We rented a house not to far from Dutch Bait and brought our boats…read more Unbeknownst to us, the driveway to the house had a 21% grade steep down which meant there was no way we could take our boats down the driveway and nowhere to park the trailer. In our attempt to locate a boat ramp or marina we came across Dutch Bait. They solved our problem immediately with boat storage, guided us to fishing licenses, bait and fishing supplies. If they were not there we don't know what we would have done as we just drove 5 hours to get there. We left and went to the house and was unpacking when we heard someone hollering for someone. When we went to look up at the driveway, there was Donna and Dutch, my husband forgot his credit card and they drive around looking for us. We told them about where we were staying and they located us. Amazing!!! THANK YOU Donna and Dutch!

We went on the private reserve with Than Axtel, our guide, and started to get hits on the first casts. As newbies we lost more than were landed, but 15 between us in the net was pretty good for the first time. Than was relaxed and incredibly patient with my knots, breaks, and trees and must have shouted "set" a thousand times. Definitely a first rate operation and a great store. The staff here is friendly and eager to help out: the river, of course, is scarcely a half mile away, so it's easy to get what you need and get to fly fishing in the water very quickly.
