I came into Brookline because I was told over the phone they had a nursing program.When I showed up they only had medical assisting and other programs I wasn't interested in,which was a little frustrating since I drove that far on my one day off to come in.But I explained to them it was a misunderstanding no big deal.Liv is so sweet but then Amanda the director of admissions started asking me all these questions and instead redirecting me to another school,she told me that she was "concerned" based on my "level of education" that nursing was going to be too hard.Asked me if I can even handle a 4 hour test.Told me only 50% can even get in. She was very condescending and rude.Also said I'm going to be in tons of debt and said I would likely not be able to afford the out of pocket.She asked me really unnecessary questions like how much my paychecks are. I never feel the need to write bad reviews but she was unbelievably pushy and made a lot of assumptions about me as a person.I felt judged and I know she is trying to get people to take classes at this school that is her job but I will never attend this school!Even if I consider medical assisting I will find somewhere else to take my hard earned money.Amanda is a terrible sales person. They are unprofessional from the teachers to how they handle complaints to how the higher ups "deescalates" those complaints. The curriculum is all over the place they keep giving you different dates on graduation and even from the start they kept giving me different start dates. They are hard to get in touch with but when they need you come down for something they need done they call multiple times. Bad communication, unprofessional teaches and staff. read more

My experience with Brookline college in surgical tech program. I was at the final stage of classes before going into clinicals, I had a misscarriage and had to have a D&C procedure done on the day of my final... was told I had to take part of a pre certification test that the classes need to take to see where everyone was at before going to clinicals... I dont do great and didn't end up passing. Wasn't even given time to grieve my loss and I was told I failed the class due to not passing the pre certification test... which was never disclosed in my sylibus or viberally to me... they told me I had to retake the class... after retaking and re paying for the class I passed... now 6 months down the road... I can't even find a job that garenties my hours... I work at surgery center only make 63 hours at $25 hrs. I'm now currently going to back to my old job.. To make money read more

Brookline College Tempe campus provided a great learning environment for me to get my Medical Assisting diploma. My instructor, Ms. Lidia Para is amazing and knows everything about being a successful MA. I enjoyed working with Susan in career services. Susan guided me through the school year preparing me with great tools to help me with after graduation success such as preparing me for interviews and finding the right job that suits all of my needs. Susan also helped me with great material during the school year. I appreciate Roberta for guiding me through the school year as well. All three of my favorite staff have been a great back bone to my learning experience. DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!! Theyre involved in so much fraud & scam. I applied to Brookline and was in school October 2023. Withdrew in March 2024. NOT A SINGLE SOUL WILL ANSWER THE PHONES. YOULL SPEND THE WHOLE SEMESTER TRYING TO GET A CALL BACK. I now go to Glendale Community College. In the month of March OUT OF THE BLUE I stopped having access to my coursework and online classes. Mind you, I'm a straight A student and no financial holds on my account. I reached out to IT thinking it's a technical issue, and of course they stopped responding to me. Reached out to my teacher, no response. The only person that was actually helpful was Michelle Clark but once I withdrew she stopped answering of course. Mind you Michelle Clark doesn't even live in the state of Arizona. Why this school has individuals from other states assisting students? No clue. Why is the admissions representative more helpful than IT, the director and the school itself ? No idea. I even tried communicating with my teacher Donald Miedema, I sent him multiple emails to get the assignments and discussions and I get NO response. The teachers are just as incompetent. The classes at Brookline are only five weeks long so if you don't have access to a class, you can't move onto the other class, right? This technical issue went on for a full month, with no response from anyone, no assistance nobody answering the phones so I decided I was done. fuck this school because why are we paying $30,000+ just to end up having so many issues that you don't even deal with in HIGH SCHOOL. I've seen daycares run better. I've sent multiple emails and called so much there's also no guarantee that this won't happen again since in person classes don't start until September. This issue started in February & continued all the way to March with no response until I started constantly calling and sending email to ANYONE WHO WOULD LISTEN and it's complete silence and no help from anyone except Michelle. Finally after a MONTH of not doing shit the director Lance Longacre tried convincing me to stay but I knew this was a sign from God to get the hell out of this school and go to a REAL COLLEGE. He put IT, my teacher and financial advisor all in a meeting and had them apologize to me of course they can take that fake apology and shove it up their ass cause it didn't mean or do anything Beneficial to me the student. You will be in DEBT trying to complete this nonsense program. Save your money and go to a real community college and actually learn something. Btw the credits will NOT TRANSFER if you want to further your education you will have to start ALL OVER FROM THE BEGINNING. