Making an appointment was super easy, had no issues, staff was nice, and Dr. Zapf was funny, relaxed, and just to the point. I've been to Dr. Zapf in both the AH and TO offices. I had MLS laser treatments in the TO office so was there a lot. He is such a kind, patient and great doctor. His whole staff in both locations are absolutely wonderful! I had to tell them myself but also came here to share it. Great, caring doctor and excellent staff. I had a nail issue that Dr. Zapf treated. He was funny and kind. Go Bruins too! Everything was explained to me before the procedure. I did get a touch woozy with the numbing injection and the nurse was really sweet to me. She checked on me and even wheeled me out to the car. I called back with a question later in the day and the desk staff was really helpful and nice. Great care from Dr. Zapf and the whole team. I have been coming here for about a month now I was diagnosed with Plantar fasciitis. Dr Zapf has been really great explaining my situation to me and treating me and covering all options. Dr. Zapf and his front office staff and Jackie, his assistant in the back office are wonderful! I first took my son to Dr. Zapf 20 years ago when my son was in high school and I now take my mother who is 91. The office is clean with roomy exam rooms, beautiful views and nice new equipment. Dr. Zapf is professional and friendly. He is calm and very confident when he talks with my mother. We never have to wait too long and we don't ever feel rushed. He is very patient with my elderly mother and he speaks directly to her and answers her questions. Jackie is so kind and just as patient. She really is great with my mom. I can't remember if I've already posted on Yelp about how wonderful Dr. Zapf and his staff are. They were so good to my late husband. He had an unusual circumstance and Dr. Zapf, and the staff, went way above and beyond the call to treat him. He and Rachel came to the nursing home to treat my husband more than once. They didn't need to do that. The doctor sought out new and innovative treatments for Jay's issues. Jay saw many doctors for his condition but Dr. Zapf is the only one who thought outside of the box. Dr Zapf has been my podiatrist since January 2019. My feet were in such pain before being seen by Dr. Zapf. I've been so impressed by how well run and organized both his offices are (Thousand Oaks & Agoura). I now have customized orthotics and have had cortisone shots on two different occasions. Dr Zapf is an expert at giving these shots. They are painless! His nurse, Jackie, is wonderful and so helpful. I rarely have to wait to see him. I was diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis 4 years ago. I spent money on over the counter shoe inserts, expensive shoes, physical therapy, cortisone shots and anti inflammatory drugs, all of which helped very little. I saw Dr.Michael Zapf a month ago and he made me custom orthotics which worked almost immediately. For the first time in 4 years I am not in pain! I wasted so much time and money on things that didn't work. I wish I had seem Dr Zapf four years ago. He is professional, knowledgeable and very kind. Great doctor! Extremely friendly and helpful, and not at all rushed. I needed new/better custom insoles, and the plaster he used dried almost immediately so no waiting around, and he bagged my feet so no messy cleanup after! I ended up with fancy insoles that are amazing. Staff was good, no problems. read more

Dr. Michael A. Zapf, DPM is an experienced doctor! He is always cheerful and empathetic. He takes time to explain your problem and your treatment alternatives. He is an excellent surgeon with a light touch. He is so skillful you don't feel a thing. He is a very knowledgeable Podiatrist. My husband and I have been going to him for six years. In all that time he has never been late or unkind. My husband had a more serious problem and Dr. Zapf solved it in two different sessions. The office crew, Veronica, and Monet, have always been cheerful, competent, and supportive. You could not ask for a nicer group of medical professionals. After a few weeks of having a numb toe, I was concerned that I may have had a dead nerve or an ingrown toe nail. I found Dr. Zapf through my insurance directory and came in. I told the nurse how years ago I had an ingrown toe nail permanently removed and was left traumatized with the overall experience as I felt the procedure was very intense and uncomfortable that I ended up vomiting (it was worse than going through a fractured pelvis). When Dr. Zapf came in, he was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He explained what was going on with my foot.. It was an INGROWN TOE NAIL. I was hesitant about going through with this because of what I had experienced with a different podiatrist, I also was afraid of having my 5 year old daughter see me go through this pain (I'm a single mom, had to bring to my visit). Dr. Zapf was understanding and patient with me. The setting was professional and comfortable (they have the best patient chair). I was so distracted chatting with him and my daughter that I didn't even realize he was all done. It was completely the total opposite of what I had experienced with a prior podiatrist. I could not believe how short the procedure was and how there was no pain or discomfort at all. I walked away as if nothing had happened. I must say... I'm COMPLETELY AMAZED! read more

I would highly recommend going to Dr. Michael Zapf after my first consolation thru the final post operations from my two bunion surgeries. My first surgery was preformed on Oct. 15, 2015 at TOSH by Dr. Zapf. It was quite extensive with right and left bunions removed as well as screws inserted for stability and bunion removed from top of foot. The second surgery was preformed on Dec. 10, 2015 on my right foot, bunions removed with screw and staple inserted in big tow and bunion removed on top of foot. You must stay off your feet, keep them elevated and Iced for the 1st week and as much as possible after that. Do What The Doctor Orders for complete recovery. The boots you are required to wear are a must. I had one of my last appointments today, 2/24/16 and things are healing perfectly. I'm almost back to my old self to being active with sports and my workout routine. I can even get back to the links playing golf! If I had to do it over again I would definitely recommend the surgeries, no more pain with blisters and bandaids and sore feet. Dr. Michael Zapf is my hero and Savior.
