. I went to see her based on a glowing recommendation from a very close friend. Our first visit she was so hospitable and friendly she put me at ease. She started treatment right then and there. It's been a couple months and I feel so, so, so much better. Brooke was amazing! I was looking through my insurance providers and saw that she happened to take my insurance, so I did some further research at her website: http://brookeforeman.com/ She has a few locations, but I went to the central location that is off of 31st 1/2 street. Pretty easy to get to from my downtown office location. She has a very easy booking system online as well to see when she has availability. The "office" itself is a house that is converted, she partners up with Stork Maternity at the location I went to. You go to the treatment room and it is set up with soothing music and lighting, a wonderful heated massage table and a very calming atmosphere. I have never done acupuncture before, so I was a bit skeptical...the jury is still out as you need a few treatments, but I will be coming back because Brooke made it such a great visit. She explained everything in detail about the needles she will use, the sizing and the fact that they are one time use. Also, describing the sensations you will feel and if at any time you are not feeling OK then she will take them out. I just had a few needles done as a start, once they are all in...she lowers the lighting and you are then hanging out for about 30 minutes where you go into a dreamy snoozy stage. She also puts toe covers on your feet so they don't get warm, that is some attention to detail that I love. I also got a massage as an add on, and she blew my mind when she brought out the boob pillow. I can never have a normal massage again without one of these things! She has a very varied background as well, starting off as a pharmaceutical rep and then going into working at a doctor's office then finally deciding to chance her pace and going to acupuncture school. She also teaches yoga, it was all so very zen and she said that I would feel delicious when it was all over...and I did! read more

Wow, on a recent vacation to Kauai, I had the opportunity to experience the best acupuncture ever. Brooke was able to restore flexibility to my knee and to also alleviate the pain that I had in that same knee. One of the highlights was having time with the most amazing dog I've ever been around. I have had back problems for about 15 years after a car accident. I have tried steroid injections, chiropractors, and medicine with no relief.