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR ENERGY AT BROOKLINE. I had straight A's but decided to drop out due to the fact that we did not have a professor and had three different people teaching us every week that didn't have their curriculums aligned. Getting ahold of anyone that works there is the hardest thing to do, I went months without having an advisor. During the process of my withdrawal, I discussed that I did not want to withdrawal if financially i owed anymore than what my loan was. 10/23/23 was my 1st day of class. I found out I was pregnant the following month. I went through so much stress with class that I lost my pregnancy. Fast forward I started extern May 2024 and was dropped due to me communicating with the supervisor that I will be missing a day to pay rent. Unbeknownst to me my battery died that following Monday and I communicated that as well with the supervisor and was told it was ok for me to miss that day. I received a follow up message saying not to show up for Tuesday because there's nothing for me to do. Wednesday I show up at 8:30am like discussed per the supervisor from last week and was told I was no longer needed to leave my badge. I proceeded to do so. Not only did I lose my child I also lost money and time I will never get back. I will never recommend this weak school that doesn't show any empathy for humans. Therefore, NO one will hire me because I do not have experience. I have contacted the school several times over the years since I've graduated and that was 4 years ago. Honestly, it's one of the worst schools I've ever seen operate. I've never dealt with so much unprofessionalism and I'm now a current student here. So far we've had multiple teachers quit left and right, we've seen bullying within staff, we've seen inappropriate comments with staff and the list just goes on. I had straight A and less than two weeks till graduation they told me I couldn't finish the program. They wanted me to pay them 8000 more to switch my degree. Brookline was horrible Back in 2014 I started their dental assisting class. The class went smooth. I had the highest GPA in the program at the time. The director BS'd the first MOD, the next teacher was well meaning but didn't know much about modern technology, including dental tech. The price was horrible. More expensive than ASU tuition. Community college is half the cost. They prey on low income people with lots of fafsa benefits. I remember our oral radiology finals, they were a complete failure. I got a high B, on student got a c, one student got a d and the other 10 or so failed entirely. This is due to being the only MOD the teachers have to take seriously, and so students were blindsided. All other course we're basically easy money and the teachers made it so no one had to study. I met a guy who failed twice. Brookline is not properly accredited by the agency that is important. You will not be a certified dental assistant after completion due to this. Instead you have to work as one for 2 years before being qualified to get the certification. That applies to everyone. In order to be a certified dental assistant you are better off going to Rio Salado which is properly accredited and thus you will be able to earn your cda right after completion so long as you finish, and pass the right tests after the program. This is the kicker. Upon being fed up with the school I quit and had both the director and javi the recruiter yelling at me to not quit. They were being super rude. Well I guess this is the kicker. I never asked for a private loan and they never told me I was going to receive a private loan. And I am currently being sued for one that I hot from this school. So screw brookline, they just want money. read more

I love Brookline College! (Tempe Campus) I started in April and it was the best choice I made for myself. I checked out other small colleges around Arizona and they just didn't give me the feelings that Brookline did. I was immediately welcomed, the staff and administration were friendly, and the campus had a family-oriented feeling. I have 7 children, so I needed a program that would work great with my schedule, with a family. I choose the medical assisting program, because I am a hands-on learner, and it's a hands-on program. We go from lecture, straight to lab to test our learned skills, and eventually master them. I haven't been in school for over 10 years and I was nervous I couldn't do this. My program instructor is amazing and I love her. She makes sure she ties in her humor, so it honestly helps me learn and retain all the information given to us. She will not move on until she knows everyone is confident in our abilities. Here at Brookline College, they all help daily with making sure were competent in all we do. They all want us to see you succeed. I have many personal strengths, along with other weaknesses. Brookline helps me daily with those weaknesses, until I can say this no longer a weakness, it's a personal strength. If you want a successful future and a professional attitude environment then the Tempe Campus of Brookline College is right for you. It really has been the best choice I made. NEVER SIGN UP FOR THIS SCHOOL! This college is so awful I made a Yelp account just in hopes that one of you will read this review and run as far away from this "school" as possible. First, I was lied to by the advisers when I went to the Tempe campus. I had told them I was interested in the Physical Therapy Assistance program. Livvy, one of the "advisers" explained to me that I needed to take a Medical Billing and Coding course before I could continue onto the Physical Therapy Assistance Program which made absolutely no sense to me. If you're still reading this, thank you and I want you to know I can't reiterate enough how many times I asked "are you sure this is the right path for the Physical Therapy Assistance Program?" I even asked other advisers and was given the same information. She and others said yes so many times and were so reassuring that I went through with signing up. I wish I didn't. After a few months of hating the course and wanting to move onto the Physical Therapy Assistance Program I decided to look into how much longer I had as well as how long the Physical Therapy Assistance Program is. I called the Tempe campus to inquire more and I was informed the Tempe campus doesn't even offer the Physical Therapy Assistance Program, they offer it at their Phoenix Campus which is way too far of a commute for myself. I also was informed by someone at the Phoenix campus that the Physical Therapy Assistance Program is 21 months long and a full 8am-4pm. If I had been given this single piece of information I would have never even signed up, wouldn't even be typing this review. I dropped out of the school