At my new dentist they have since informed me that i actually never needed a root canal ! Shocker !! They said she should have never let me leave the seat with my bite completely off and a crown 5 sizes too big for my mouth! Never once did I leave that office without feeling so uncomfortable and violated! This is a Money hungry place and they don't care about their patients well being at all! This practice should be SHUT DOWN

I called them back to tell them I had rescheduled they had no record of it. When I did go to the appointment the dentist tried selling me everything under the sun from teeth whitening to telling me I needed braces again. My teeth are white in my book and I have one tooth out of place. I felt really caught off guard and insulted and she even gave me an estimate for the cost of everything that I never even asked for. Will not return

So far I love Dr Levitt and his answers to my Dental issues. I have had Orthodontics in the past…read more The teeth where the braces were posted deteriorated over time. I had them extracted, and implants were placed. Over time all molars were replaced with implants. I grind my teeth and the front teeth were large spacing occurred. I went to 4 different dentists. They ALL suggested implants. The last one told me my teeth were too loose to try to adjust them. UConn did not suggest or worry when they placed my implants. I went to Aspen Dental to have an implant re attached. They were good. The problem with Aspen is they have no resident dentists and when I had a crown placed; it was left with a sharp edge, and no one to fix it. I had to go to my husband's Dentist and have him fix the sharp edge. Aspen did refund my dental fee for the fix. They never scheduled maintenance for cleanings. I returned to my husband's dentist for cleanings. I loved Dr Barry and his staff. They recommended I have the teeth that were spaced be replaced with a bridge for the cost of $45,000.00. I was shocked by the price and never returned to them. I got a quote for the same work in Stamford CT of $20,000.00. I was questioning why I needed to have that done when my teeth were not loose. I started to explore Veneers which led me to Dr Levitt. He educated me on why it would be better to do all crowns. I am going Thursday to have the temporary crowns put in. I felt because We had spent the money on orthodontics, implants, and I was brushing and flossing that spending another $45,000. Was not justifiable. Thank you Dr Levitt.

During my procedure, with laughing gas, I was told that I was going to have a root canal. I was pulled off the gas and told to sign some papers. I did this, and then went back under the gas, feeling nauseated the entire time. It was then the worst root canal of my life; long, painful and nauseated. When I came out the dr and the nurse looked visibly shaken like they hadn't expected it. I was sent home WITHOUT a prescription for antibiotics. Over the next three days, my swelling went from bad to worse as my neck began to swell up in the front. The pain was unbelievable. On Monday I called the office as soon as they opened and todl them that my neck was swelling. I was told to take ibuprofen and use a hot compress. On Tuesday, it got even worse and I began to struggle with the feeling of something in my throat. I went into the office and the dentist looked at me and said "Well, I think it's an infection, so we will give you another round of antibiotics. I said "You never gave me a first round" and they looked panicked. They sent me to an oral surgeon in New Milford who did x-rays. They could see the infection and told me if it got any worse to go immediately to the ER. The next morning, I woke up and could barely breathe. My husband raced me to the ER where they pumped me full of steroids and antibiotics and did a CAT scan on my neck. I was there for nine hours, and I have never been so scared in my life. There are no words to capture how scary it is feeling your windpipe slowly close. When I reached out to the dental team, I heard NOTHING. They did not check on me, they did not offer any help or empathy. This mistake, and their lack of follow up not only almost cost me my life, but it cost around 8,000 in medical bills. When I went to them with a reasonable request to pay back thte money that their mistake had cost me (and nothing more), they couldn't be bothered. I had to pursue it for months until an outside company reached out to me to say they believed they did nothign wrong. I have never gotten an apology or even a voicemail from the dentist. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. When i went for a follow-up to another dentist (since I refused to go back), she told me that my root canal was done improperly and that we would need to do it again because it was done sloppily. I wept in the chair at the idea of having anything done in that area. This was my experience with the Dental Team; one that I unfortunately for my health and my bank account, will never forgot.
