How disappointing can you get? I had had waited for an appointment with this doctor for almost three months. On the day of he appt. they shuffled me off to one of her partners because she was overbooked. He diagnosed my problem as a tumor in my knee and ordered an MRI van to come to my house. The "alleged" tumor was my knee replacement surgery! Of course he didn't listen, but offered to sell me an over the counter tube of salve for $30. I walked out, and never set foot there again. One has to wonder if the good Dr. Gifford really knows what goes on in her practice! read more

Been having a nasty pain on the sides of both feet for last 2 months creating callouses. I'm fairly active so do walking, hiking, road and trail running and everytime, seemed to be getting worse. Saw Dr. Gifford's great reviews but was worried I'd have to wait weeks as she's booked up in advance (deservedly so as she's amazing!) so I called yesterday morning at 10:15am, and by luck and the sweetness of the staff particularly the nice lady I spoke to whose name escapes me, they had a 10:30am cancellation and told me to come on in! Staff didn't want me to lose any visit time so they let me fill out the new patient forms after I met with her... Dr. Gifford took one look, new immediately what the problem was and went to work right away! She fixed me up, gave me recommendations for new shoes and I was on my way. Obviously had to vet through the podiatrists within my network to see which one provides the best care through yelp and after seeing Dr. Brooke Giffords she definitely did NOT disappoint. Same with Dr. Heraj Patel. Both are great but I got two steroid shots from Dr. Giffords and she is skilled at what she does. I have a hate for long syringes but she made it totally doable! She and her staff are amazing! You are greet by happy, friendly staff, seen within minutes. She is very personable, experienced, and knowledgeable. She explains everything multiple times and provides visuals. X-ray machine is on site. It's never crowded, very clean, and everyone helpful. I schedule surgery pretty quickly, did not have to wait months. The surgery was at TOSH (Yay)! Everything went smoothly. Follow up visits were quick and easy. She is alway a pleasure and explains everything in detail. Dr. Gifford responds quickly when called. I wish all medical experiences were this east and pleasant. read more

Phoned in and made appointment for my son. Receptionist was nice, gave us heads up to print, fillout intake forms that were accessible online and bring in. Dr. Giffords's office was easy to find. Place looks new, was immaculate from reception to exam room. Dr. Gifford was punctual and thorough during exam. She had great bedside manner especially since my kiddo just wanted to talk about kids stuff and touch her Ipad. My daughter had an ingrown toenail and I called Performance Foot&Ankle and got her in the same day...Dr.Gifford is an excellent doctor and the staff was wonderful!!! My daughter had a bad experience with a previous doctor that had done the same procedure on a different toe. She was terrified on going to any podiatrist after that experience. My daughter (who has danced for about 13 years) had a horrible plantar's wart that we tried to handle with OTC stuff but it just wasn't responding. We were able to get an appointment the next day. The office is very clean and professional and friendly. Dr. Gifford was very gentle and kind with my daughter. She explained with it was very slowly and delicately and let us know the treatment options. She was able to treat it on the spot, which was also greatly appreciated. I always prefer for my girls to see a female professional when possible as models of success and role models of the future. Dr. Gifford was just that - she is very intelligent, professional, and informative. My daughter also had a toe that she thought was broken, and she examined the toe and confirmed that it was just strained and no other treatment would be needed. We have a follow up appointment next week, and don't anticipate any concerns. Once again, we were very pleased with Dr. Gifford, her beside manner, and her calm and professional demeanor is great for all patients. read more

My 14 year old daughter had severely infected ingrown toe nails on both big toes and all 4 sides. She was afraid to tell me how bad they were because a year ago I took her to see a pediatrist to take care of an ingrown toe nail, just one side of one big toe. My daughter already gets very anxious when having to see the doctor, but on top of that, this doctor had zero patience and ended up not numbing her toe and just cut and ripped the nail out. My daughter screamed. It was that experience that scared her so badly that she endured terrible pain in both toes. When they finally got so bad that she came to me crying, did she finally show me what was going on. I went online ASAP and came across Dr Gifford. Thank goodness I did. She squeezed my daughter in ASAP and was very empathetic and patient with my daughter. Explained everything she was doing as she was doing it and really took her time talking and calming my daughter down so much so that my daughter made the comment that Dr Gifford and her nurse were the nicest dr's she had seen. :). Also, because her case was so severe, the pain was very bad the first 48 hrs and the on call doctor was as equally understanding and knowledgeable. He even text me to check in on her and she wasn't even his patient. Highly recommend Dr Gifford and the entire office. read more

Dr. Gifford is pleasant, punctual and thorough. She took her time to explain what she was doing in the process and the orthotics were a great fit on the first try (both pair - one for my work shoes the other for running). I ran into a billing issue with my insurance company, and when Dr. Gifford learned of it she immediately contacted her billing department to get the issue resolved to my satisfaction. Her responsiveness and the degree to which she cared about my experience really made an impression. My daughter was so comfortable with Dr. Gifford and could not stop saying how she was the sweetest doctor ever! My daughter had been complaining for a few months about pain in her heel so I finally took her to a pediatrician who sent me to Dr. Gifford. I took my 7 year old daughter to see Dr. Gifford and she was fabulous. Very gentle and kind with my daughter. Dr. Gifford, along with the office staff, made us feel very welcome. Dr. Gifford was very good at explaining what was going on with my daughter's foot, and gave us a variety of things we could do to help it. All inexpensive options I might add. Before going to see her I was concerned that going to a specialist was going to end up in seeing someone with a gruff and quick to get out manner (that has been our experience with other specialists). I was also worried that this visit would lead to "it's probably nothing but lets run a whole bunch of tests just in case." That wasn't the case at all with Dr. Gifford. I felt complete confidence in her abilities and wish she were a pediatrician. read more