cause it was not what I wanted to do and needed to figure out how to get my debt reversed. The school claiming I owe them $4,400 after their employee lied to me and signed me up for the wrong courses. After going to the school very angry and speaking with Matthew Egan, one of the main directors of Brookline, I use that term very loosely. He informed he "has quite the pull around here" and he will "see what I can do". He seemed very helpful and I was hopeful it would be resolved in the correct manner. Well, after two weeks of ignoring my phone calls and voicemails I emailed another director and explained to them the situation. Matthew called me the same day to inform me he "still needs to talk to a few people but ultimately I will be making the decision." The next day he called me to inform me I would still need to pay the debt cause "there is just no way any of my story is believable." I had no idea my $4,400 was going to make or break the school. I attended Brookline (Tempe Campus) last year. I did graduate from the Criminal Justice program that to my understanding they dropped all together now. I have been out of school for 7 months now. I have not heard of when graduation will be nor have I received my official transcript or diploma. I was told I had to get rid of some specific debt first before they would give me my papers. I am now being removed from the selection process if I dont have these forms. thank you. I finally found the debt that they were talking about and after I broke it down as to what paid for what things. I am not in debt for on campus housing costs and food for the entire year. I did ALL classes SINCE MY FIRST DAY TO MY LAST online at my house. due to covid. I will not pay for these. I can never reach anyone regardless of the department they work in I have called and send several emails. Being a former student and I graduated. I recommend to attend a local community college that's accredited. I spent a lot of money on a diploma that I don't use at all. I am not in the field of being a Medical Assistant. I make more money being in the field I was in prior to attending Brookline. I paid off my student loans. I am so upset with myself because with the amount of money I spent in paying off my student loans, I would have gone to Mesa Community College. Another thing is... the classes aren't really informative and there's a high turn around in instructors which makes it difficult to be consistent in teaching the curriculum. It was frustrating for many of the students when we had different instructions coming and going. So I suggest before signing your name on the student loan documents to sit down and think of other schools that you could attend. I'm only saying this so you won't make the same mistake I made. Took the Phlebotomy program. They ask WAY to much money for a Phlebotomy program. Also, its 39 weeks long? If you look up other schools, or classes. Its so much cheaper and only like 4 weeks. There was absolutely no reason for a Phlebotomy program to go on for 39 weeks. But hey when you go to a school that only cares about money, they will give you classes that have nothing to do with what you are studying. They get paid for attendance and if you miss a day, they will be on your butt. They dont care what you have going on. Highly would not recommend. So here's my story I was across the street from their Phoenix building taking the NCLEX RN exam my husband dropped me off that day I was to nervous to drive. Well my phone died so I walked over to Brookline College to see if I could use their phone and the two ladies at the front desk were so welcoming. They allowed me to wait in the lobby cause it was a bit toasty outside. Each staff member that walked by greeted me with a smile and a hello. I completely agree with ALL of the negative reviews on this school. I was an instructor for this college from June 2013 to February 2014. I worked at the Tempe campus under an amazing director! He left and an awful woman named Cheryl with a really BAD reputation took over. She was a bully, she set out to completely get rid of all of the best instructors, myself included. My students respected me and loved my classes. When she pointed her nasty finger at me to get rid of me the students wrote letters and begged her to keep me. She punished them for it. The school has since lost all of their great instructors because of this horrible person. Ive moved on to a happier college with a great team of people I can respect. This school is not looking in the best interest of the student. I have had problems with this school twice, had to go as far as notifying the board of education for the mistreatment and unfair claims presented by the staff and teachers. I won my claim. I ended up going on maternity leave when I had to start my externship with the school. I notified the school two weeks in advance on when I was returning and waiting for them to find me a place to do my externship. I was on hold for months and still did not finish my externship so I can graduate. I am in process of taking them to court, but just want to warn all those who are looking to go to this school. Watch out they don't treat you with any respect and ARE NOT looking out for you, especially if they cant get externship sites for its students! After reading all the negative comments, I realized that they are outdated. Many of the people I know you're talking about are gone now. I attend this college & honestly, only have good things to say. I feel I'm getting a good education & my instructor is properly preparing me for the "real" world. I had a very bad experience here. My instructor was great but the programs are way to rushed. A different chapter every day and a quiz everyday. How are you supposed to learn like that. I only attended for 11 days before I withdrew. I talked to student services, my instructor and my admissions Rep letting them know why I withdrew than I get a letter saying I was terminated for missing 14 days. I didnt attend those days because i had already withdrew from the school! Their response was they must have had me confused with another student, still never said they would change the terminated part. To top it off they call me after and say I owe 2,000 for attending for not even two weeks!! Way overpriced! I felt that I was lied to the entire time. I personally wouldn't recommended this school.
